Great place for a guys get away. The separate sleeping areas were good for us guys to be together, then go back to own quiet areas. Walking distance to the beach was great and caught more fish than we could keep track of.

Hosts were so nice!! The places was absolutely beautiful and was perfect if you want to be able to quickly walk to and from the beach all day. The whole time we were there there were only 2 other people, sp we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Also 2 of the beds are right uo against the windo so you can fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to a beautiful view of the ocean.

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Seagull Shipping Home! You truly can’t beat the location—it was perfect in every way. Each container is so creatively designed, cozy, and full of character. The outdoor spaces were wonderful and gave us plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together. We even had “church” as a family on the large deck, which made the stay even more special.The bathrooms were spotless, and the small laundry area was such a thoughtful touch after long days at the beach. This place has everything you need and more. We can’t wait to come back and stay again very soon!

Host were very responsive which was nice. Loved the container idea, perfect when you have teenagers. They loved having their own space. Look forward to booking here in the future.

A breath of fresh air

Mere steps from a private beach, a large second-story patio with a full view of the sea, and very well appointed and comfy furnishings make this beach house the perfect escape.

Great spot right on the beach

We got to stay here a couple of weeks after the hurricane. It looked like Sargent was hit very hard with many still in the middle of cleanup. The property was in great condition and clean! Our family fished right on the beach and caught so many crabs too! We will def book again.

Weekend Get Away

Awesome experience. Very unique setup with the shipping containers. Great view of the beach. Everything on the property was exactly as described in description. Jamie and Don had the best communication by far of any VRBO host I’ve worked with. Extremely communicative and hospitable.

So this property was exactly as listed. Proximity to the beach was great as was the beach for driving our side by sides. The literal only downside, and this might not be an issue for everybody, is that the main container with the kitchen and living area along with the bedroom stayed extremely warm. The clock thermometer on the wall never dropped below 80 degrees and got as high as 86 at one point (after a brief power outage that was not the property owners fault it got up to 87 as you would expect in texas without power). The other to much small containers with different types of ac (window units rather than portable ac unit that could only face one end or the other of the container while letting massive amounts of outside air in from exhaust hose and connections) stayed nice and chilly even without power. Also another unusual thing in the main container was whenever the air was on the vinyl flooring which was not glued down only tucked under the walls puffed up about 6 inches through out the container. It felt like we were walking in a very firm bounce house. All that being said we still had fun and if the air conditioning issue was addressed we would definitely stay there again.

Container of Fun

We have been watching this new build for a while and when we finally got the chance to book it we were excited to see how this container home went together. Its perfect for a rental. You could easily take three couples, or your entire family. Each container has its own bathroom, bed, and other amenities. Everything is fresh and clean. We really enjoyed the large deck up top to hang out on and listen to the Gulf. Very large concrete area below with plenty of room to park a boat, truck, and toys. Plenty of hose bibs to wash down after the beach or bay. Plenty of plugs for whatever you need. We took our pellet grille and set up a portable outdoor kitchen by the stairs, it was perfect. Basically no neighbors to either side which is nice. Air conditioners were cold and beds were very comfortable. We will be booking again in the near future. The property owner communication was also better than any we have had in the past. They care about your stay.
