The Villa was absolutely perfect, great location, great outside porch sitting/eating area & close walk to long bay restaurant & bar.

My perfect retreat

I really enjoyed being here and on the Island even though the location may be considered remote by some if you do not have transport then it is very easy to get a taxi. The views are stunning the people so lovely and the accommodation is in the most perfect spot. If you visit this property I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Great Stay!

Loved this gem in Long Bay. It was the perfect spot for us to use as our base as we explored the amazing nearby beaches. We mostly hung out at Long Bay beach by Nature Boy and at Smugglers Cove which were both minutes away by car. The unit comes with everything you’d need for the beach which was appreciated. The unit overlooks a beautiful pool that is part of the relaunched Long Bay resort. We are “beach people“ and were looking to maximize our beach time and therefore not too interested in the fancy pool. I do however, believe “non-resort” guests can purchase a daily “resort pass” for 100 per person when the resort has availability - If having a villa or hotel with daily access to a pool is important to you - either budget for the daily resort pass or maybe look at a different accommodation options. For us it was perfect!!!

Lack of Pool Access is VERY unfortunate

It is important to make clear that the Long Bay Villas have NOTHING to do with the Long Bay Beach Resort. Though the condo itself was quite nice (having 2 bathrooms was a plus), the fact that we could not enjoy the gorgeous pool area that we looked out to steps away was very unfortunate. Though the owner did mention in the very last line of the Notes section the pool was off limits, there was a photo of the pool area in the description so I assumed we could enjoy it. We were turned away by management even though we planned on patronizing the bar...a big loss for their staff. To basically look out to the gorgeous area and refreshing pool daily was TORTURE! I would not have rented had I known it was off limits...as usual, renter BEWARE. Also a note to the owner: providing 2 beach chairs for our use on Long Bay beach (chairs were only provided for resort guests naturally) and to take to other beaches would have been a nice touch.

Thanks for your feedback, we have added two beach chairs and an umbrella for the beach :) Long Bay Villas are privately owned as stated in our description, however we share the same beach with the resort, the resort restaurant, bar, shops, spa and tennis courts have always been accessible to our guests. The pool was opened in January, it is officially only for resort guests and local members, however some of our guests have patronized the pool bar and have been allowed to use the pool. The resort has suggested that their policy may change in future during busy and low seasons. We do not list a pool as an amenity and we have never suggested that the pool is included with a rental at Caroleann. The resort pool is in some of our pictures as we are located next to it and our view is of the pool and gardens with the ocean behind, It would be misleading not to include a picture of our view. I am sorry that Monica was disappointed. We have had a solidly booked first season and all other reviews received across the platforms were 5 star, with or without the pool, the beach is so close by and super beautiful :)
