The Lookout was a perfect fit for our family on a very busy weekend. Ann and Dan were very welcoming and attentive hosts. They take wonderful care with their property, from the library to plants to the fully appointed kitchen. Everything was wonderful.

We found the property to be beautiful, clean, spacious and fit our needs perfectly. Girls trip for 4 women. So having plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms and open kitchen, dinning and living room was perfect. No TV in living room so we thought we’d miss it. NOPE! We were so busy shopping, hiking, winery distilleries and cards that we didn’t miss it at all. Would stay again.

The kitchen was well equipped and there was a great spice drawer. Bedrooms and bathrooms were among the best we have encountered in our Door County rentals. The spacious patio (partially covered with a fan) was equipped with a Weber charcoal grill, Green Egg and a pizza over. The path to conservancy area with its hiking paths was a bonus. Also loved the available bikes. We will be back.

The Lookout is an amazing property to stay at in Door County. It is an exceptionally clean, extremely well-appointed, spacious home. We were able to come back from a busy day of exploring the peninsula and relax in this peaceful home and appreciate the all of the nature and beauty surrounding it. It was a perfect girls getaway and hope to be back!

This home was very accommodating for 8 adults and a baby. Home was beautiful, bedrooms were nice, with 5 beautiful full bathrooms. It was in a private, quiet remote area in the northern Door County. If you’re looking for a home to accommodate a large group very comfortably & pleasantly, this is the place. Liked it so much, I would stay again.

Everything about this house was perfect. It was extremely well equipped, clean, spacious and beautiful. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great time. It was super convenient to get to sister Bay and there is honestly nothing. I would change about it.

Lovely House

Our group had a very good time. We enjoyed the pizza oven and had great times by the fire pit. So much to do in Door County.

The hosts were responsive, kind and helpful. The house was gorgeous, and had everything we needed for our stay. The generator was very much appreciated during a power outage. Check out was hassle free. Loved The Lookout!

This house was perfect for four couples. Everyone was able to have their owns space and bathrooms. The house had everything we needed and it was nice to get away from the busy touristy areas. It was very quiet and we were able to do some nice stargazing while we were there. It will be hard to top this property when it comes to functionality and features.

Simply the best place we've stayed at in Door County

We didn't want to leave. The owners of this property didn't miss a beat with the decor, incidentals, and comforts of home. We cannot wait to rebook in the future and enjoy the spectacular beds, enormous kitchen, and beautiful views.

Amazing property

We had the most amazing time staying in this beautiful, modern, new construction home. The property was truly a slice of heaven. We enjoyed watching the birds and relaxing on the beautiful patio and deck. The design of the home was thoughtful and perfectly executed. We can't wait to go back!

Great Stay

We stayed here for a bachelorette party. There was plenty of space for our whole group. The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a great weekend, including an ooni pizza oven! We enjoyed being a little further out but it is still very close to sister bay.

Five Stars!!

The Lookout was the perfect spot for our family trip to Door County! The home has a spacious contemporary design with beautiful finishes and features large windows that make nature the star of the show. Just a short drive to Lake Michigan, Ellison Bay and Sister Bay made the location convenient to many of our favorite spots. After a full day it was so nice to come back to enjoy a quiet fire and some star gazing. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay perfect. Such a cool place, highly recommend!!

Fantastic property in the woods

We had a wonderful stay with family and our 6-month-old son. The hosts were attentive and accommodating to all of our needs and went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice time. The house is great for groups and was well thought out, and the overall property had a nice quiet secluded feel. There were amazing hiking trails that connected directly to the backyard, yet it was a short drive into some of our favorite towns in Door County. Just a cool place overall!

Overall we loved our stay at this property. Check-in / out were incredibly easy, and communication with the hosts was seamless. Secluded and private, but a very short drive to multiple surrounding towns where there's more action. The house is really cool and has some great views into the nature preserve. Very peaceful surroundings, and a lot of opportunities to look at wildlife. The kitchen area is awesome and very well stocked with tools/appliances, way more than we expected. Other highlights include multiple outdoor cooking options, firepit stocked with firewood, a whole bookshelf full of books and board games, toys, multiple washers/dryers, multiple coffee makers, etc. - some of this is well beyond what we typically see on our stays. The layout worked very well for what we were looking for (2 families of 4), the outdoor areas were very comfortable (including a covered patio space with a fan to circulate air), and the kids loved hanging out up in the loft. If I had to give points of criticism, the two I'd pick are: AC is ceiling-mounted units in common areas, not central, so we had to leave bedroom doors open to make sure they didn't get too warm (notable that it was HOT while we were there); and there wasn't a lot of usable lawn space (in hindsight, probably something we should've known from the listing - outdoor areas were great for hanging out, but we regretted packing things like bags boards, baseball gloves, etc.)

We have found that leaving the doors open during the day allows the bedrooms to get cool enough during Door county cool nights. We hope that you were cool enough. Family time in Door County

Modern and well equipped, , "The Lookout" is better than advertised. This new home is comfortable, warm, and perfect for our family gathering. We loved the view of the woods from every room and watched the birds from the great room. We also played games at the giant table, and had room for some down time when needed. The location is private and extremely quiet, yet close enough to Fish Creek, Elison Bay, and all of our favorite Door County attractions. Our hosts were great and highly recommend.

The Lookout is a beautiful home in a peaceful area of Door County, off the beaten path but close enough to the villages to offer convenience and quiet. We loved the extra touches like the coffee bar, pizza oven, bikes, and bathroom amenities. Having ample beds and bathrooms for our family provided privacy and space for all, along with beautifully appointed spaces for dining and visiting together. The property was clean and comfortable, Dan and Ann were communicative and helpful. Had we needed anything, I have no doubt they would have been helpful, however our every need was already met. The art, decor, and extra touches at the home were lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
