We had a great stay

Loved the location and the house was stocked with everything you’d need and more in case you forget something while traveling. Highly recommend and would stay again

Nice property to kick back and relax. Very welcoming on the inside. In a good location, quick drive to South Padre Island, not too far from town

Do not book this property. We had it booked two weeks ahead of time. We drove 9 hours to be there. Host never sent the door code, so we called, texted, and emailed them with no response. At 8pm, 5 hours after check-in time we got an email saying our stay was cancelled. Never a call back or response from the host. Just cancelled. This is close to the Mexican border keep in mind. No good hotels to stay in locally so we had to drive an hour north to find a reputable hotel to stay in. Three weeks later now and still no response or apology from that host. VRBO did find us a new place to stay close so thanks for that but this host should be removed from VRBO. And if they do read this I want you to know you’re trash for doing what you did and leaving us stranded at night this close to the border with no response or reason why. I’d give you zero stars if I could.

The reservation was cancelled the same day you booked. VRBO dropped the ball! They did not cancel it as requested(unbeknownst to me). You are welcome to contact them and ask them if host reached out to cancel the reservation the same day it was booked. I was just as surprised that you reached out and asked for access information on the day of check-in because again I cancelled it on the day you booked it. VRBO indicated that they would handle the situation. I do sincerely apologize that you were left stranded but we did handle the matter responsibly. If VRBO has not dropped the ball, you would have had 2 weeks to make an alternative booking.
