Great Get Away

This is a great place to get away, unwind and enjoy all the amenities of Lake Almanor. Highly recommended! We loved our week at the lake.

This is definitely a five star value. Brad is a great host and extremely attentive to the check-in process and to anything that you might need during your stay. They put a lot of effort and love into the decor of this home. The location is perfect with very close proximity to the Pickleball courts, basketball court, lake water, and boat launch. The artificial grass in the backyard is wonderful for the kids. The house was well equipped, including pickleball paddles and bocce balls.While it may not be an issue for some, the upstairs loft does not have a wall or door which limits the amount of privacy for whomever is upstairs. If kids, then probably not a problem. My wife and I were joined by our daughter, her husband and kids. Needless to say the noise from early risers travels well to the upstairs loft where my wife and I were sleeping.Again, this is a wonderful home and a great value. Strongly recommend.

Family friendly house in a perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay at this Lake Almanor cabin! The interior was nicely updated and clean. Plenty of room for two families with small kids. The location absolutely makes this property! Its right across from a rec center with pickleball courts, a playground, and beach access. Will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect Location

My family and I had an amazing time at the lake house! It was very warm and inviting. The location Is spectacular being right by Rec 1, the playground and the beach. Brad was very responsive to our needs as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Wedding Weekend in Almanor

We stayed at Brad and Megan’s beautiful cabin for our wedding weekend and it was the absolute most perfect experience. The house is beautiful and in a great location, and the hosts (+ Dana) were very easy to communicate with. Almanor is a special place to us and our families and we definitely hope to stay here again! 10/10!!

Lake Almanor Adventure

Great location, close to pickleball courts and playground. The launch ramp is 1/4 mile away. The cabin’s air conditioning saved the day with temperatures above 90°! We would rent again and again and again! Thanks for an excellent family vacation.

Modern A Frame

This home is right in the thick of a resort type development. It’s right across from the recreation center, and that was perfect for my 9 year old granddaughter.

Great family house

We had an incredible time at your lake house. We mainly used it as a home base as my parents live on the lake here. We have rented many houses here since I was a kid and yours was one of the best- clean, functional, location, and all the amenities you could need. Thank you for being responsive to any needs that came up as well. We look forward to renting next summer. Thank you!

Cabin life at the lake.

It is a beautiful clean place! So close and convenient to park, lake and the Saturday night concert! It had a beautiful lawn and good size decks! The kids loved playing around the large lawn area! Only draw back, the kitchen needed to be stocked more for cooking; utensils etc. More written communication was needed. No gate key (code)access was issued.

Relax, refresh and renew!

The house is quite large and could easily sleep 8 adults, or a large group. Just my husband and I were there for a quick 3 night get away. The house has everything you need for cooking . The gas fireplace was a nice surprise and kept us warm while we watched tv the first night as it was chilly out. I liked watching the sunrise at 6:30 as it slowly lite up the tall pine trees. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading. The property is across from the pickle ball courts and the rec center. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. Good restaurants are the Red Onion, Pizza and the Unity Grill. Outside the Country Club we enjoyed the gourmet cooking at the Sandpiper and for breakfast the Blue Oxen in Westwood. Great hosts!

Three couples came for a long weekend to play pickleball, golf and boat with two other couples in another house.Pros: cute house, very clean, loved the outdoor seating, plenty of towels, plenty of eating utensils and dishes, perfect location for us - right across pickleball courts and live concert plus, walking distance from the boat dock, very responsive owners.Cons: no end table or lamps in third bedroom only overhead lighting. Only overhead lighting in living room as well. All rentals (not just this home) should provide paper towels, tissue, bath soap or body wash & plenty of tp. Do people actually travel with these items, especially if flying in? Also, it would be helpful to put the house address on the front of the house (in large font) instead of around the back in small lettering.

We stayed with a 3 year old and a 10 month old so the main consideration was location and this place was ideal. We could walk up and back from the beach multiple times a day with no need for a car. The playground was also great for the 3 year old to run and climb and play with other kids. They had lawn games for the kids and we grown ups could play bocce, horseshoes, corn hold, pickleball right across the little road. The grill and outside table were perfect for family dinners while the littles crawled/ran in the front yard. The only thing I would say is that parking directions weren’t clear to any of us. Maybe an orange cone to mark the side that isn’t ok? Other than that little glitch, it was really perfect- comfortable, relaxing, beautiful,

We had a wonderful stay at the Hellman House. The home was much bigger than I expected which was fanatic for our young family. Rec 1 is literally steps away from the house. A quick trip to the park, beach, or pickle ball courts is no problem. The HOA keeps the neighborhood in great shape and it was a relief to relax at the beach. The HOA rakes the beach in the morning and they wipe the dew off the picnic tables in the morning, wow! We were centrally located for trips to Burney Falls and Lassen. We rented a jet ski at Knotty Pine and switched out riders at Rec 1. We enjoyed local food at Îl Lago and Timber Lodge Tavern. The owner was very quick to answer my questions and handle a few hiccups at the property. I’m not sure what’s going on with the HOA gate codes, but it seems like there’s a new separate system for renters. We never got it figured out, but security was very helpful. We plan to return!
