Welcome to Southwestern Sunset, a truly unique and vibrant property that boasts bold southwestern styles and colors with much of the home's lively, hand-painted art.

Located 5 minutes from the 29 Palms JTNP entrance, this is the perfect place to unwind after a long day. If you love the outdoors from a distance, escape the desert elements by sipping cool drinks on the screened-in patio, or simply relish in breathtaking sunsets and stargazing from the comfort of the porch!

At Southwestern Sunset, you know you have a clean, comfortable and quiet place to hang your hat! The property is located only 7 minutes away from JTNP, and 5 minutes to other attractions such as Downtown 29 Palms and the Tortoise Rock Casino!

After a long day of hiking, relax on the fenced-off porch, where you can enjoy countless sunrises, sunsets, and glimpses of desert wildlife. If love the outdoors from a distance, sip your drink of choice on the screened-in patio area or kick your feet up in the home's cozy and bright living room. Enjoy the same front-row seat to the stunning desert views as the porch, all while enjoying the comfort of the cooler. Use the home's TV and firestick to catch up on your favorite show, or simply use it as white noise for a well-deserved nap.

As you continue throughout the home, the first door on the left will lead you to the warm and inviting front bedroom. We know how important it is to minimize distractions when working, so we've provided a desk in this room to serve as your dedicated workspace! The second door on the left leads to the back bedroom - a blast of bright and playful colors including teals, yellows and pinks. Both rooms boast the same ultra-comfortable memory foam mattresses, so you don't have to choose who gets the most restful sleep!

You will then happen upon the newly-renovated kitchen, complete with all the essentials. Whip up delicious meals for yourself or your family, and enjoy making memories sharing meals and playing games in the dining area. Straight down the hall, you will find the bathroom, with a massively over-sized shower, and all the basics you need such as hair dryer, towels, and toiletries.

In addition to your accommodations, we will help you become settled here and make the most of your trip. We are happy to give recommendations for fun and restful things to do, or even just where to find the cheapest groceries.

You will have access to the entire property, except for the the linen and back closets.

This property is self check-in, but we are still available to help with any questions or concerns you may have through the platform's messaging.

Quaint desert neighborhood on the quiet side of town. Beautiful view of the stars and the city lights at night. 10 minute walking distance to JTNPs Beautiful Oasis of Mara. 4 minutes to downtown shops, restaurants, and Farmers Market(Saturdays only). 7 min to JTNP 29 Palms entrance!

2 parking spaces in front of unit, 1 additional to right of mailbox. (3 in total)

Bus stop a 7 min walk away. Tops Taxi and Desert Sun Cab available.

Car or rental car highly recommended as no buses go to JTNP.

Please note the screened-in patio doubles as the home's laundry room

Please note that this is unit 1 of 2 stand-alone units. They have their own independent entrances and are private, but homes in this neighborhood tend to be a little closer together in general. Due to this, we find this area most ideal for small groups and solo travelers who plan on a quiet stay or active days exploring the park and nearby towns.

This home can be booked as a 1 bedroom, or 2 bedroom! Max Occupancy 2 per bedroom. Please reach out for details. Home is booked and priced as a 1 bedroom by default.

The home is on a septic system. Do not flush anything except for toilet paper provided. Please be kind to the drain(s) in general.

Please take care of the furnishings to avoid damage and extra charge. Please do not rearrange the furniture.

If your stay falls on trash day(Wednesday) we ask that you kindly take the trash and recycle cans out to the street for pickup

Excessive mess, unauthorized pet, or biohazard clean-up incurs extra cleaning fee

In the rare event an emergency repair is needed, you agree to allow supervised access to make the repair

Desert Pleasure

Very clean, comfortable older house which has been tastefully re-modeled and decorated. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. We enjoyed our stay there.
