La villa dell'acquedotto è una bellissima ed estremamente singolare villa costruita nel 1500 attorno alle rovine di un antico acquedotto.

Situato in una posizione spettacolare in una Hilltown alla curva del Tevere, la villa ha una splendida vista sulla campagna circostante.

• Nota: durante il soggiorno presso la villa senza auto è possibile, per sfruttare al massimo il tempo trascorso in questa bellissima parte d'Italia, si consiglia di avere un'auto per raggiungere la stazione e i siti non collegati con i mezzi pubblici.

La casa è stata recentemente completamente rinnovata per preservare l'architettura storica e renderla un rifugio lussuoso per il visitatore moderno. L'esterno, decorato nel 16 ° secolo con incisioni chiamato graffiti, è stato meticolosamente restaurato da un team di restauratori d'arte classe mondiale. L'interno è stato magnificamente aggiornato dai proprietari - due architetti specializzati in conservazione storica e design.

La casa elegante e spaziosa dispone di tre camere da letto, quattro bagni, un grande soggiorno, cucina all'avanguardia e una terrazza con giardino paesaggistico con ampie vedute panoramiche. La villa è arredata con gusto sia con mobili antichi e moderni.

La villa ben collegato è in una posizione perfetta - 3 km a una stazione ferroviaria, si può facilmente raggiungere Roma in 45 minuti, Firenze in 2 ore, e innumerevoli altre destinazioni principali facilmente.

Situato nel hilltown medievale di Orte, si può godere di un'esperienza autentica nel cuore d'Italia.

Friends cooking and celebrating together each year, we look for a home with character and great kitchen. This home has both. Plus easy access from the A1. We enjoyed our stay and visiting the nearby towns.

Beautiful Little town

Only an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Love walking up the hill to city center or Orte for coffee and dinners in the town center. The property was nice and we were amazed at the kitchen equipment. Keep in mind, the property does not have A/C system but there are floor fans in all bedrooms which were sufficient. A couple of more floor fans in the other rooms would have been helpful.Loved the place and will go back.

Spectacular historic home and wonderful hosts

The Aquaduct house is perhaps our favorite of all the many homes we have stayed in in our travels. This was our third visit to the house with our family, and it won’t be our last if we can help it. When we travel with family, we love to buy local products and cook for ourselves. The aqueduct house makes this a memorable in itself as it boasts a fullly outfitted kitchen and a choice of big beautiful eating spots. Also, the house itself is an integral part of the little hilltop town of Orte, where you can find anything you want for a beautiful Italian meal. In fact, a large large part of the pleasure of being in Orte is visiting the many small, family-run shops selling fresh pasta, local produce, beautiful cheeses, great poultry and meats, etc. And the house itself: not many places offer the opportunity to stay in a 16th century dwelling that is at the same time completely up-to-date and charming in every way. Finally, in addition to everything else, Anna and Allessandra go the extra mile to make sure that their guests have everything they need … and more. Just this morning, my daughter discovered that the taxi driver, who was supposed to pick up her and her 3 children to go to the train station, was sick and couldn’t come. Allessandra came and made two trips to get them and their luggage to the train station on time. In short, I couldn’t recommend the Aquaduct House more strongly!

Great location

I think it would be great for families, fun to stay in 15th century villa. Just did not have the comfort or amenities to make the stay more enjoyable. Our bathroom was very tiny and shower leaked outside to bathroom area. It would be shared with another room if more than 2 couples- I could not imagine that. It rained so my brother and his wife had worms and a lizard come into their room from outside, they took some packing tape to tape off the area they entered from. The great room is sparce , which would be fine however the furniture was not comfortable and had a musty smell. The historic town of Orte is very close, a nice walk and is fun to walk to, so it is a great location. The host Alessandra was very pleasant and attentive. Communication was good.

La grande bellezza

Abbiamo scelto di soggiornare in questa villa perché situata al centro della zona che volevamo visitare nei pochi giorni a disposizione, ma il suo fascino non deriva certo dalla posizione geografica! Solo in Italia può capitarti di dormire sotto un acquedotto romano in una villa del '500, splendidamente adattata alle esigenze dei nostri tempi! C'è proprio tutto per trascorrere un piacevolissimo soggiorno. Grazie alle proprietarie, molto gentili e disponibili a fornire informazioni. Torneremo!

Wonderful Place in the quiet town of Orte

Having stayed in Rome several times and thinking it has become overcrowded, we were looking for something an easy train ride into Rome. This house worked perfectly. In the quiet cliffside town of Orte, it was both easy to get to Rome but so nice to come back to at night. The views from every window are fantastic and the walk into the old center or Orte was easy. The owners communicate very well and sent one of the best pre-arrival packets I have ever received. The location makes visits to Umbria and Tuscany towns easy day tips. Plus, the kitchen in this house is nuts! The only ask I would have for the house is AC but we were quite comfortable with the fans in each room.

A stunning getaway in the Italian countryside.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the villa with my sister, her husband and seven year old twins. The villa was very comfortable for the seven of us for six nights and we had a fantastic stay. Alessandra met us at the villa and gave us a tour. She was very friendly and readily available if we had issues (we didn’t). There was a nice gift of tasty, fresh fruit and coffee waiting when we arrived. The villa itself is as expected, well-appointed with nice areas to relax and comfortable bedrooms. We cooked in the professional-grade kitchens and dined in style in the large dining room. The star area, though, is the terrace. After touring all day, we enjoyed drinking wine on the terrace in the evenings watching the sunset and stargazing. In the morning, it was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Very peaceful and beautiful. The location of the villa is also perfect. We took day trips to castles, gardens, hill towns and even as far as Pompeii and always found it easy to return to Orte for a relaxing evening. We also chose to have a local chef, Antonella, provide a meal one evening on the owner’s recommendation and that was fantastic. Antonella and her daughter brought traditional local fare and wine produced by her Grandmother. They were charming and the food was delicious. If you are looking for a place to relax while you see Italy, we can’t recommend the villa enough. Every part of our stay was pleasing and led to a wonderful time in Italy.

Beautiful, well-appointed home in charming, friendly village.

Our family of six had a lovely stay in this wonderful old house. Anna and Allessandra were perfect hosts, and the old town of Orte couldn’t have been more welcoming. Don’t miss the subterranean tour of the town—most interesting!

Beautifully Restored Villa

This villa was amazing and a perfect central location for exploring Umbria and Lazio. Very close to the train and easy access to major highways. Only wish we had been able to stay longer. We had a cooking class with Delores and everything was so delicious.

Magnificent!!!

This is by far one of the most magical places to stay. The sites, smells and tastes truly filled our hearts. Orte' is a beautiful town to walk around, the small cafe's and community feel was incredible. You really feel as though you are a part of the town. We had a wonderful guide Daniella for a day in Rome and chef Frabrizia that created a fantastic meal right in the villa. Anna & Alessandra were very welcoming and accommodating - we truly appreciated them for sharing their friends & family! Looking forward to our next visit!!

Fantanstic house in an amazing location

The house is comfortable, big and with a fantastic professional kitchen, just like in the pictures! The location offers a lot of attractions with incredible places. The owners were gentile, caring, ponctual the whole time and always there to attend our requests. The transportation to Rome is easy and it is a great place to stay. Definitely recommend it.
