Beautiful location on the river just a short walk from town. House is super clean and has a great layout for a larger family with plenty of space to hangout when you want to and chill when you don't. The outdoor space is absolutely amazing and will not disappoint. Communication with the host was very timely and concise with an open invitation for assistance in navigating the local scene. We did not have any issues during our stay, but I am confident that anything would be addressed immediately should it ever come up. This rental definitely exceeded expectations.

Quaint and clean riverside cabin. Comfortable beds and pet friendly was a plus. Hosts Gary and Jan were friendly and very helpful in suggestions for restaurants. Looking forward to staying there again.

The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The home was lovely with a great view. We really liked that we could easily walk into town because parking can be a challenge at times. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at the Tree House Cottage! We were so excited to go there . I booked a couple of months ahead of desired time. I could hardly wait to be able to stay there ! We were so happy with how nice the cottage was . It was just like the pictures on line! We loved the screen porch and our dog loved it ! We had to drag her in at night off the porch ! The views are wonderful from every angle . We definitely will go back again and highly recommend this darling cottage. Gary and Jan were great hosts .

So glad you enjoyed your stay at treehouse cottage. It does have one of the finest views of the river in the community. If you enjoy watching the boats go by or even have your own boat you can bring to put at the dock and take a little afternoon cruise it can't be beat. Come back and see us again soon.

The cottage is immaculate. You can't beat the view of the river and how relaxing it is sitting on the deck or by the water watching the boats go by. The hosts were very communicative and check-in was extremely easy. My only complaint is that towels are not provided which was okay except that we were told only that bath and beach towels were needed. However upon checking in and looking around we realized that zero towels of any kind are provided including hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen towels. I had to run to the store to buy those towels. That was not communicated with me that I would need to bring hand towels and kitchen towels. Other than that we had a fabulous time and enjoyed the property.

Mary I feel so bad that you did not communicate with me when you arrived the missing towels. Our cleaning staff normally leaves a sufficient number of kitchen towels for your use. We do not furnish any of the bathroom or beach towels but we would have been happy to bring you kitchen towels. The staff must have overlooked putting some in the kitchen drawer. I apologize. If you ever come to see us again please call me at the number I provided for you and let me know you need something . We would have been more than happy to take care of that for you.

Our family of six had a wonderful time during out stay at this charming riverfront cottage. Cleanliness was top notch and the house is so nicely decorated. The porches are large and fully furnished. The river views are amazing. We enjoyed having meals, relaxing and watching the boats go by on the screened-in porch. You can do as much or as little as you want here and have a great time. We enjoyed the short walk into the center of town, fishing, oval beach, dune rides, restaurants, shopping, miniature golf, kayaking, pontoon rides and more.Our hosts, Gary and Jan, are amazing. They are very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. We have fond memories of our time here and would love to return.

The location cannot be beat! We spent every morning and every night enjoying the river and watching boats pass from the screened in porch. Just a few minutes walk to downtown Saugatuck, we walked to dinner most nights and enjoyed the proximity especially with our small children. We appreciated the cleanliness and attention to safety at the cottage. CO monitors and motion sensor lights, etc. - several features that many rentals don’t have but help to feel safe with children. Thank you so much Jan and Gary for a wonderful week!

Great location. Owners were great to work with. Master bedroom and bathroom were great. The bedrooms and bathroom downstairs were just ok. Very nice screened porch off kitchen with great river view. Great place to play games. The house is close enough to walk to downtown Saugatuck.

Thanks for the compliments about the house we do are very best to make sure everyone is comfortable. The house is an historic home and was built a long time ago so there are parts of it that are older than others. We have done extensively remodeling to the house and the main floor has been totally redone the lower level also has had all of the bedrooms redone and it has a very large laundry space available

The property is well maintained, clean, and aesthetically pleasing albeit a little on the older side. We really enjoyed the screen in porch overlooking the river as boats floated by. Everything as far as kitchen items, entertainment, etc. was provided, but the BYOT (bring your own towels) was sightly inconvenient as they take up some space. This was very clearly communicated by the host, so we were prepared and brought our own. Gary and Jan were very kind and wished us an enjoyable stay. Would stay here again (and bring my own towels!)

I'm so glad that the guests enjoyed there's stay at the historic treehouse cottage. Original cottage was built in the 1800s along the river. There were seven of them built by a logging company when they clear cut this area after the Chicago fire. The house has been extensively remodeled and everyone loves the expansive amazing view from the large screened-in porch that overlooks the river. There is a doc available if you have a boat and a lovely seating area down in the lower yard for watching the boats go by. It is a short walk into Saugatuck from the house and provides us with a little bit of exercise that we all can use.

This home’s location can’t be beat. It’s so nice sitting on the porch and overlooking the river. It’s also very walkable to town and we only needed to use our car when we were leaving the Saugatuck area. The house was very clean and a good size for 3 adults and two children. The house had everything we need and the hosts were helpful when we needed it. One thing to be aware of is the ceiling height in a few spots. My husband is 6’4 and had to bend quite a bit on the stairs to the lower level (where two bedrooms are located) and also in the primary bedroom sitting area. Not a deal breaker by any means but maybe something to note if you are tall.

The views from The veranda screened in porch are absolutely breathtaking. Many of our guests rent a pontoon boat for small sailboat and use it at dock when the weather permits. You can travel from the dock down river out to lake Michigan for a lovely afternoon.

The Tree House Cottage is charming, quaint, very clean and exactly as described on Vrbo site. WIFI was excellent. The kitchen had any item necessary for meals if you plan to meal prep at the cottage or bring home take out. Jan and Gary are great hosts and communication with them was easy, as was the check in and check out process.We had a wonderful visit, loved watching the boats on the Kalamazoo River. The two porches were terrific for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, and the upper porch is screened which is a huge plus! The cottage is just short (15 minute) walk to downtown Saugatuck shopping, restaurants and activities. The Cottage is pet friendly and our Poodle loved her view of all the river activities and squirrel watching! A great time was had by all and we have the Tree House Cottage on our list for future trips to Saugatuck.
