Wonderful family getaway

Clean, well-appointed and thoughtfully managed, Sunrise Vista is a woodsy haven on Porters Lake — three generous bedrooms, large gathering areas including a terrific game room / football watching setup in the basement. Easy lake access with lots of toys, and a nicely designed bonfire that was terrific for late-night stargazing. Becky was a great communicator and the entire process was flawless and easy. Definitely a “10/10, would recommend!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Vista! The house had everything we could ask for and the lake was calm and quiet. We kayaked every day and talked around the fire at night. The property is woodsy but not far from town, which we loved. We went in to Wautoma for mini golf and a great supper club dinner (Silvercryst). Our four adult children and our lazy dog had a very memorable weekend and we will return!

The Sunrise Vista cabin had pretty much everything We needed for a great stay.. it was inviting ,clean & comfy inside & the lake area was peaceful & full of fun adventure :) We loved hearing & seeing the wildlife in the area. We enjoyed fishing on the dock & caught a few bass/bluegill) The fire pit with swings was a joy to use..listening to the wildlife, the gentle rain, the campfire stories to making the yummy Smores around the bonfire (with wood included) was a plus! The game room was fun.. playing board games, pool, ping pong, pacman & shuffleboard were our favorites bringing us much laughter! The coffee bar & exercise room was nice to use, The movie lounge & bar area was pleasant to use with the nice fireplace ,cozy couch & chairs with the big TV for watching movies. The beds/bedding were nice & comfortable making it a pleasant goodnight :) Becky & Eric were great Hosts & made our stay an easy & memorable one :) We hope to come back again! Thanks so much for making Sunrise Vista like home.. even better that We didn't want to leave :)

We wouldn't change a thing.

Sunrise Vista was the best place we have ever stayed. We had adults and grandkids age 5-23 yrs and everyone found plenty of space and activities. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. The lower level game room was amazing. The lakefront area was so nicely planned and furnished. There were boats of all types and sizes for everyone- and in great condition. Good fishing off the dock. The upper campfire and seating area was a wonderful gathering space for dinner and outdoor games and tournaments. The 2 grills made cooking extra easy. The hot tub was in great shape, and fun for all. The house itself was wonderfully maintained, and included many special and surprising extras. Kitchen was fully equipped for several of us who love to cook. The location is surprisingly close to town but feels isolated in the woods. The host provided instant response when contacted. We will certainly return.

We really had a good time at this home with our 3 young boys. Easy check in/out. We ended up renting the pontoon boat and using that quite a bit.

Great house, beautiful views, great host. A lake house experience that you will truly enjoy.

Our family had a great experience staying at the Sunrise Vista house. The house was great and outfitted with everything you need for a truly amazing lake house experience. Highly recommend staying here if your looking to relax and unwind at a beautiful lake house setting. Host was great to work with. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fantastic time at sunrise vista. Check-in was super easy and the place was even better than advertised. View in the mornings was amazing and access to the lake was great with all the amenities available and used. Kayaking, paddle boarding, boats. The entertainment room kept us busy in the evenings and we played games and watched movies every night. 10 out of 10!

Amazing Lake House!!

A very well maintained, clean, great location house. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need/want for your vacation. The game room was awesome for a couple of bad weather days we had.

Awesome Place!

Not many places have amazing pictures that don’t come close to doing it justice. This place was amazing for my family and a friend’s family. If you want a place to relax and unwind, this is it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the lake life.

We had an amazing stay with two families and our dogs in this thoughtfully designed, activity-filled lake house that perfectly balanced fun family time and relaxing adult moments—highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

We stayed here with two families plus our dogs, and the house could not have been more perfect. It was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly thoughtful in every detail. The kids were obsessed with the hot cocoa bar, the adults loved the adorable coffee bar, and everyone was all-in on the waffle bar. We had such great family time—playing games in the basement, hanging out together—but there was also plenty of room for the kids to entertain themselves while the adults enjoyed quiet mornings on the porch with coffee, looking out at the lake. It was truly the best of both worlds. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

A Sigh of Relief

As soon as your exit your vehicle you've entered a new world. A world that feels still and wraps you in a quiet, warm hug. The space is absolutely beautiful and more than I expected. There's so much attention to detail to create a home away from home feel. From lounging in the sunroom, having breakfast overlooking the lake, to hanging in the basement in front of the fireplace , you simply won't want to leave. Book this place fast!

Peaceful Family Lake Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation with our three adult children and their spouses, and our two toddler grandchildren. Sunrise Vista had everything we needed to keep everyone entertained. We enjoyed the lake on our boat where we took the included lily pad out to hang out and soak up the sun. The kayaks and pedal boat were also a big hit. The little ones loved playing in the sand and the rocks around the patio with their buckets and shovels. The hot tub was great in the evening and we loved the fire pit with ample seating. We used the flat top grill multiple times and enjoyed sitting at the table outside to play games. We used the bags multiple nights as well. The view of the lake is beautiful. We had great weather, otherwise we would’ve used the game room in the basement even more than we did. No need to look for something to do on a rainy day. This house has everything you need. The hosts have thought of all the little details that make this place so amazing. I forgot my toothbrush and was thrilled to find multiple toothbrushes in the package in the bathroom drawer. There is even a gym in the garage, which we used several days. Becky was a wonderful host and responded almost immediately with any questions I had before and during our stay. I highly recommend Sunrise Vista for a family vacation full of quality time and fun!

Porter Lake Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Vista on Porter’s Lake! The property was amazing big and everything inside was well thought out and organized. We enjoyed swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing off the dock! We loved hanging outside around the bonfire pit and taking in as much fresh air as we could. The cottage is spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed playing games in the basement on some rainy evening. Overall we had a great family vacation!

Great Lakefront Property

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Vista! Communication and check in/out were great. The property is remote and has direct access to the lake. We used the paddle boards and kayaks daily. We also took advantage of the pontoon rental and had fun swimming in the middle of the lake. A couple afternoons we had rain, so the adults and kids had a great time with the basement games (pool, ping pong, shuffle board, etc). Every night we ended with a bonfire! Thanks Eric and Becky for a great week!

Spring break

Beautiful location! Super friendly and helpful hosts. Very responsive even came out to fix the hot tub for us! Loved the house and all the games and activities. Really loved the sitting area out by the fire. Only tiny negative is the basement floor must not be level (just how old houses are) cause rhe pool table isn't level. A tiny thing when you have all the other pluses!!! Would definitely stay here again! We loved that they had an old school Nintendo game for us to play!!! So much fun!

Beautiful home and property

We just stayed for 5 days with our 4 kids 8 and under and had a wonderful time even with some hit or miss weather. The home and property has literally every amenity you could need. Lots of baby stuff and dog items which was super helpful and eliminated the need to pack everything. I like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked and they even had a spice rack which was wonderful. We had some rain and we were able to play board games with the kids, used the stand up paddle boards and the paddle boat. Caught quite a few bass while we were there and the kids enjoyed catching and releasing turtles lol. The home is beautiful and the owners were so thoughtful. Definitely 5 stars

Perfect start to summer!

We just left & all I can say is WOW! We just spent the week & had the most incredible time! This house is not only set up for fun outside, but has lots of things to do in case there is a rainy/chilly inside day. Our kids loved the basement so much! We had lots of good weather & soaked up the sun in the kayaks, the pontoon, the paddle boards, the hot tub & the peddle boat! Lots of amazing fishing, too! The house is set up for everything - lots of extra blankets, fully stocked kitchen, which was great considering we cooked every meal at the house, extra toiletries in case we forgot something, beach towels, etc! They really didn’t miss anything! PLUS, it’s adorable! Thank you for creating such an amazing space for people to enjoy, we can’t wait to come back!!

Peaceful getaway!

This location was perfect for our family get together. I love that there were no neighbors very close by and that I didn’t have to worry about my adult children making too much noise. There’s not a single thing that I felt we could’ve used or anyway they could make the experience any better than they did. Becky and Eric Had so many little extras that just added to the comfort of the weekend. We enjoyed the pontoon boat on the no wake lake. I think we were the only boat on the lake, it was beautiful. There were so many extra games that entertained every person of ever age. The kitchen was appropriately stocked. And big enough to feed a crowd. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with our family.
