I was very surprised at the three stars, since we moved heaven and earth to address all their needs immediately. I have found over the years that some folks don't sweat even the big stuff while others are bothered by small stuff. We do our best to please all of them, and are sad when we are not able to do so. Our home and gardens are meticulously maintained as you will read in the other reviews.

Hello Jennifer, I'm glad that you liked so much about our place. The living room furniture is exactly like the pictures on our listing, except we have replaced the sofas since the photos were taken. Our decorating style is eclectic and artistic and most of the furniture is professionally restored designer pieces that I guess are not for everyone. I think it is clear from our listing that we are far afield from the typical homogenous Cape style full of Ikea pieces and shell art. I was surprised to get two stars off in this review while all the other comments were glowing. As a Super Host I strive to make it perfect, and from your review it seems that it worked for you on every important level. We upgrade it all the time and pay attention to every detail. I leave it as my second home and everything you need is provided. Additionally, we are far above the average in decor and amenities for a dog friendly home. Since we happily allow dog visitors, one way we accomodate them is by having furniture that is not so precious as to cause panic if a doggy accident were to occur.

Hello Patricia, I'm sorry about the door locks needing adjustment for your rental. The issue was reported to me on the Saturday of your arrival and Monday was the fastest I could get my handyman over there to fix them. It is very difficult on the Cape to schedule anything on a weekend. I'm not aware of any other repairs that were or are needed. I'm glad you liked the location and if you come back I hope it is perfect for you!

Hello Hayley and thanks so much for giving us five stars, it helps. I'm so sorry about the doggy smell. We pride ourselves on being dog friendly as almost all of our visitors do bring their fur babies. In sixteen years of renting, yours is the first dog smell complaint, as we pay well over the cleaning fee you are charged every week to get it immaculately clean for the next guests. I looked into our guest list and the group before you had two dogs. However, as I said, almost everyone brings their dog. We regularly get the upholstered furniture deep cleaned every spring and fall. If you had notified us of the issue, we could have sent someone over right away to remediate it. Hello Patrice, I'm sorry you had trouble with that lock. I know it is a pain when a repair person has to be in the house for a little issue like that while you are on vacation, yet we did offer to have it taken care of right away! Also it's worth noting that while we are doing extra disinfecting now due to covid, it's not possible to do deep outdoor cleanings on railings and such on a five hour Saturday turnover. We do have a lot of nature all around us, and are glad you found some of our best Cape beaches. Have a great autumn, Martha
