Great location for a hiking trip with 6 guys in our 40's. House could use some updating but it worked for us. Communication was easy and prompt with the owners.

We were 5 adults on a hiking vacation in the Adirondacks. The house was very comfortable had much more room then we expected . Kitchen was large and fully equipped. Eric responded quickly when we had a problem . One of the nice things about the house is that all the large closets had extra beds which would be great for a few families with children . Overall we were all very happy with our experience in this house

This is a wonderful base for exploring the High Peaks region. With a lovely section of the Ausable River in the backyard, the exploration starts at your rental.

Great Stay

I really love this house. Perfect location, the hosts were great. House was fully stack with everything that we needed. I will definetely rent this property again.

Great place

Wonderful home in a great location. Very convenient and offers so much. On the river, nice amenities, very hospitable and responsive hosts, lots to do in the area, quiet, dark and quiet at night (stars!). Very low-stress rental. Highly recommended

Roman and his group (6 adults, 3 kids, 2 toddlers) were wonderful guests. They left the house nice and clean, and everyone followed all household rules, great communication. Wonderful group of people. I recommend them to other hosts and welcome them back any time.

The perfect place for a group!

Our group loved staying here. The price was right. We were equally close to downtown Lake Placid and a ton of trails to hike the high peaks. And everyone loved having the river right in the back yard! Overall, a great place and we'll return again if our group stays at the same size it was this year.

ADK trip

Very comfortable and spacious house in the heart of the high peaks region. Excellent location. The hosts thought of everything, especially the little things that can be annoying to have to find in a small town on vacation, garbage bags, detergent, dish soap etc. Highly recommend.

Great location and lots of space

Great, quiet location in Keene just off Rte. 73 and Rte 9N. Easy access to high peaks hiking in Keene. Picturesque back yard. Easy communication with host. Lots of space in the home to accommodate larger parties.

The house was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The location is perfect for hiking in the Dacks! The only thing was that it was a bit cold inside the house even we turned up the heat. I would definitely stay here again.

Xmas ski trip

Property owner and host were incredibly responsive to the needs of our large party (2 families with children), even bought sleds for the younger children. The house is spacious and warm with lots of options for group gatherings as well as areas for quiet, solo activities like reading. The view of the Ausable River from family room is magnificent. Location is easy to find and convenient for Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. Even found a charger down the road for our electric vehicle and grocery/convenient/hardware stores were readily accessible for items we'd forgotten to pack.

Everything you need and more!

We came to Lake Placid for a lacrosse tournament and stayed in Keene. It was an 15-20 min drive to the fields so it was perfect for the 3 nights that we needed. The house was so large - we didn’t use 1/2 of it. The hosts provided everything you needed and then some! They were very gracious! It was very cozy and welcoming. The kids loved playing in the river although make sure you have sneakers because it’s all rocks. There was no ac but it was cooler in the evenings so it was ok. There were fans in every room. Would recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of a city.

This is our second booking at this house. It is a great place for our church group to unwind after a week of mission construction work. There is room for everyone, and there is something for everyone. If some in our group want to bag a peak, the ADK’s best are just a couple miles away. If others just want to sit relax, the Ausable is literally just out the back door. The hosts always make sure that we are well taken care of, and we are looking forward to our next booking next year!
