Appreciated the nice bedrooms and quality mattresses, we were all able to sleep well. And we each caught a big catfish at the pond! Very quiet peaceful visit.

This was our 3rd time to stay at Hidden Gem. Properties are clean and well stocked. No contact check-in is a plus because we are usually a late arrival. The area is serene and beautiful. Highly recommend.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We really did not need to bring anything but our personal items. The grounds were so inviting and peaceful. The weather had cooled off and made our stay even better. My husband enjoyed fishing the pond and we both enjoyed just sitting on the porch. It was the best relaxation ever! Downtown shopping was nice and the farmers market was good as well.

It was very nice. The bushes needed trimmed by the door. We loved the little house. Very clean. Nice beds. It was rainy so we couldn’t out and enjoy the outside but it was pretty.

Fully enjoyed our stay!The accommodations were very nice; comfortable; and relaxing!The pond was beautiful. Great fishing!And enjoyed the sound of water fountain very much.Would definitely recommend it to others visiting the area!!

Super cute cottage and decorated very tastefully. Well stocked with soft towels, washcloths and bed linens and had ample space in bedrooms and bathrooms to unpack and spread out. House was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing weekend get-away. The boys loved fishing in the pond and had a successful catch and release day!Definitely would stay here again if we're ever in the area.

We travel to Palestine frequently for work and this was by far the best stay I’ve had. The property is beautiful and fishing after work was exactly what we needed. Host was super quick to solve a minor problem. Definitely going to be our go to from now on!

We truly enjoyed staying at Hidden Gem Cottages. It was easy, relaxing, and appealed to my husband, 2 kids (5 and 7), and my parents. Everyone had a great time and can't wait to return.

Had an awesome weekend stay with my family here in the cottage so we could go on the train ride. The day prior to check in I verified our stay with the owner and she was a delight on the phone. They have it set up to be very accommodating for guests and it’s also a very clean property. The pond was awesome fishing, the boat was fun, and fire pit was excellent for having s’mores. We were sad to leave because it was the perfect set up for a little family get away!

The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with a homey feel. It was nice to sit on the porch and hear the sounds of nature without any man-made sounds interfering. There is a 12 cup coffee maker with coffee and sugar provided, but not a Kurig.

The home was clean and VERY spacious. It was tucked away from the road with beautiful trees and a pond. There were plenty of towels, the kitchen was well stocked, and the washer and dryer were great to have. If I make another trip to the Palestine area, I would 100% book again.

Very peaceful location if you're looking for peace & quiet! House is clean and has everything you need. Good communication with host too. Bring your fishing poles and tackle if you like to fish!

Perfect Hideaway

A perfect place for a one night stay or a week. Very nicely decorated and super clean. Lots of things to do and see within a fairly short distance. Plenty of room for kids to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities.

Quiet, near our destination and will be back on our annual trip. Will probably have others take the 2nd cabin also
