My wife and I and our dog stayed here for a quick 2-night visit to the mountains. This place was great, for both humans and the dog! Everything worked well and was clean, the wrap-around porch was wonderful, and the fenced yard made it very easy to have our dog along with us. We hope to return to this house in the future and stay for longer.

We like to base the quality of the stay by how comfortable our pups were and they were spoiled. Needless to say, this was a memorable stay. The house was comfortable and the host was amazing to match. Any questions we had were answered promptly and the house is now one of our favorites.

Kelly is an excellent host, communication could not have been better. We saw Mule deer twin fawns and a doe right near the deck, the evening sky was breathtaking, double rainbows on different days, caught trout, saw a herd of elk, and antelope on our nearby travels. We did not want to leave the home, enjoyed cooking on the grill and it was nice to have our dogs happy and able to romp in the yard. We had an epic time at this mountain home.

This was a very family getaway. And out furry friends loved the hikes in the mountains and watching all the neighborhood deer grazing nearby.

Great Stay

Our stay at "Base Camp" was perfect. This pet friendly cabin is beautiful and very clean, and in the perfect location for our plans. It was easy to relax and feel at home here.

Our second perfect stay!

We recently stayed in this beautiful cabin for a second time, and we loved it just as much as our first stay. The views are wonderful, the cabin is so completely comfortable, and communication with the host is prompt. It is easy to feel right at home here. We hope to stay again in the future.

This is a beautiful cabin inside and out, very clean, quiet and relaxing. The upper deck was a great place to have morning coffee and enjoy the wonderful view. The lower deck was a great place to relax in the shade of the aspens while watching our dogs play in the fenced yard. Communication with the host couldn't have been better.

I can’t say enough about the pet friendly accommodations!! The wrap around porch is connected to a secure fenced area, so my dogs felt comfortable right away. Normally our little rescue, Gracie, doesn’t pee or poop for two days!! She did both as soon as we got there, and she was enthralled by all the scents in the yard and on our hikes. As for me, the quiet peacefulness surrounding us was exactly what I wanted. The upper deck is the best, although our timing had a lot of rain and clouds, so I was never able to star gaze like I wanted. The whole house was impeccably clean and felt like home immediately.
Nearby state forest, which we practically had to ourselves.
Gracie and Ben felt quite at home

Base Camp

We arrived at Base Camp and everything was set up nicely for us! The view from the top deck (off masters room) was breathtakingly spectacular! Watching the sunrise and sunset over the mountains was such an experience! And we got to see a mule deer grazing in the backyard one night! Host was easy to work with and answered any questions before we could even ask them. She sent a wreath of information from driving directions to where the closest grocery store was.The only drawback we had was the high altitude. We had never been to the mountains before and didn’t realize it was almost 10,000 feet above sea level, nor did we realize that our bodies weren’t made for that! We did end up leaving 2 days early as we were struggling with the high altitude. This was of NO fault to the host! If not for the high altitude, we would definitely come back again. If Kelly has other homes, we would definitely work with her again!Thank you!!!!

Our family had an amazing time staying at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, it was clear the hosts had thought of everything. The amenities truly went above and beyond our expectations. They had snacks, coffee, tea, dog treats, board games, books, and so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home.The cabin was incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The night sky was absolutely breathtaking, with some of the best stargazing we’ve ever experienced. The views during the day were just as beautiful, and the beds were extremely comfortable.One of the best parts was how easy everything was. We really only needed to bring our clothes and food because everything else was already taken care of.Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
