Madison is a genuinely spacious one-bedroom, closer to 875 square feet than the 600 most one-bedrooms give you. Full kitchen with a marble dining table, wood-burning fireplace, private deck, and the Windham Mountain lifts three minutes down the road. It is our best value for a couple or a small family who wants a full apartment rather than a hotel room.

THE SPACE
About 875 square feet: separate bedroom, open-plan living and kitchen, full bath and a private deck.

SLEEPING
Bedroom: king bed with premium linens, duvet and pillows.
Living room: leather sofa with queen pull-out.

BATHROOM
Private spa-style en-suite with rainfall shower, modern fixtures and premium toiletries.

KITCHEN AND LIVING
Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a marble dining table for proper sit-down meals. Open living area with wood-burning fireplace, Smart TV and smart speaker. Central air conditioning and heat.

YOUR PRIVATE DECK
Private deck with seating, straight off the living space. Good in ski boots, better in July.

THE ESTATE
Haüs Windham is a boutique 11-unit retreat on a private 17-acre estate in Windham, New York. Shared guest amenities include a fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights, a sauna, a screening room, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi throughout, generous free parking, and Tesla destination charging.

GOOD TO KNOW
Check-in is contactless. Your keypad code arrives ahead of arrival, so you come and go on your own schedule with no front desk to meet.
Haüs Windham is a multi-building estate reached by a shared, partly gravel driveway. Your unit is entirely private; the grounds are shared with other guests.
The fireplace is wood-burning. Firewood is not included and is easy to pick up in the village.
An adjoining room with an additional full bed and a bunk bed can sometimes be added to this suite. Message us before booking if you need the extra beds.

The tub in our room was unfortunately not working, though we were moved to another room to accommodate us. I do wish we had been informed of the issue ahead of time. Additionally, both the interior and exterior of the property felt a bit outdated. The desk and signage could use fresh paint, and there was some scattered garbage outside the area, which took away from the overall experience.

THE PROPERTY
22 private acres with on-property hiking trails, propane fire pits with Adirondack chairs, Tesla Destination Charging, and free parking. The 80 acres of protected forest behind us mean the views and the quiet are permanent.

THE SUITES
11 individually designed accommodations ranging from 250 sq ft glass mirror cabins to a 2,500 sq ft 5-bedroom chalet — the widest variety of luxury options on a single Catskills property.
