The house was perfect for our family of four. Everything was pristine clean. The area felt safe and quiet. The host was attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay from September 1st through September 10th! From the moment we arrived, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.We especially appreciated the extra amenities that were provided, including coolers, umbrellas, flashlights, and other thoughtful touches that made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.The host was absolutely wonderful and had great communication with us from the beginning of our stay all the way through the end. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and we truly felt taken care of throughout our visit.We would definitely recommend staying here and would be happy to stay again in the future. Thank you for making our vacation so comfortable and welcoming!

We truly enjoyed our stay here! It was walking distance to the beach which we loved! Staying at the Ohio house was like being in our own home, we had all the amenities we needed! Luann also checked on us daily to make sure we everything was going well and this was appreciated!

The house was beautiful and clean. The area was more local with the mountain living feel of community. The host was just a text message away and would even check in to make sure things were working well or running smoothly. If you're looking for a relaxed place to bring your family this house is the best! Amazing food and bakery options only minutes away where you can support local MA and PA businesses.

This was the second time we stayed at this property, and we absolutely love it. It was recently updated, and is very nice. The house is good, but the beach is most excellent! We love the fact that it is very quiet with a private gated community, and gated beach. There is so much to do in Puerto Rico, but this time we mostly just enjoyed the beach and the beautiful views. The host was very responsive prior to check-in, during check-in, and followed up after. The only thing we could ask for is if we were able to stay longer! We will be back again for sure. The only downside was there was a lot of seaweed this time, but that is part of the “natural” of the beach.

Great place to stay, away from the tourists. Lovely gated community with private beach. The house is exactly as listed. We felt very welcomed by Luann and all her excellent information. This is a definitely a great find!

We had such a great time staying here. Place was very clean. It was spacious. Wrap around porch is huge and has a nice breeze, we ate breakfast everyday there, was so relaxing. Short walk to beautiful private beach!! Local restaurant food was Amazing!!. Host is phenomenal !! Very attentive and communication was excellent ! Luanne really cares about her guests!!

Wonderful host and wonderful stay! Luann was so accommodating and helpful. She makes sure you have all of the information you need to have a great stay. The home is equipped with everything needed. The beach is a very short walk (literally a minute) and is beautiful and quiet. Our family of 7 enjoyed every minute of our stay and cannot wait to be back!

Great place and Host

It was nothing but a pleasure to stay at the ohio house. Great location 2 minutes from the beach not far from town to grab food and groceries And the Host Luanne was absolutely the best host ever. I will be staying again.

Ohio House

This house is great! It is close to the beach and in a very safe neighborhood. Juan and Luann are amazing hosts, they were very helpful for places to eat and things to do. The house worked well for are extended family vacation.

Hidden Gem in Playa El Cocal, Yabucoa

It was a perfect family beach getaway. It’s in a gated community, walking distance to Playa El Cocal with grocery stores/bakeries/restaurants nearby. House was just as described and Luann was very attentive, checking in on us to ask if we needed anything. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been more time….to sip on a cup of coffee on the deck that wraps around, take in all the natural beauty and starlit sky at night and listen to the waves and song of the coquis.

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and it did not disappoint! The island is beautiful, and this location was truly stunning. As a first time traveler to PR, we did not realize central AC is a rarity. The main living areas did not have AC, but did have plenty of high-speed fans. The bedrooms are equipped with AC units that kept the rooms perfectly cool for sleeping. This house was well stocked with everything you may need - coolers, Tupperware, bug spray, plenty of beach towels, a charcoal grill and much more. Our host was also very communicative. Out of all the places I have rented over the past decade, this was the most responsive and friendly host. A note for visitors with larger vehicles - The driveway and covered parking area are narrow. Our Ford Explorer was too wide to fit under the covered area and it was a bit of a squeeze on the driveway, but not impossible. We had an amazing trip and look forward to returning next year!

Our host was extremely helpful and provided multiple suggestions for dining and POI. Communication was excellent! The property was very clean, as were the linens. The beds were clean and comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen to choose from. Our favorite place to relax was outside on the Lanai enjoying the scenery and listening to the surf and coqui.The laundry was great to have to wash clothes as needed and before our return home. Previous tenants (and I'm sure the host too) had left extra items like rain ponchos, sunscreen and sun hats.The private, neighborhood beach was easily accessible and beautiful. We did multiple day trips, old San Juan, the rain forest and the ferry were easy drives from the property.I would highly recommend renting this home if you visit Puerto Rico and will definitely rent again if the opportunity arises to return to this beautiful location.

We loved our time in Puerto Rico and our stay at The Ohio House! The house is cozy, has all the things needed to just settle in and relax. It’s just a short walk to the beautiful beach – so close, you can hear the ocean waves. We enjoyed exploring the countryside and small towns in the area. Luann provided excellent directions to the property and helpful tips which made the check-in process very simple. She communicated with us regularly to ensure we were safe, sound, and having a great time. Juan was also great - very knowledgeable about the area and fun to talk with. We will definitely be back!

Ohio House in PR

This house is a must stay! The property is located in a safe, quiet area. You’re a 2 minute walk to the beach, so close you can hear the waves inside the house. We spent most nights with the windows open listening to them as we fell asleep. The beach is private and beautiful. The house is clean and just as described. The owner Luann was extremely helpful, always there to answer our questions and checking in on us periodically. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in PR!

Great stay away from busy areas

If you really want to do a ton in San Juan this may not be your ideal location as there is a lot of driving. That being said if you want a nice place to stay for a chill location this place is perfect. Ms Luann is super responsive if there are any questions or issues and the beach across the street is very pretty. I prefer a more relaxed location but we did have to drive quite a bit for activities so if that bothers you then you should probably stay closer to San Juan.

The hostess was so kind and accommodating! She check in on us periodically but was definitely not hovering. Just wanted to make sure we were taken care of.The house was absolutely perfect for our coming and going as we pleased. Its in a nice gated community so we felt very safe. There is plenty of room to spread out with 4 nice sized rooms, that all had queen sized beds in them. Each bedroom has a nice air-conditioner in them and they are quite. There is plenty of bath towels and wash rags.The kitchen is fully stocked with pans and dishes. There is even a crock pot, coffee maker, grill, counter top griddle, and there is a full size refrigerator. There is card games in the drawers in the Table. There is a washer and dryer that we were able to use. There is lots of beach towels, several large beach bags and severely coolers out on the deck and we also used for our daily outings. We had such a wonderful time in Puerto Rico. And the Ohio House was exactly what we needed!Thank you so much for the use of your home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, well taken care of and felt relax from the moment we arrived. The road leading to the home was manageable. Property is in a gated community which made us feel even more secure. The balcony had a very nice breeze. We could hear the ocean waves. It was pretty neat the subtle Ohio touches throughout the house, it felt a little bit like home. Having the laundry room inside the house was a huge plus and made our stay much more convenient. Luann, our host was incredible. From: check-in where she provided detail instructions; To: throughout our stay when she would check in on use to see if everything was going well or just to say good morning. Thank you for being attentive and sharing your home; it made our stay wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was very clean when we arrived. Our air conditioners didn’t take long to cool down in the bedrooms. It was nice to know there were beach chairs and umbrellas and coolers in the closet downstairs. The grocery store Ralph’s was very close and gave us great options for food. Overall we had 5 people in our girls group and had a great time!

The Ohio House was the perfect family getaway! Just an hour from San Juan, it was close enough to be able to enjoy what San Juan has to offer and be relatively close to the airport, but Yabucoa is far more quiet and relaxing! The beach is just across the street and perfect for spending the day swimming and resting and it’s not crowded at all. We also visited El Yunque National Forest, Guanica Dry Forest, and a bioluminescent bay, as well as a coffee tour at Hacienda Muñoz and a rum tour at Ron del Barrilito.
