This place is AMAZING! The owners have thought of everything - it’s so well supplied with everything you’ll need - and the little touches they have around the house make it feel like home. It was super clean, beds were awesome, and the communication with the owners was the best I’ve ever had - there is a book with all the information you’ll need, plus they answer texts almost immediately. The location is perfect for a quiet getaway to the uncrowded beach. Many great places to visit within an hour away. The sunsets from the deck or the fire pit were phenomenal- I wouldn’t hesitate to refer this home or stay there again - everything is new!! Just GO!! You won’t be sorry!

Cross Village Cabin

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! Beautiful views, we even saw the Northern Lights! Great hosts, beautiful decor and solitude.

Excellent experience in every way. Location and proximity to Lake Michigan was perfect. We enjoyed viewing a couple of gorgeous sunsets along with the Harvest Moon. Home was nicely decorated and very clean - met all our hopes and expectations. Would come again without hesitation!

Excellent lakeside retreat

15-40 min from larger towns but if you love seclusion, this place cannot be beaten. Essentially flawless.

Great stay on Sturgeon Bay

We had a wonderful week on Surgeon Bay. The cottage was clean and well kept. The beds were great and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. Al and Cecelia were awesome communicators and easy to work with. Wish we could have stayed an extra week!

Sturgeon Bay Chill

Wonderful cottage next to wilderness state park. Great remodeled with everything we wanted. Nice thoughtful detail throughout. Beach fantastic for restorative trip. Will be back AAA+++

Relaxing cottage on Sturgeon Bay

This cottage is very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Nice beds. The beach was amazing just a short walk from the house. Views of the night sky from the back porch were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again should we come to this area. Thank you Al and Cecelia for responding quickly to our needs.

Huge Sandy Beach

Loved staying at this one. We all had comfortable beds. Most everything seemed new. The sunsets were beautiful. The kitchen has everything you would need. We really enjoyed the state park and the miles of uncrowded beach from the house to the park. We will be back for sure. 5 stars

Lake Michigan dream

The home was very clean and homeowners communicated proactively. Amenities were far above my expectations from previous VRBO rentals. We loved being able to sit on the deck or at the beach to watch the water, make sandcastles and splash. Every part of the home is well thought out for what a family needs - including the dog. I always appreciate reviews that give proximity. Leg's Inn and Tunnel of Trees is less than 15 min away, Mackinaw City is 30 min away, Thorne Swift Nature Preserve is about 30 min away. You can't get any closer to Wilderness State Park without being in the park. Without hesitation, I would stay here again.

Best Beach on Lake Michigan!

Al and Cecilia were great hosts! Great communication and easy check in process. Listing is as described and even better in person. They have done a lovely job updating the home. Kitchen is well stocked for any cooking needs. Why go out when you have the best view! I’ve vacationed to the area since I was a child and this beach is still not known to the masses, some days we were the only ones out there. Definitely listen to the advice in the book if you bring your dog and keeping them leashed, this area is vast wilderness and lots of wildlife to catch their attention. Recommend bringing a long lead with you for beach time so your dog can enjoy swimming and the beach safely. Can’t wait to book with you all again!

Great Beach Getaway

This place was perfect for our girls’ getaway. We picked it because we stayed at a place down the road a few years ago and we love the location - right on one of the best beaches on Lake Michigan and next to a state park. This place was so much nicer than the one we rented before - the pictures and descriptions really don’t do it justice. Everything is brand new! We ate in a couple of nights and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. There were just three of us, but between the large stove/oven and the Weber grill, you could feed a dozen people easily. There’s a big dining table that seats 10, so we would definitely consider renting it again for a larger family gathering. The highlight is the beach. It’s wide with soft sand. The water is clear. You can hang out on the sand bars or go into to the deeper water. We walked south on the beach for quite a ways without seeing anyone or without coming to the end of the beach. It’s a short walk on the beach to the north to trailheads into the state park, where there are acres of trails to explore. The owners provided very comfortable new Adirondack chairs and a fire pit and wood for night time hangouts on the beach. Sunsets were gorgeous and we saw lots of stars. We even saw the Northern Lights! The beds were very comfortable and it’s a very quiet area, so we all slept well. And there’s a tankless water heater, so we had plenty of hot water for showers. The owners are very gracious and helpful.
