The house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It was close to all the activities for our family reunion. The house met all needs. Communication with the host was easy.

There were rats in the home we were giving rap traps to put down could not get a refund unless we left the premises, but we had nowhere to go. And after we checked out, they charged 250 for cleaning services.

So sorry you felt this way. The welfare of our guest is very important to us. We take prompt action to resolve a situation if any arises. Which prompted immediate action when your message came that you saw a rat, i guessed someone left the door open. We could only mitigate the situation as you did not want to end your reservation so we could get professional help in. You and your group however did not take care of the house. You smoked in the house and left multiple stained bed linens and towels. We incurred extra cost to clean and replace the items, hence the charges.

Weekend stay for baseball tournament

We stayed here for the weekend for Allstars state baseball tournament. It was so convenient to the ballfield and restaurants. Clean house, very nice neighborhood. We will definitely stay again if in that area in the future. Smooth check in process and very fast communication.

All Star Baseball

Stayed here for grandson's All Star baseball state tournament. Just as advertised, clean, plenty of beds and room, close to fast food and restaurants and 5 minutes from Choccolocco Park baseball fields. We needed to extend our stay for one day because one day of tournament was rained out and owner responded to our request late that night. What a relief since everything in the area was booked. Would definitely stay here again.

Needs a little work

We needed a place for a last minute trip due to a death in the family. We were thankful to have been able to find a place on short notice. It's not perfect but was a place to land for us while we dealt with family matters. Needs some work and better stock of linens, towels and consumables such as light bulbs, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper etc. Overall we were comfortable and thankful for a place to stay.

Nice House for a Weekend Stay, Minor Improvements Needed

We stayed here over a weekend with our family of seven. Overall, it was a good stay — the house was clean, in a great location, and the neighborhood felt safe. The hosts did provide some paper towels and toilet paper, but it wasn’t enough to last our group for the weekend. You’ll want to bring extra along with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, coffee filters, and creamer. The house could also use a little maintenance, as there were missing light bulbs and a few small issues. It worked for our trip, but with a few improvements, it could be an even better experience.

Oxford/Anniston stay

Check in time is not until 5:00 pm. I was told that the code would be sent a few minutes before check in, but had to call the host to get it after 5. The front door was stuck and very hard to open and close. The host eventually got us a usable code to enter the kitchen door using a key from a carport area lockbox which was so much easier. We had some other issues, but the host was very responsive in addressing those. The grass was high and the overgrown shrubs at the front entry made it hard to stay on the walkway. Overall, the host did check on us to see if we had any problems and quickly respond ed to our messages/calls. The house has an awesome master bedroom and other bedrooms are good size. There are only 2 mirrors in the whole house (bathrooms) so bring those with you if you have multiple women. We felt very safe at the house and in the neighborhood.

Pros: Super nice host and excellent communication • located near Anniston Sports Complex and Choccolocco Park • comfortable beds • Washer/Dryer were handy for washing ball uniforms • ample hot water Cons: House is dated and needs improvements • several mini blinds had broken slats • furniture was sparse and mismatched • window coverings and decor were substandard • couches/chair in den were covered as if for pets but not pet friendly • light bulbs were missing in bed/bathrooms (host advised that one light bulb per room was their choosing) • 7 towels total for party of five for four days • dish cloths for bath cloths (we purchased towels/wash clothes on day one) • two hospital looking beds covered in white sheets sat in formal living room • Bed in back bedroom sat down near the floor • comforter in first bedroom was soiled • no ice maker • did not meet our high standards.
