This was the perfect mountain getaway. We especially enjoyed the hiking and different wineries and breweries in the area. It’s far enough up in the mountains to be secluded and peaceful, but close enough to different cities in case you need something specific. The host was communicative and the check in and check out processes were very smooth. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a mountain getaway!

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at Spruce Creek Retreat in July. The location, the furnishings and the amenities made for a wonderful stay. The beautiful cottage itself is welcoming and tastefully decorated and furnished. The chairs on the covered porch created a relaxing place to start and end the day. The secluded setting is a peaceful space surrounded by woods and filled with amazing birdsong. The cottage had places both to relax and work. There is excellent Wi-Fi and a well equipped kitchen for serving meals and cooking. The beds were comfortable as was the living room couch! A very cozy cottage! The location is also convenient to all the area has to offer. Breweries, unique and delicious restaurants, and close to Shenandoah NP. We throughly enjoyed our stay!

The host was extremely nice and kept in touch. The cabin itself was just adorable and had everything we needed to have a great stay. I would definitely like to come back here again and I’ve also recommended it to friends and family.

Great location! Close to breweries, wineries, and of course Wintergreen. Cabin was very clean and nicely furnished. Views from the front porch were lovely. Felt very secluded. We would definitely stay there again. Host was very communicative.

Snowboard Birthday Weekend

Excellent cozy cabin to relax in after a day at Wintergreen. Cabin is very clean and conveniently located to breweries and Wintergreen. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy Cabin with Great Location

We had a great stay. The house was cozy and secluded, but still extremely convenient to hiking, shops, wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit.

While I didn’t stay for skiing, I stayed here for proximity to notable hiking trails which were very close to the property, which was also near to Wintergreen. The location was perfect for privacy, with plenty of amenities to stay on site and enjoy ourselves when you return from the hills. This was a clean, cozy space which had a lot of charm. We would gladly re-book the place were we to return to the area.

Nice property and very private. The host provided all of the necessities (bedding, towels, and most toiletries) and some snacks. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings and watching the local wildlife. I was a very relaxing and peaceful trip.
