Issues for me and my husband (seniors) stair access was a little difficult! The fridge had an alert that the filter needed changing! As a result there was no ice (in July in Texas)! The living area was comfortable and the accommodations were good for our group. Only comment about the house was my bed was a bit too soft! It was a good place to get together with family!

Closer to the beach than we thought which gave us so many convienences with the grandkids. Pool area was perfect to enjoy with everyone and outside shower was a hit!

Great stay

The property was clean and check in was easy. My only issue was the pool appeared larger in the photos of the property. This was a very relaxing trip and it was nice to spend time with friends. Definitely would stay again.

Great house!

This was a great house! Good location, very clean, comfortable beds and we loved the pool! I appreciated all the ceiling fans and well stocked kitchen too, thank you for a comfortable stay :)

This place worked out perfectly for me and the group that was staying there. Plenty of room for everyone didn't feel crowded. As for the pool/hot tub was not clean but honestly we weren't going to use it any way

Best House in Port A

I have been going to Port A for years and have stayed in multiple houses. This by far is my favorite house that I have stayed at in Port A and this will be my go to house for every Port A trip!

Great Family home!!

The house was beautiful, clean, and well maintained! We enjoyed it very much! The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked! We loved the outdoor shower for rinsing off all the sand then jumping in the pool!

Relaxing getaway!

The house was a perfect place for us to relax during our stay in Port A! It was a short drive from the beach and the covered porch downstairs offered a peaceful place to lounge by the pool or play some games. The house was very clean and the living and kitchen area was perfect for hanging out together.

The house is adorable and exactly as advertised. Owners are responsive and helpful. We had a great time and some of the group plan to go back.

Wonderful property. Very clean. Furnished beautifully. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. Would definitely recommend!

Family Get Away

Our first trip to Port Aransas was perfect. The property was nice and spacious and very conveniently located just a short distance from the beach and restaurants. The heated pool was perfect! We really appreciated the space and our communication with Jim was timely, professional and respectful. We’ll definitely be back!

2024 Loy Vacay

Great home for a family getaway with lots to do. Loved that the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals. Only drawback, pool heat component does not work and so really only of use if you go in hot months.

Beach Escape

3 generations of Central Texans completely enjoyed our stay. 9 of us were comfortable the entire stay. Rented a golf cart and short 3 min ride to beach. Close to Grocery store. Will definitely be back.

Family Weekend

I’ve stayed all over Port Aransas. The location of this house is perfect. It has a very homey atmosphere and the kitchen is well stocked. The downstairs activities between the fire pit, pool and ping pong table was all used. The house isn’t like all of these new slum lord rentals going up in Port A. It’s well built, well stocked and has very nice furnishings. I highly recommend. We will be back.

Guys Weekend

The house was nicely decorated with a very well equipped kitchen. The inside of the house was clean and ready at check-in. The grill did not appear cleaned, nor did it have a full tank of propane. The downstairs bathroom near the pool had sand all over the floor and would get extremely hot during the day. Overall we had a very nice stay! A great guys weekend with fishing and all!

Thank you Kevin! Glad you enjoyed your stay at Monte Kristeaux. Our sincerest apologies for the grill and sand. We will address the sand on the floor with our housekeeping company as that is completely not acceptable to our SWAY cleaning standards. On the grill, we will address that with our grounds keeper; grills are to be cleaned after each guest and there should be at least SOME propane to start guests out on. Refills are on guests should they need/want more if they are grilling a lot. Again, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We will address this right away! We hope you'll come back again soon and enjoy another SWAY stay!

Nice place to stay

overall we really enjoyed the stay there. Very nice, very clean. The construction next door is a little annoying but that is not your fault. If you are brining a boat there is enough room to park but if you have additional cars it may be a little difficult. We only had the boat and one car and it was manageable and my boat was 21 ft. Very close to the marina if you are a fisherman. The home is very nice with a lot of additional touches provided by AvantStay Thanks.

My family and I enjoyed the place for the most part.It was enough space for 7 of us. When we got there we were disappointed to see that the private pool was dirty and then learned that it was not working and we couldn't use it. We rented this particular place because it had a private pool and then come to find out we were not able to use it was disappointing. I was not notified in any way ahead of time about the pool not being available nor did it give that information on the website. The place was nice and clean, but there were a couple of things we contacted about. One of the covers on one of the beds had blood on it, which was quickly picked up by someone and taken care of. One of bathroom tubs had a slow drain. On the day of check out the smoke alarms went off when there was no smoke in the place. I was able to call for assistance. I do appreciate that I was able to contact someone and they were able to help when needed.

The property was great and on a quiet street. It’s in walking distance to many local restaurants and businesses. Rooms were clean, kitchen amenities were more than sufficient, and AC worked excellent. Comfortable beds. Pack the bug spray for mosquitoes- that’s for anywhere you stay in Port A.
