Camp Patasa ('Perch' in francese Cajun) è una bellissima casa sul lago per non fumatori con tutti i comfort di casa in una delle destinazioni di pesca più famose al mondo. BASS MASTERS NOMINATO A TOLEDO BEND LAGO # 1 NAZIONE PER LA PESCA BASSA! Puoi goderti i grandi spazi aperti o semplicemente alzare i piedi e rilassarti in questa casa molto spaziosa.

Ti godrai il nuovo molo e la diga, la buca per il barbecue e le sedie all'aperto. Quindi prendi il binocolo e osserva un uccellino mentre sorseggi una tazza di caffè caldo o la tua bevanda preferita.

Ovviamente non dimenticare di goderti l'incredibile pesca. Per il golfista, ci troviamo a pochi minuti dalla classe mondiale Cypress Bend Marina e Golf Resort. Viaggia qualche chilometro più avanti verso Toledo, dove puoi trovare tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno, dall'attrezzatura all'antiquariato, oltre a generi alimentari e benzina. I ristoranti servono colazione, pranzo e cena meravigliosi (deliziosi buffet di pesce e bistecche).

Questa è una spaziosa casa di 3/4 camere da letto con una grande zona giorno, cucina completamente attrezzata e due bagni. La casa principale ha tre camere da letto e un soppalco, che può ospitare otto. C'è anche una "Camera a castello" aggiuntiva che è collegata alla casa principale e può ospitare sei persone ed è disponibile a un costo aggiuntivo. In autunno e in inverno riscalda quelle notti fredde e i piedi freddi davanti al caminetto nel soggiorno. Sul posto l'area PARCHEGGIO può ospitare fino a 6 veicoli, o 3 se hanno rimorchi per barche collegati. Se il tuo gruppo ha più di questo, è necessario prendere accordi in un porto turistico locale per parcheggiare i rimorchi.

Se dovessi scegliere di avventurarti, ti aspettano molte attrazioni e cose. Natchitoches, Los Angeles, con tutta la sua bellezza storica, ospita la settimana multipla, lo spettacolo delle luci di Natale che stupirà te e le gite delle vacanze della tua famiglia. Anche la Northwestern State University si trova a Natchitoches, ma non perdetevi la storica città di Many e Fort Jesup lungo la strada. Avventurati a sud per circa 45 minuti e vedi Leesville e Fort Polk, la casa dei nostri soldati coraggiosi ed eroici. Anche Hodges Gardens, per chi ama i fiori e il bellissimo paesaggio, è a pochi minuti di distanza. A nord, guida a Zwolle e partecipa al famoso Festival di Tamales in autunno. I bambini possono anche nuotare nelle spiagge di Cypress Bend Marina e del Louisiana Visitors Center ai piedi del Pendleton Bridge, tutti a breve distanza da Camp Patasa.

Mice kicked us out

The house was spacious and fairly clean; I had to wipe out the nasty fridge before using it. We enjoyed the dock and spending time outdoors. However, there were mice that got into our food & dog food so we were forced to leave a day early. There were droppings everywhere! This was reported to the host & she apologized, arranging for the exterminator to come after we left. We asked for a refund for the unused day but have no response a week later.

Great place to relax!

The house and property were very nice! We all enjoyed our stay. We’re from the greater Houston area and Louisiana, so it was centrally located which made it convenient. Some fish were caught, but not a lot.

Our stay was great! The place was clean and had everything we needed. Very relaxing and quiet. Great get away to recharge. Property manager was quick to respond to us with any questions we had. Will definitely plan on staying there again.

Late family Christmas gathering

We are a large family that grew up with a camp at Toledo Bend and decided to celebrate Christmas this year over New Years and recreate some childhood memories and make some new traditions. Our family includes 20 people, ranging from age 6 - 70. 14 of us actually slept at the house and there was plenty of room. The house was a PERFECT size and layout for our gathering. It was warm and cozy, very clean. The indoor wood burning fireplace added to the charm. Kitchen appliances appeared to be new and the kitchen was well stocked. The long counter was perfect for all the food, and the open floor plan was great for a family of 20 to gather around. A few more towels and cozy blankets/throws would be useful. The outdoor fire pit area is large and was probably our favorite spot and the kids enjoyed fishing from the pier. The pier had lights beaming towards the water to attract fish at night and my nephew caught a pretty large catfish. The only outdoor recommendation I would make would be to update the pathway to the water, it is a little worn down and difficult to walk on. I would highly recommend this location and house for rental. Perfect for a large family or friend gathering, and perfect for children.

Family vacay

We chose toledo bend as our vacation this year and it did not disappoint. We've been several times but this was the first time staying on that end. The house was lovely, everything as advertised. Anything we needed was provided we just brought food. The kids swam right off the dock and played on the peddle boat. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing I would have brought was our pop up tent as the dock is not covered so afternoons were killer with the sun. That didn't stop us from enjoying in the slightest.

Picture perfect…including weather.

Better then the pictures. We got there a hour early but called and they told us to go in. I brought my best friend and one of his sons. Two dudes in our 60’s and a 40 year old. I said that because we all felt like children. Eagles, catching perch and catfish off the peer, geese, late night fire pit and BBQing with beautiful weather. Just awesome. I have rented over a half a dozen VRBO camps in Toledo Bend. This one was the best! The camp was clean and easy to keep clean. Thank you Mrs. Candace and Mr. Kenneth. We needed it.

Nice location, VERY friendly property manager/contact

The house is as shown in pictures. There is not internet, but there is satellite TV. It does not actually sleep more than 8 unless you rent the bunk room, which costs extra, but we did know this going into the reservation. The house was moderately/reasonably clean. There were some small things like moldy shower curtains, a dead wasp on the bed/window sills that were not enough to call the owner about but enough to notice. I had to contact the property manager when I could not get the door open (my own fault) and she was incredibly nice and helpful. When we arrived on a Saturday there was a notice from July from the local water treatment center posted on the refrigerator when we arrived saying the water was unsafe to drink so we bought all of our water until we called Monday and found out it was safe to drink. This was irritating but did not ruin the trip. The dock and cleaning station are great. Most of the kitchen/cooking utensils we needed were already there which was great. The furniture was all a little older/worn, which was not a big deal in the living room, but the beds were the same. Every single person in our group, including some young people with no history of back problems, all woke up with stiffness and back and/or hip pain everyday. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it would have been really elevated to a great trip if we could have gotten a good nights sleep and if we had known the water was potable from the start.

Disappointment but great location

1) Garbage Disposal did not work- smell and backup into disposal from dishwasher or just running water in the partially sink clogg. 2) Tub/Shower in upstairs bathroom was clogged with very slow drain. 3) TV in master bedroom did not work. Could not get to turn on and called owner but said didn’t know anything about technical issues with TV. That’s crazy owner does not know? Had Roku TV no internet? 4) In front yard entrance wires hanging down from pole dangerous 5) Not enough dishes, utensils, glasses, for 6 or more renters. 6) Only provided toilet paper sparingly-what house rental does not provide toilet paper or paper towels. 7) No dishwasher or laundry soap provided. 8) Towels were stained and low quality-need new ones plus more towels. 9) Light in laundry room did not work. We left a list on note area of these deficiency! This house needs updating and lots of work if you want to rent. The rules from the Camp are outdated and need updating. I would not recommend renting this house until repairs are made.

Entirely unsatisfactory and very disappointing for numerous reasons, a discredit to VRBO.

We truly cannot understand how so many reviews rated this favorably with 4 or even 5 stars. We can only assume other guests have very low expectations for rental properties on Toledo Bend. The dishwasher never worked ( had to hand wash dishes for our crew of 9 the entire time). Not enough utensils for more than 6 people at a time (even though advertised to accommodate 14 guests). Live roach was found in convection oven. Exposed outdoor water line broke the second day, significantly reducing water pressure inside and creating muddy mess near landing (since it wasn't repaired despite running for the last 2 days of our stay). Broken recliner. Filthy (probably 50 years old) fold-away bed upstairs. There were ugly, tasteless signs scrawled in marker on paper scraps taped above door handle and on fireplace mantle ( "Do not Lock Knob," "Fire place Logs Only"). There is an unreasonable requirement that we provide "3 mil" trash bags for the trash bin (these are not available at local grocery or convenience stores, requiring a special trip out of the way trip to a hardware store to purchase). There was broken glass on the back porch and miscellaneous items of trash strewn throughout the yard. (Our children often play outside on porches and grass barefoot. Therefore this was a serious potential health hazard to them.) Based on what we paid for our 4 night stay as compared to other rentals around the country we have stayed at, we had much higher expectations for basic functioning of appliances and cleanliness. Having conveyed in extensive detail all these concerns described above to the owner while we were still there, we would have expected some repairs and such as the broken dishwasher and busted water line to be addressed immediately since this adversely affected our experience during our four night stay. Based on falling far short of the accommodations advertised, we expected a significant refund, assuming these problems were merely honest mistakes on the part of the owner. We did receive a refund of less than 5%--far less than expected given how profound and extensive nature of our dissatisfaction was with the rental property. We definitely will not stay here again, and cannot recommend it to anyone else. We certainly would not have stayed here had we been aware of even 1/3 of the problems. We sincerely hope other potential renters benefit from our sincere attempt to provide honest oversight and that the owners remedy the defects.

It is situated on the Negreet Creek portion of Toledo Bend Lake which is known by the old-timers for being one of the best Sac-a-Lait (Crappie or White Perch) fishing areas on the lake, day or night. We have also taken many large basses and Patasas (Perch/brim) within short distances from Camp Patasa. For those who enjoy trout-line fishing, you can extend your lines between two stumps feet off the pier and land monster catfish to fry up or put in a couvillon. If you happen to land a spotted cat larger than 42 lbs, please take a picture and send it to me. Enjoy!
