Le caratteristiche includono: ampio portico schermato; pozzo del fuoco all'aperto sul patio; grande doccia esterna; pontile privato con grande zona no-wake nuotare con grande scivolo al piano superiore; fantastica vista del lago principale dalla nostra insenatura; ampio giardino paesaggistico con oltre 150 piedi di fronte lago. Caratteristiche interne: ampie zone soggiorno con tavolo da biliardo, ping pong sul portico e freccette. Rilassati sull'amaca o guarda i tuoi programmi preferiti su un grande televisore a schermo piatto. Porta la tua barca e la tua moto d'acqua e goditi un facile carico e scarico con la vicina rampa pubblica per le barche.

The Retreat at Lake Blackshear si trova a soli 15 minuti via terra o acqua. Lì potrai gustare ottimo cibo e vita notturna al Cypress Grill, o un tranquillo pasto romantico al Cordelia's. Il porto turistico offre noleggio barche e jet ski. Se ti piace il golf, gioca a uno dei due campi situati a pochi minuti di distanza. Per i cacciatori, ci sono diverse piantagioni nelle vicinanze che offrono cacce di cervo e quaglie di prima classe. Perfect house for a large group with kids

We had the most perfect stay on Lake Blackshear. The house was perfect for our familes with children. We had so much fun swimming off the dock with the slide & also enjoyed the wading pool. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Nice House and great dock.

The house was very nice and clean. I loved the lay out of the house and the views of the lake. The owner was wonderful to work with and we even contacted her during the stay for suggestions on the gnats that were outside. Apparently this is a south GA thing we were not aware of but she was quick to respond and tell us about things we could get at the local store to help. All my boys loved the games and slide on the deck.. there was enough to keep everyone entertained. If your serious about pool might want to bring your own pool sticks as there was only one that wasn’t bent or broken but worked fine sharing or for the kids. Overall great house and super quiet lake and neighborhood.

Wonderful Getaway

This was a great getaway. Great place to stay. Adults loved the stone pool and kids loved the slide. I would definitely stay again.

House was perfect for our family- very quiet neighborhood, great location. This was our second time staying at this home and hopefully won’t be the last time!

Great Family Get Away

Perfect place for our family reunion! Young and old alike enjoyed the gathering space inside and outside of the house. Pool table and ping pong were a bonus . Dock wad amazing.

Family lake fun.

This stay was our family vacation with a combined family member count of 12 people with children ranging from 3 to 13. Everyone had such a great time. We brought tons of rafts to float in the lake, everyone is big on fishing so the dock was just perfect especially for the little ones. Boy did they ever catch the fish. Enough to fry up for dinner one night. Kids, big and little, really had a blast with the slide and the little pool was used a lot by the little ones. The house was perfect. More than enough room for all of us. Kitchen and table plenty big to gather in. The pool table and ping pong table were used to the max by everyone. This trip was so relaxing for family get-together time. I believe this was my most favorite spot for our annual family vacation. Drinking my morning coffee, looking out over the calm lake, and listening to birds and squirrels and fish jumping was so relaxing every morning.

Perfect home for family weekend time!

Everything from check in details to check out details, to our stay was awesome. It was clean, fit everyone in the family without being on top of each other. Kids loved the slide and the little ones enjoyed the wading pool, perfect to just dip our feet in to cool off.

Lake Blackshear

The house was beautiful and the view of the lake was great! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook for the family. It was very spacious and had everything we needed on our stay. Everything was very clean and beds were all very comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table and of course the slide. The neighbors were also very friendly. The owners were helpful during our stay in providing instructions on how to fill the spring fed pool which we also enjoyed. Would definitely stay again!

Our best family reunion ever!

With three families including five grandkids, it is hard to find the perfect place to gather, this home is it. We put the four older grandkids in the upstairs lakeview room with the adjoining bunk room, it worked perfect. The three couples each had their own bedroom, nice. We taught the grandkids how to play ping-pong and how to play billiards, including how to bank shots. The dock with the slide really was the highlight of our time together, that slide was so much fun. The dining room sat all ten of us after we moved the game table next to the dining table, plenty of room. The kitchen had everything that was needed. We will come back again.

Three Generation Vacation

What a wonderful place for a family vacation! The three generations of our family all loved it! The owners were very nice and accommodating. The kids brought kayaks and this part of the lake was perfect for them to paddle around. We brought our boat and enough fish were caught the first two days for a fish fry! The slide was amazing for kids and adults, and the ping pong table was always in use. The house was clean and furnished very nicely and everyone wants to stay here again! I also want to add that we really enjoyed meeting the neighbors including Huey, Dewey and Ethel! Thanks to Jarrett and Glenn for having such a great place!

The best rental for kids that we have been to

As a fellow VRBO owner, I know what customers look for in a rental and this fit the bill. It was very warm and comfortable and very homey, and the amenities and lake were better than expected. We had 8 adults and 7 kids and we brought 2 boats. The kids were constantly entertained and never bored. The TV's were not even turned on once. The neighbors were friendly and nice and everything was clean and neat when we arrived. The slide on the dock was the most popular amenity. The kids played on the slide and swam in the lake slew from about 10 to 5 each day. They could not get enough of it. They also enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables. If you like to fish, this was a great spot. We caught about 30 bream and bass each morning. We also enjoyed tubing and skiing out on the lake. I can't say enough nice things about this place. We will be coming back.

We had a great time at this house we loved the pool table, ping pong table, the kids LOVED the slide. Even though it was warm we still had smores that we made on the fire pit. The memories that we made will always be remembered Thanks, The Pitts Family

Enjoyed our stay but owners are unreasonable

The property "sleeps 15" but beware that they are counting bunk beds in closets and crammed into other bedrooms. This could be a good set-up for families with little kids, but was somewhat odd for us with older and adult kids. Also, the upstairs Master shares a bathroom with another bedroom. Strangely enough, access to the bathroom is through a closet. Weird and a little awkward for our guests. There is a nice-sized deck off one of the upstairs bedrooms but there are no chairs on the deck so unless you want to rearrange the furniture, which we didn't think we should do in someone else's home, it's virtually unusable. The house lacks a sitting area large enough to comfortably accommodate more than 6-7 people so we all ended up in separate rooms. That wasn't what we had in mind for a family vacation. The kitchen is poorly equipped without a bowl large enough for a salad, much less more than one salad!, and no platters for hamburgers, steaks, etc. There was only one piece of cookware and as it was used mostly to keep the kids in mac and cheese, we were without cookware for any other use. It was quite a feat preparing a meal for our family of 9. Although we enjoyed many things about our stay at this property including the water slide, fire pit and outdoor shower, the owners chose to not return our deposit without any explanation until three weeks later when we finally heard back from them. I would think that with the issues they said they had with the condition of the property that they would have contacted us immediately. Overall, I think the property is okay but could definitely use some upgrading and better management.

Wonderful Rental for Multiple Families

We took FOUR families to this house and had 7 adults and 9 children running around. There was enough room for all those people without feeling squished into a house. The living areas were comfortable and the outside areas were great as well. The slide was a huge bonus for all the kids, all under 7 years of age. We look forward to renting it again next year.

Fun Was Had by All1

Our gathering of nine women was a great success. Though the weather was very wet the entire time we were there, it made no difference as we had plenty of things to do inside. Between the pool table and the ping pong table, there were enough distractions for everyone. Before we departed on Sunday, we had the opportunity to enjoy a few hours of sunshine and all agreed it would be a great place to come back to during the Spring or Summer when we could actually enjoy the lake.

Picture Perfect

This was our second time staying at this location with our children. We thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The home is set up ideally for families. Our children loved the pool table as well as the ping-pong table and bunk beds. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the lake from our private bedroom deck. We absolutely loved spending the afternoon on the top deck of the boathouse. Our children couldn’t get enough of the slide going from the boathouse into the lake. The view is gorgeous and it is so peaceful that we never wanted to leave. It was hard to decide between sitting on the dock or around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. We stopped by Striplings in the area and Salt Lick for some awesome steaks and cooked on the grill by the fire pit. I highly recommend this property. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful vacation

My husband, grandchildren and I had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The home was exactly as it appears in the photos. We enjoyed swimming and boating in the lake. The grandchildren enjoyed ping pong and our oldest granddaughter really enjoyed the waterslide. Thanks for helping us to have a great vacation!

Great Vacation House on Lake Blackshear!

Our group really enjoyed staying here! This was by far the best house I have stayed in on Lake Blackshear. The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The home owners were extremely helpful and accommodating, and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed (pots & pans, linens, and more). The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable too. Not only was the house fantastic, but the backyard/lake area was even better than expected! We enjoyed the screened in porch as well as the outdoor fire pit. Before our arrival, the home owners completed a large 2nd story "sun deck" too (great surprise)! The neighbors were all friendly as well and spoke very highly of the family we were renting from. I would recommend this property, and we will definitely be back next summer!

Fun at the Lake

Our family had a great time visiting Lake Blackshear! The fire pit & fireplace came in handy. The dining room and sleeping quarters accomodated our group of 12. The screened porch was a great place for our kids to hang out! I went out to the dock & fished every morning, what a view... We will recommend this to other families.

Immediately felt like home away from home

I took a large family group here, and everyone in the group was 100% happy. The house is well kept, and very comfortable. The yard and fire pit were enjoyable, and the dock was nice as well. The pool table and the ping pong table are great for cold or rainy days. We will definitely stay here again. If I had to point out anything negative, it would have to be the hot water...it's there, it just takes a really long time to warm up. Also, the tv was big, but the picture was poor...not sure if it was the tv or the cable. Regardless, we were more than satisfied with out stay!
