Regarding the sleeping arrangements, we advertise the cabin as accommodating up to 16 people based on the following: four king bedrooms for 8 guests, a queen bunk room designed to sleep 4, and 2 pullout sofas, which we typically recommend for smaller individuals or children. As for the dining area, while the main table seats 8, the kitchen island has additional seating with 4-5 barstools, which we hope provided some flexibility for your group. Our pictures are meant to accurately depict the space, and we strive to be as transparent as possible to meet our guests’ expectations. We appreciate your note about the ceiling fan in the bunk room, and we will be assessing it immediately to ensure guest safety and comfort. Parking can generally accommodate 5-6 vehicles depending on their size, and we aim to provide clear guidance on that as well.

Thank you for your stay. We always ask guests to message us only through the VRBO app so that our team is instantly alerted to anything you need during your reservation. For this stay, we did not receive any messages on the VRBO app regarding heat issues or any request for assistance. The only alert we received was a low-battery notification from our own system for the thermostat. The batteries were still working, and no further communication was sent to us through VRBO after that alert. We were not contacted in the VRBO app about any heating problem or that a local handyman was being called. If we had received a message through VRBO, as required, our maintenance team would have been dispatched immediately—just as we always do when guests reach out directly. For future guests, please message us only through the VRBO text/app system so our team can respond promptly and ensure everything is handled right away.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide every guest with an excellent experience and would like to provide additional context regarding this stay. Shortly before arrival, the property experienced an unexpected failure of the well water pump. As soon as the issue was identified, we immediately notified the guest before arrival, arranged for a licensed plumber, and offered multiple options, including the opportunity to cancel and receive a full refund if they did not wish to proceed while repairs were underway. Water service was restored the following morning at approximately 10:00 a.m., meaning the interruption lasted less than 18 hours. Because the property temporarily had no running water, our cleaning team was unable to complete the turnover until the water service was restored. Multiple cleaning crews returned promptly once water was available to complete the cleaning and service the hot tub. We also want to address the allegation of theft. The guest did not identify any missing items, no police report was filed, and after reviewing our exterior security cameras and investigating the concern, we found no evidence supporting that claim. We remained in communication with the guest throughout their stay by phone and message while coordinating repairs and responding to their concerns. Some of the remaining comments refer to minor maintenance items that were inspected after departure and either were not found to be defective or involved routine adjustments. We take all guest feedback seriously and promptly address maintenance items whenever identified. Unexpected equipment failures can occasionally occur at any property, but we believe our team’s response—prompt communication, immediate dispatch of qualified professionals, multiple accommodation options, and swift restoration of service—demonstrates our commitment to taking care of our guests.
