Welcome to The Flamingo Cottage! This charming tropical getaway boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests. Rest well in a spacious king bed, two cozy twin beds, and a convenient queen sofa sleeper.

Located just a stone's throw away from downtown Sarasota and a mere 2.9 miles from the renowned Siesta Key Beach, this cottage offers both convenience and tranquility.

For your beach days, we provide all the essentials: a beach buggy stocked with chairs, towels, and toys, along with a cooler for your refreshing drinks and snacks. Within walking distance, discover a variety of excellent dining options including Walts Fish Market, Bone Fish Grill, Conners Restaurant, and Sonnys BBQ, as well as shopping at Southgate Mall. Nearby grocery stores like Trader Joe's, Aldi's, and Publix make stocking up a breeze.

After a day of sun and sand, unwind in the inviting atmosphere of our heated salt pool, shared with just two other quaint cottages. Surrounding lush tropical landscaping creates the perfect Florida escape. Conveniently, the Siesta Trolley and The City Bus (SCAT) stop is located just 0.4 miles away at Aldi's, offering easy access to the beach without the need to drive, with ample free parking available.

Spring Break

This was our first time to Sarasota and using this rental property. We pleasantly surprised that toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, and beach towels were on hand for us to use. The cottage was very clean and conveniently located. The pool being heated was an extra treat! We were so pleased with our stay and are already planning to be back next year!

The salty life as a Texan.

The house was convenient to many beautiful beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, and other places of interest. We did have an adventure as Hurricane Idalia swept by and this was a 1st for us so we were concerned. Owners answered my questions and concerns with approaching storm and eased my fears. House stood up to winds and rain. Very cute décor and kitchen was stocked up with utensils, appliances, and we loved the pool. It helped fill in the days when we weren't able to get out due to storm. Would definitely return with more family.,

Flamingo Cottage June 2023

We really enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo Cottage. It was very clean and everything needed was provided. We only had to purchase groceries. The pool was a great addition. Kid's took full advantage of it. Plenty of beach towels included. The beds were comfortable and extra blankets and pillows provided. Very clean! Our stay was a wonderful experience!

Enjoyed this cozy house so much!

This spot is so peaceful and has so many amenities and the pics don’t do it justice. A short walk to Walgreens, Walt’s fish market, Trader Joe’s, Aldi. So many things available for the vacationer to use like a cooler, beach supplies, a cart, tons of beach towels, toys, washer and dryer. And the pool was such a glorious gift. You just don’t usually find this much for such a reasonable price. Love.

Cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in

This place was perfection! Beautiful, clean little house, with a well stocked great kitchen. Our 3 year old loved it, especially the heated salt water pool. Short drive to Siesta Key and tons of restaurants nearby. Great hosts. They even messaged us that we could check in early. Highly recommended.

Owners Ken & Donna have been visiting and living in Sarasota for the past 10 years. Upon retiring in 2015 we decided to make Sarasota our permanent home...Illinois transplants and loving it. After being self-employed for 40 years we decided it was time to find something to do after a short time of relaxation. So with Donna & Ken's love for coastal design, there combined work ethic and a need for a project we purchased the Cottage and started a much need make over.
We thought this was a great opportunity to try something new and venturesome. Working with the public was something we enjoyed and missed so we decided this was the perfect opportunity to try something new. So in March of 2017 we purchased the Cottage and started our renovations and new business venture.

The flow of this home makes it cozy and relaxed along with a private garage and no steps makes it ideal for seniors and families. So we hope you will visit and enjoy our beautiful Cottage.
