We had such a lovely stay with Mimi and Steven, they are very kind people who helped out tremendously with my family during a business trip. Accommodations were so comfortable and if you’re coming for a holiday, a lot of fun in a beautiful environment.

Relaxing and private

We enjoyed our VRBO stay and found the location ideal for our resulting adventures. The kitchen was well stocked as were all sundry needs at this carriage house. A comfortable and eclectic property with personality.

Steven was an exceptional host, and even allowed my son to hold one of his macaws. The house was great. We spend a lot of time playing pool and hanging out in the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked, and had large windows allowing you to look across a small river and watch cows grazing on the far side - very private and tranquil. We will be back for sure.

Intriguing

We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the space. The owners really have shared amazing collector items; some of significant age and others from travels and then just cool stuff!

Great place to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful staying at this place. Stephen was wonderful and very helpful. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind look no further. The property is beautiful and the house has everything you need. We will be back.

Steven is a very friendly host. Responsive to requests and questions during our stay.The two bed room were clean with comfortable beds. Lower bedroom has no door. We used a large sheet to provide privacy. Kitchen is well equipped. We made a big meal including BBQ outside. Hot tube is large and clean. There is a pool table that provided good entertainment.We had EVs. The host allowed us to charge our cars. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Thai place.

Reconnection with son after 18 months

Sprawling property with lots of eclectic fixtures. A walk around elicits one “wow” after another. The carriage house was lovely, very cozy, we used the hot tub on the deck every evening. Kitchen well equipped for most cooking, having pantry items available if needed was great. Bed on main floor very comfortable, but room was missing a door. Second bedroom upstairs lovely as well, but requires a firm resolve and a good sense of flexibility to access it via the spiral staircase. Fancy bidet toilets with heated seats were a treat! The only thing missing for March visitors was a coat rack by the front door along with a boot tray.

This stay was so unique and fun. Steven and Mimi were excellent hosts- enigmatic and entertaining whenever we bumped into them, and the tour of the property and key hand off were great. The guest house itself is vibrant and charming and full of these amazing one of a kind pieces that the hosts have collected. Everywhere you look there's a new detail - whether it's the amazing countertop from a tree that fell on the property, or the bedroom shutters that are centuries old, every corner has a story. We loved the hot tub under the canopy of the trees, and sitting by the pond in the back of the property. The morning light comes in through the trees and your morning instantly feels amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and lots of comfy lounging options inside. Our party of four came for a wedding and we already know we'll be back again.

By far the most interesting and unique place we've stayed so far!

This stay was great from start to finish. The hosts were super helpful and welcoming. The whole property is amazing. The decor is an eclectic blend of collectibles from all over the world. The unit was clean, organized and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and there was a smart TV in both bedrooms and the living room, and bidets in both bathrooms. We had our own washer and dryer to use whenever we liked and the stove, oven, microwave and fridge were all clean and worked well. We didn't use the dry sauna but it was there if we wanted to. The hot tub was clean and the private deck has a fire table, BBQ and outdoor kitchen and overlooks the neighbour's pasture with beautiful views of deer and a horse. We had access to the huge back part of the property that was original forested land with trails that provided a place to take serene strolls and would be perfect for anyone who likes to meditate in nature. It was such a treat to hear the birds and see the squirrels around the unit. The hosts were always accessible and went out of their way to make sure every part of our stay was enjoyable. They are currently working on several projects around this huge property that are sure to make the setting even more beautiful in the future. This property and its hosts definitely earned the 5 star rating we gave it.
