The house was large enough to hold our 21-guest event, which was terrific. It is a very interesting, kind of quirky house, which was fun. The dining room was big enough to seat all of us together. The host was very responsive to any messages we sent him.

The farmhouse was a spacious home with plenty of space for our large group of four families. The kitchen was equipped fairly well with the things we needed though dish towels and cutlery were lacking. The rooms had efficient window units to keep the rooms at a pleasant temperature and there were plenty of beds for all of us, however at least three of them were lumpy or sagged in the middle. The setting was lovely and the outdoor spaces were very enjoyable. The home was clean and mostly as described. There were plenty of bathrooms and necessities such as tp, however one tub was not connected to a drain pipe and was unuseable. Communication with the host was difficult as they never once responded to my messages on the VRBO platform. I once relayed a message to them and received a reply by calling VRBO directly. A few hours before check-in I had to contact VRBO to get a phone number for the host in order to receive the code for the doors. Sunny said he would reply to my questions via message in the app but did not follow through. The only message I received was one saying he would not be available over the weekend and providing me with an alternative number. AJ, on being contacted through this number did provide me with an answer to my inquiry. There is also an undisclosed camera on the front porch. We had a very nice time and would consider returning despite the difficulties in communication.

Nice weekend getaway

Overall experience was great, definitely some things that could be improved. Positives: lots of bedrooms and spaces to relax, kitchen and pantry are decently stocked. Good to knows: if you have a sensitive nose (like my wife does), the water does have sort of a sulfur smell. There are two kitchens but only the main one is fully stocked. The pet fee was a little confusing, as I had thought it was 50 per pet. But I was charged 65 for one pet initially before adding a second pet which came out to 100 total.

Private Waterfall

This property had everything you could want for a laid back family getaway. There is nothing like having your own private waterfall in your back yard to enjoy anytime you want. We enjoyed making s’mores by the huge fire pit listening to the sound of the waterfall at night. The hot tub was perfect for star gazing. The house had so many bedrooms and even a separate first floor area with its own bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. The formal dining room would be perfect for a large family dinner. There were so many porches with sitting areas all around for privacy if needed. The house was filled with history of the farm and so many antiques to admire. The game room was a hit with a separate TV and playroom for the kids to hang out. The host was always available by email, phone or txt if any questions needed to be answered. The only downside was that the property is on a main road but you would never know when you are sitting out back. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.
