Great place to stay! Rooms and beds were comfy and clean. Kitchen had everything youd need and the firepit is a great way to wind down after a long day

Cool place! Quiet and submersed in nature! We loved the fire pit, porch, and sauna. Well equipped house with plenty of sleeping space. It wasn’t the cleanest place but nothing too bad. Bonus- There was a very friendly and cute neighbor dog that visited us one of the days and enjoyed sitting on the porch with us.

Overall we had a good stay. The house is clean with modern amenities and nicely climate controlled. One important thing to note: the house is 55 minutes away from the Mammoth Cave Visitor’s Center where all of the tours depart. The listing says the house is 35 minutes which must be the outer boundary of the park, not the visitor’s center. Just budget an extra 40 minutes in the car roundtrip. Another strange thing is the Google Maps directions try to take you down a gravel road that had a chain blocking it and a private property sign. Looking at the map you can see there is a long way around to the house (all paved), but it would have been nice to know that in advance.

Great stay!

My family and I stayed here for a short spring break trip to mammoth cave. It was a great property. The house was clean, well stocked, and perfect for what we needed.

Beds were very comfortable, front porch was extremely relaxing. Just coming out of winter so the ants decided to pay a visit and could use a deep cleaning. Bedroom on the second floor had its own A/C unit which was wonderful. Plenty of firewood by the fire pit. Washer and dryer are huge. Extra leashes, doggy bags and a doggy bed if needed for the fur babies. Plenty of towels and access to vacuums and cleaning supplies. Great location to the lake,

Beautiful retreat cabin. Our only regret is not staying longer. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, AND basic spices which was a nice surprise. There are ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms and great room. If we're in the area again, we know where to stay!

Comfortable lodge in the woods

We stayed for a couple warm nights in July, but A/C was very comfortable. Nice new property with modern amenities, on a sheltered wooded property. The game table was probably our favorite part, and we were grateful to be able to bring our two dogs, too.

Great House!

This house was within an easy drive to Mammoth Cave. It was clean and the owner was very responsive and answered calls quickly. Some of our minor complaints were wish the kitchen had more cookware i.e. bigger skillet, cookie sheets. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels and linens. Thank you!

Whites Pines

Very new, modern decor and cozy. Smart tvs in every room. USB and C chargings stations on each side of bed in every room. Ceiling fans in every room. Nice outdoor fireplace setup with plenty of split wood. Large outdoor griddle. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway!

This place has it all. Great location on the lake. Beautiful house with everything you need. All the essentials and more. Our family of four plus a couple of our kids friends stayed and all had a blast. After spending a day on the lake and dinner we would hang out at the fire pit which was landscaped perfectly. Plenty of firewood. Also, Jonathan answered the few questions we had right away. Easiest rental we have ever had. Will definitely book again!

Family Meets half way

House is very nice, relatively new and clean. Neighborhood is old and many houses very old and in dis-repair. Location is very isolated so no conveniences close at all. Restaurants are at least 30 minutes away. But it all worked out for our purpose of meeting family half-way in between Chicago and Alabama.

House is cute, nicely decorated, plenty of parking. Enough towels. Inviting fire pit area, comfortable front porch. Being able to bring the dog was a true selling point for us. It is inside a “lake community” with other homes near by. Be sure to bring groceries with you as shopping is a distance. People are friendly. Things we noticed was the need for a baking sheet or sheet pan. Some of the lighting flickers giving off a “strobe” effect. Fans/lights in lower bedrooms don’t work independently from each other. Upper bathroom toilet paper roll holder is not attached to the wall very well. Just LITTLE things. I would not hesitate to book again.

I love this property! This was my 2nd stay in 14 months. The pans need replaced. They have no large skillets. That's 1 of my complaints. This visit, it was not as clean, wet towels in the dryer when we arrived. Its not dirty, baseboards and air vents need wiped doww. So its clean. Not as clean as it was during my 1st stay. Hose is responsive, helpful and friendly. I gave this 5 stars the 1st time. I am giving it 5 stars again because i trust Jonathan will address these issues promptly. The are is beautiful. Mommoth caves is a big draw to the area, please check out Hidden caverns also!! amazing also

Wonderful relaxing property

It was very clean, well decorated and had all the comforts you could want. The host was excellent, very responsive. Our check in date was 3/31 which was Easter. We found 2 bunnies, a card and easter eggs... so amazingly thoughtful. There is also a generator which is great when your about 15 mins from civilization. Great hiking in the area and right behind the house.. There were dog dishes, a gate, which was great for our dog for the porch. Dog leashes, umbrellas, fire starters for the fire pit. The supplies for smores were on the island. The cutest tiny waffle maker you ever saw too. 45 min to mammoth caves. 12 mins to public access to Nolin River Lake with incredible views. It was fantastic i am booking again for fall. If you have a more than 2-3 I would say bring 1 big frying pan. It has all the necessary equipment for everything else. The frying pans are small but of very good quality. All of the appliances were brand new and very tech savvy. HUGE washing machine and dryer. We loved it we are DEFINITELY booking this property again. GET IT!!! you will not regret it, its beautiful.

Thanksgiving get away

We had a nice three night stay in Clarkson. The White Pines Lodge was decorated nice and laid out well for the seven of us. There was plenty of space and privacy when needed. Once we were there, we truly enjoyed our stay. I am not impressed with the weeks leading up to this adventure. Communication was poor. I like to have things in place and confirmed. My payment for reservation took two tries as VRBO withdrew money and then the host? Confusing. I never could pull a contract to print. STILL can’t get the site to function properly. Although the cabin had nearly everything we needed, the kitchen cookware needs replaced. Few pots and pans. They are burnt and hard to use. We pulled up to an unsightly mess of trash. Even a cardboard box of trash at the steps of the home. These little things make a big difference upon arrival. My final thought, according to the description of this property online, one review in particular calls this a cabin on the lake. Not true. There is no lake within view. WAY closer to other homes as well. Not as secluded as we would have liked.Thank goodness the weather and the nice interior kept us inside.
