A fabulous villa for a large group. Easily accommodating 14 for our family. Definitely need a vehicle as getting around to shops, trains or access to Florence is not easy.The pool and grounds are fantastic. Surrounded by olive groves. Host and his family could not have been nicer or more responsive.The air conditioning in each room was a blessing in 35’ heat.Highly recommend!!

Great property for large families and Marco and Nico were very responsive to any needs. The pool and views from hilltop area just splendid and being able to eat outside and utilize big kitchen for family dinners and a cooking class on site was great. Wonderful quiet little gem of a town 40 mins to downtown Firenze. Few nice restaurants within walking distance too be sure to make a reservation. Would highly recommend - there were 16 of us and plenty of space and privacy

This property was lovely. Amid an olive grove and the rolling hills of Tuscan vineyards. Marco was a great host who made our stay comfortable. The view from the pool was iconic. Each apartment had it’s own personality and the main kitchen was updated and all first class.

Our family of 16, eight adults and eight children, spent a wonderful week at Villa I Leoni. The spacious accommodation, beautiful Tuscan surroundings and warm hospitality made it an ideal setting for our family holiday.The villa has ten bedrooms across six apartments, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. We used five apartments for the smaller family groups and made the largest apartment, with its exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, our gathering place for shared meals and relaxing together. Everything was thoughtfully provided, including plenty of kitchenware and towels.The spacious swimming pool, 126 m and surrounded by olive trees and sun loungers, was a highlight for both children and adults. The grounds and views across the surrounding countryside are beautiful.Two excellent restaurants are very close by. Other restaurants and the Frescobaldi estate and wine shop are just down the street.A little transport planning is worthwhile in this rural setting. The nearest supermarket is in Montespertoli, 5 km away, and our taxi from Florence cost around 100. A rental car is useful. Otherwise, private transfers generally need to be arranged in advance. We rented two cars for five days, and our host, Niccolò, also kindly helped us with transport. A special mention goes to Chiara: the meal she prepared for us together with Niccolò was superb and added something very special to our stay.We left with lovely memories of a relaxed and happy family holiday in Villa I Leoni.

We had a party of 15 and this property allowed us to be together when desired and also has separate apartments to fit our group. Very nice pool, super communicative host, and a lovely location in Tuscany. We hired a recommended local chef, Chiara, and she cooked two meals for the entire group. Great Family Vacation Spot

The layout of the property allowed us to all have some private time, while also coming together every afternoon for the beautiful swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan hills. Comfortable place for a large group.

The perfect spot for a family vacation

The Leoni Villa is the perfect spot for a family vacation. There were 14 of us from 2 years old to 65 years old and we all had a great time! The rooms are great as well as the grounds which offers lemon, plum and olive trees. The Villa also has a spectacular pool with great views. Marco the caretaker was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed.

The villa is a beautiful property with a great deal of potential. The setting is lovely, and we enjoyed our time there overall. However, there were several areas where greater attention to detail would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, the villa was not as clean as we had expected upon arrival. We also experienced a noticeable presence of ants, spiders, and mosquitoes inside several of the rooms. Routine pest control and a more thorough cleaning process would greatly improve both the comfort and safety of future guests.I would also recommend skipping the optional extra cleaning service. In our experience, it did not provide the value we expected. During our stay, we encountered several mechanical issues throughout the property. The staff was responsive and made an effort to address each concern we reported, which we appreciated. Eventually, we chose not to report additional issues because we didn’t want to continue interrupting our vacation or burdening the staff. One amenity that would have enhanced the experience would be providing pool towels, since guests are encouraged to enjoy the pool. On a very positive note, the owners helped us arrange a caterer during our stay, and that was one of the highlights of our trip. The meal and service were excellent, and we truly appreciated their assistance. With improved maintenance, attention to cleanliness, and a stronger focus on the guest experience, this villa could easily become an outstanding place to stay.

Regarding the cleanliness, we were surprised by your comments, as we have worked with the same professional cleaning company for many years and have consistently received very positive feedback from our guests, with no similar complaints. Nevertheless, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we have already contacted the cleaning company to discuss your observations and ensure our usual high standards are maintained. Concerning the pool towels, we were a little confused by your comment, as we provided you with additional towels free of charge as soon as you requested them. Regarding the mechanical issues you mentioned, we are not entirely sure what you are referring to. We responded promptly to every issue that was brought to our attention during your stay. After your departure, we carried out a thorough inspection of the property and did not find any unresolved mechanical problems. In addition, the guests who stayed immediately after you did not report any mechanical issues. As for the ants, spiders, and mosquitoes, the villa is located in the countryside, surrounded by nature. While we carry out regular pest control, it is normal for the occasional insect or spider to find its way indoors, especially during the warmer months. These are a natural part of the rural environment and are harmless. Guests who are accustomed to city living may find this different, but it is one of the characteristics of staying in a countryside property. If the presence of occasional insects is a significant concern, a more urban accommodation may be better suited to future stays. Finally, we appreciate your kind words about our staff’s responsiveness. Whenever an issue was reported, we did our best to resolve it as quickly as possible, and we are always happy to assist our guests whenever needed. We value all feedback, as it helps us continue improving, and we thank you again for your stay.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our time at the villa. There were 19 of us who stayed at the villa for a family vacation, and we never felt crowded thanks to the way the villa was divided into different bedroom zones, several with a kitchenette (in addition to the main kitchen). The pool was set within a ring of beautiful olive trees, and was in almost constant use - welcome with temperatures in the mid-90s Fahrenheit. Marco, the on-site property manager, was very helpful both with questions we had prior to arrival and when contacted during our stay. The villa was a perfect setting for a perfect week in Tuscany!

good area around the house, large rooms, nice pool. The problem is with mosquitos and a bit far from coop supermarket the way to florence is 20-30 min. Other touristic areas is more then an hour.

Upon arrival, Nicola welcomed us warmly and was always available when we needed him, either by text or in person. It was very practical to have him close by, as he lives there with his mom. His brother Marco was also available when we needed assistance. He made dinner reservations for us and even received Amazon packages on our behalf, as we were preparing for a family wedding. There is plenty of room to spread out for multiple families, as the home is split up into 6 different apartments, each with their own separate living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. The main floor has a recently renovated kitchen, which was very nice. The home is centrally located for those that want easy access to Florence, but with the tranquility of the county side. There is a winery and great restaurant all within walking distance or just a short 3 minute car ride. The town of Montespertoli is also worth spending some time in for a half day side trip. One note, we traveled during the month of April and although the days were warm, it did get cool in the evenings, and we had to put the heating on. The pool was available to us, but it’s not heated, but it was nice to sun bathe and enjoy the gorgeous Tuscan countryside views. The home is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, and the drive is breathtaking. If you’re a group of 15-20, this is a great option!

Wedding in Tuscany

This is a great place to stay with multiple families. You are all together but have your own separate space and kitchen. We stayed here with family and attended our sons wedding nearby!! There is a great restaurant that we drove to not far from the Villa that I highly recommend: Osteria Del Tempo Perso - Montespertoli FI There is a Coop about 15 min drive and 25 min to downtown Florence

Wonderful Villa and Owner

Our group of artists enjoyed very much our one week stay at this villa. All around us are beautiful views of the Tuscan hills to paint. Sergio, the owner, and his son Nicolo were so kind and wonderful in helping us with arrangements that made our stay so enjoyable. We had delicious dinners in the villa cooked by Loredana. Very nice villa conveniently located in a central area of Tuscany

Great villa with plenty of rooms to host a large group of family or friends.The villa is conveniently set up in imdependent apartments with common spaces to get together. We enjoyed the villa, the pool and the convenient location to visit Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena. And Montespertoli's wine festival ! Sergio was a great host, easy to communicate with and with answers to all our questions. Overall, great experience, we enjoyed very much our stay at Villa I Leoni and would definitely visit back.

Was a great trip to Italy. Sergio goes out of his way to accommodate you. He drove us to a local establishment grab drinks when we forgot to get beverages for our first night's dinner. he is so friendly and the location is absolutely beautiful. Contact Sergio for recommendations on transportation and cooking and you will not go wrong Great vacation, and Italy is fantastic

Autumn holiday in super Tuscany rental home

We were with a group of 16 friends, and enjoyed every second of our stay. The owner Sergio, was really helpfull with all the arrangements, and we had a real good price for 5 days. We did yoga at the pool, drank wine in the evenings under the perfect porches, and had dinner in the large living room with all 16 of us. Sergio even made a reservation at a lovely pizzeria on the day of our arrival. It was really enjoyable. Thank you so much!

Perfect property for a group of Friends

If you have a large family or group of friends travelling together, this is a perfect villa. Just outside of Florence, it provides central access to all that Tuscany has to offer. Our group used public transportation and hired transportation at reasonable costs and it all worked well. Having your own vehicle would make things easier but we were a group of seniors that were reluctant to drive ourselves. Sergio is an excellent host and looked after every need of the group.

Villa is large and broken into several apartments. 3 with 1 bedroom, 1 with 2 bedrooms and 1 with 3 bedrooms. Main floor has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It was a good layout for us since we had 15 people stay there. However, pool was not usuable until the last day due to "algae problem" and the main kitchen dishwasher wasnt functioning at all. Stairs to 2 apartments were very dark and difficult to navigate at night. Also 1 bathroom downstairs only provided cold water in the shower. Very rustic but we had a fantastic stay. About 30 min from Florence so you need a car or a driver.

Great set up for many families to enjoy with having their own areas to chill out or all together down stairs. It worked really well for us as we had 4 families staying at the one time 11 people in total but big enough for all to be together for meals ect. Very central to all of Tuscany as we did daily trips to Sienna, Luca, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano and more. The kitchen is very well equipped and the pool was always clean. The WiFi could do better as it was always dropping out. All in all very nice Villa and we will be back. Thank you so much Sergio. Peter and Abby Johnson and family.

Rustic Italian Charm

Thank you to Sergio for making our Family Vacation a trip of a lifetime. Our family of 19 from ages 2 to 76 loved our stay at Villa Montefugoni. The individual apartments made for personal space for those not wanting to be up early or stay up late to be disturbed. The large kitchen and dining made for wonderful family dinners. The outdoor space and swimming pool were used everyday and the view couldn’t have been better. Walking distance to wine bar and restaurant as well as dining at the castle made for beautiful memories. Location made day trips easy. From to Pisa to Siena and the coast to Viareggio. For those wanting to experience Italy away from the hotel life I would highly recommend Villa Montegufoni

Thanks for the nice words of appreciation and for highlighting what a guest can appreciate in the villa, but the villa you stayed in is "villa i leoni" not villa montegufoni.
