Thank you for your thoughtful review and for highlighting the beautiful location and well-stocked kitchen. For future guests, we'd like to provide a little additional context. This property is on a private well, and we include information before arrival explaining that the water is naturally high in minerals. While it does have a distinct mineral taste and odor, it is tested annually and confirmed safe for consumption. We also provide pre-arrival instructions recommending guests download or print their directions, check-in information, and door code before traveling to the property, as cell service in our mountain area can be limited. Regarding the hot tub, it was drained, cleaned, and refilled prior to your arrival, and our hot tub technician made a special trip to inspect it after your concern was reported. The mineral content of the well water can affect the appearance of the water, but the residue that developed around the waterline was the result of makeup, lotions, and other body products entering the hot tub during use. Our hot tub guidelines ask guests to shower before entering and remove makeup and lotions, as these products quickly create residue and impact water quality. We appreciate your feedback and are always happy to answer questions before or during a stay to help guests make the most of their visit.
