We had a wonderful stay at this lake house during the USSSA Southeast National Softball Championship week. It was the perfect home base for our family of five (2 adults and 3 children), offering plenty of space to relax and unwind after long days at the ball fields.The house was incredibly well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. From the kitchen supplies to the outdoor amenities, the owners truly thought of every detail. It felt like staying in a home rather than a rental, and we never found ourselves wishing for something that wasn't already provided.Our favorite part was spending our downtime on the lake. The kids loved using the kayaks and paddle boat, and it was the perfect way to recharge between games. The swim spa, hot tub, and beautiful backyard were added bonuses that made our stay even more enjoyable.The location was convenient to the softball complex while still providing a peaceful lakeside retreat. Communication with the owner was excellent, and everything from check-in to check-out was easy and stress-free.If you're looking for a place that's fully stocked, family-friendly, and offers a relaxing escape after busy days exploring Nashville or attending tournaments, we highly recommend this lake house. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful home and location. Clean and extremely comfortable beds. Well stocked on all fronts; plenty of dishes, linens, paper products and even had laundry detergent. Enjoyed watching the wildlife in the backyard. Definitely recommend this rental. It's been a slice of heaven!

Great weekend getaway!

6 adults and 3 babies stayed at this VRBO for the long Memorial Day Weekend and we had a great time! The dock on property was fantastic as we rented a boat and kept it at the VRBO overnight. The VRBO was stocked with all the necessary paper products, cleaning supplies, and kitchen needs. We’d certainly stay here again.

2023 Nashville Vacation

The location was perfect. -Right in the lake, so we were able to bring our bass boat. -Close to multiple golf courses -Close to downtown Nashville Todd was an excellent host and made our stay a great one!

Fabulous stay with excellent communication. We were able to use most of ammenities. We rented a pontoon boat and docked right at property.

Lake house vacay

My family had a fabulous getaway here at the lake house on old hickory lake! I feel like the house and property were even better than we anticipated. We really appreciated how well appointed the whole house was for our stay. Hope to visit again soon for another relaxing time on the lake.

Excellent rental

Property was just as pictured, check in and check out was super easy and smooth. Great communication with property manager! The pedal boat and kayaks that’s are made available were so much fun. Would recommend this rental to anyone and hope to rent again in the near future!

Family vacation

We had a great time at the old hickory lake house. My adult children and their family, along with the family dogs, all had the best time. The place was clean, the neighbors were friendly. We loved kayaking and using the paddle boat on the lake. The corn hole game was a hit! We brought our fishing boat and the launch was a short drive from the house. Seth was very quick to respond to all messages when I had a question. I will definitely stay here again.

Girls Weekend

The house and location are great! The house is very well stocked. Several kayaks, life vests and a corn hole game are available. I have a tritoon, so the dock was so nice to have. It is very shallow but no problem. It was cold and rainy during our stay so the fireplace was a bonus! I will be a returning guest!

Family Getaway

Four stars only because nothing is perfect. Property was clean and comfortable for a family of five. Nice touches on the inside, like cotton balls and pads in the master bath and cleaning products everywhere, make it feel like home. Just off the beaten path for a relaxing getaway while still remaining 10 minutes or less from all the creature comforts. Would stay here again, for sure.

Great place!

We had a great stay! Home was perfect for a family. We were about 25 minutes outside of the city, which was nice to get away from the craziness in town. It was an easy drive. We were there in the winter, but would love to come back in the summer. Lots of amenities and loved being on the lake. The kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms were fully stocked. Everything you need for a great vacation. Thank you, we look forward to visiting again.

Nashville Stay

We loved the location of the property. Close to Nashville but far enough away from the bustle. Quite Neighborhood. Property is as described. Many fish were caught off the dock and paddleboat. I even saw lightening bugs! We will definitely rent again.

Amazing getaway!

There were 4 of us and our dog during our 4 night stay at this rental. The vacation was just what we needed and the house was was perfect! The house was clean and spacious. We loved the bath, private balcony and walk in closet in the master bedroom. The kitchen had everything stocked that we needed for cooking. And the amenities on the property were fantastic! We enjoyed the hot tub each day. We were in town visiting family over Thanksgiving, but wish we would have had more time at the house to enjoy the fire pit, boats on the lake and more. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return one day!

Lake House for CMA FEST 2023

Everything was as described. Older house but in good shape. Plenty of room for medium sized families. Great neighborhood. Close to Kroger and shopping. A little bit of a drive to downtown Nashville but not bad about 30 minutes out. If this property was CLEAN, I would give it 4 stars. But it was almost disgusting enough for us to leave. Dead bed bugs, filthy floors!

These situations are very unfortunate for the guest and Owners alike. Had we any knowledge this guest was unhappy, we certainly would have taken action to address any concerns… but we never heard from this guest during their stay. Our rental, most certainly, does not have bed bugs. We have bi-monthly pest control treatments done and, after reading this review, we had a bed bug inspection conducted and submitted that inspection report to VRBO. But reviews are permanent and our request to remove this were declined. I cannot speak to comments about dirty floors, as I was never contacted to address the situation. At time of writing this our rental has 20 reviews, 19 are 5 Star and this one is 2 Star. We would encourage potential guests to take that into consideration. Most importantly… if any guest has any issues during their stay, please give us the opportunity to address those concerns. The Property Manager is literally on-call 24/7/365 to address guest concerns.

We lived our family vacation on the lake

We had 3 generations and our dogs for vacation and lived the house! The house and yard were as described and offered a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed coffee at the gazebo. And time relaxing in the hot tub. The girls took the kayak and pedal boat out. The yard was beautiful. The house is very well stocked with all the little things. There was a Kroger Deluxe a couple of miles away for groceries And a couple of things. Great restaurants close by. We brought our boat so we put in close by. We also rented jet skis for the family one day. This was a convenient location for our children who live

Buffalo visitors

We arrived on Wednesday with our 2 dogs and were very happy with the overall cleanliness and quality of the furniture there. Comfortable king beds and ambiance in the master with a balcony were just what we needed! The outside property was exactly as pictured. Saw deer, wild turkeys and water fowl within the week we were there! Dogs were certainly curious 😄 Janet was extremely quick to respond when there was a question. The only thing that would have made it PERFECT was a fence of some sort for part of the back yard for the dogs, but it certainly wasn’t difficult to leash them for a walk in the yard. we would stay again for sure!

Beautiful yard, lots of amenities!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house - the yard was absolutely beautiful with so many different seating areas and options to enjoy the lovely view of the water. We were in town for a hockey tournament at Volunteer park only 6 minutes away so it was perfect for us! We loved taking the tandem kayak out to explore Old Hickory Lake! The hot tub was nice for sore muscles. The home had everything we needed including a pack n play for our 8 week old. Janet was so helpful and flexible allowing us an extremely early check in and a late check out - so accommodating and very quick responses to all communication. We had absolutely no issues while we were there and will be back for the next tournament - we found our spot! Thanks, Janet for a great family vacation!
