Family and Friend Fall Getaway

House could definitely use some serious TLC. There were many areas with rotten wood, mold on exterior furniture cushions, crows nest broken hardware that wasn't letting a few windows to close that had mold on the window frames, front door couldn't open due to the door was stuck in the frame, bathrooms needed updating. We loved the location and Watercolors but will not be back to this home for the price. Will be looking for a new built home that didn't have the issues this house had.

This house was perfect for our family. It was very clean and close to the pools, beach and restaurants. I traveled with my daughter and my five grandchildren and they all loved it and had a wonderful time. We will definitely come back!

Fall beach trip

I’ve stayed in many homes in watercolor. This house, by far, was my absolute favorite one. Such a beautiful home so nicely decorated. More than plenty of room for 6 adults. Lots of nice places to read, relax and chat. I love the 4th floor tower room. Such a lovely place to have coffee awarchjng the sun rise!

Great House but needs some TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is in an mazing location and the layout was perfect for our family, but it needs some TLC. The bathrooms are outdated and the master bathroom is the worst. The bathtub is not usable...the water only drips out of the faucet so it’s impossible to fill the tub. The shower was full of mold/mildew. There was also mold/mildew on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. That being said we enjoyed our stay but I will not be renting this house again. For what we paid I expected better.

The photos taken on the day of your check-in show the bathrooms and showers in clean condition, with no evidence of mold or mildew. Additionally, no concerns regarding cleanliness were reported during your stay, and our team was not given the opportunity to address any issues in real time. Missing lightbulbs or lack of lights in some of the bedrooms. Master closet has a dresser that the drawers just fall. Lots of rugs that move and trip on. Could be updated a bit.

Set up perfectly for older kids

The house was set up perfectly for our family and friends. We have older kids in high school in college and they were all able to have their own personal space. Walking to the pool and beach was easy. The House needs to have more attention to the overall Cleaning. And there was no trash bags, paper towels, cleaning spray, or salt and pepper. Which would’ve been helpful just to get started on the first night. Overall was a perfect place for our spring break! Thanks for letting us stay. We do plan to come back!

This house is beautiful and the location is just about perfect! The tower at the top provides a gorgeous view and you can see out to the ocean. You’re a 5 minute walk to the watercolor beach club and a 10 minute walk from Seaside. There is tons to do, with multiple Watercolor clubs, the beach, shopping, and more shopping and delicious restaurants if you walk to Seaside. The bikes also provide a great mode of transportation- you can even bike to Publix (about 10 minutes). The neighborhood is well kept and the house is well kept. There’s plenty of space so that, if you’re bringing a big group, everyone can still have their space. The only downside I found is that the wifi only works on the middle floor, which is only really an issue if multiple people are trying to work. However, we worked at the kitchen table & office and had no problems. The house is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen needs restocked with utensils, pots and pans, cutting board and coffee maker. Kitchen table needs deep cleaning (place mats stick to table). Upholstery on living room furniture is badly stained and needs replaced. Parking is an issue if you have more than 1 car or a golf cart.

slightly less usable space than anticipated in summer

Minor issues were communicated via text with property management and all resolved quickly and painlessly. 4th FL needs WIFI extender. 3rd floor area with three twins was ok for sleeping for small kids only who are fine waking with the light but no bathroom and no door. Porches looked nicer in the pictures. the were darker in reality and not very comfortable without extra fans (which property management helpfully provided).

I imagine was one of the first watercolor homes built around 2000. It has been severely neglected and needs more than just TLC. It needs bathrooms remodeled, flooring redone, lighting updated. Pretty much everything. Be aware this house is NOT designer decorated. We have been staying at watercolor for over 20 years and have loved all of the southern living style homes we have rented. This home has Furniture just thrown together, outdoor furniture in the living room, and a dining table that your kids might eat on at camp... sticky, stained and gross! Very uncomfortable bed. Our family loves playing games on the balconies and patios and serving dinner together outside. There is not one single light in any of the outdoor patios. It was dark and completely unusable for us. The lighting was so antiquated, a combination of LED and regular watt bulbs throughout the house made it seem just thrown together. Lighting in the main rooms is by lamp only. There is not one can light in the whole house. The master bathroom was awful. It had a galvanized steel head coming from the ceiling and a worn out shower curtain. Again it was like I was at camp. We would normally enjoy using the outdoor shower, but this one was rusted and inoperable. It is a great location, and beautiful natural light in the kitchen and living room, those are the only positives of the house. The management company was quick to reply and very attentive, I imagine it is a challenge representing this home to vacationers.

Kitchen was well appointed and everything was exactly as pictured and described. The property management company went above and beyond to address any issues we had during our stay. My only note for families with young children is that there is no bathroom accompanying the awesome tower bunk room on the third floor,instead you need to go to the second floor--not an issue for our age group. Fantastic location and would definitely rent again!

And we loved the top sun room with the ocean views and a special place to catch sunrise and sunsets. The location is perfect. We could walk down Myatic cobalt to the beach club or cafes, it was a quick bike ride or walk to the tennis courts, we walked to Seaside. And the screened-in back porch with the gas fireplace was perfect outdoor space to relax and enjoy the outside air. We’ll definitely try to get this house again next year! The management company was responsive and easy to deal with also... overall great experience.
