Lovely stay in Bologna. The apartment was very comfortable. The bedrooms and bathroom were large and we really appreciated the air conditioners and the washing machine.Emanuela is a fabulous host and communication was so easy.We made good use of the 21 bus into town and the station (too hot to walk) but also enjoyed the local restaurants downstairs.

We felt like we were staying at our favorite aunt's house, complete with the laundry machine which allowed us to do three loads. They offered up drying racks. It could be used inside or a place to hang it out on the balcony.The mini splits were very efficient at both cooling down the unit and warming it up if needed.We walked to all of the sites we wanted to see, but didn't feel like we were staying with all the tourists. There is an excellent grocery store, a block away. It allowed for us to buy some groceries and we could have even cooked if we wanted to. They offer plenty of kitchen utensils . There is a bus stop right at the end of the building. It was 2.75 EU to old town, but we walked everywhere.Emanuella and Andrea were very helpful in getting us settled in and also helped arrange a taxi for 5:30 am. Uber was going to charge us 80 EU! The taxi was about 30 EU.We would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment! From our very first communication, the delightful host made us feel completely at home. The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for with great pride. Emanuela not only provided a warm welcome but also shared a thoughtful binder filled with excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing in Bologna, which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. The location was also perfect—just a short walk to public transportation and grocery store. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Bologna!

This is the best experience we have ever had at a vrbo! Emanuella allowed us to check in 4 hours early, ordered taxis for our return and even brought us our Amazon replacement luggage at 10pm! What lovely people and a perfect apartment for our wonderful visit in Bologna!!

Bologna as a centre for touring local area

We used Bologna as a centre to a weeks touring around this part of Italy. The apartment is about 10 mins walk to the railway station which allowed us easy travel to Modena, Ravenna, Florence, Venice, Ferrante. Central Bologna itself was also within an easy walk. Our hosts were lovely and our stay was really enjoyable.

Very nice apartment and host

The apartment is very nice and only 15 minutes away from the old town of Bologna. Emiliana and her family are very friendly and really willing to help whenever needed. She even organized the taxi to the airport! It was a perfect stay! 😁

Great stay in Bologna!

We wanted a quiet apartment in a good neighborhood at a reasonable price. There is an AC Marriott nearby we considered that cost a little more, but I’m so glad we chose this flat. It’s nice having more room and your own place to call home when you are traveling. Emanuela is a fantastic host, she was on time with everything and checked in on us during our stay and quickly answered a question I had about parking. The coffee shop on the corner was good. We walked into town every day (20 minutes or so) and enjoyed our stay in Bologna! Grazie Emanuela!

Al Tellino

We arrived to the warmest welcome from Antonio's wonderful parent's. The apartment is so well equipped. There is everything you need. It is close to some wonderful restaurants. Town is a short walk. We have travelled through Italy for seven weeks now and this apartment is 10/10. It was spotless, clean, sound proof and a great location. We wish Antonio and his parents all the best. Awesome place. The best so far.

Fun in Bologna

We echo the comments from many other reviewers. Antonio and his family are very gracious hosts. The apartment is very modern and big. Everything is new. Proximity to the train station is very helpful. Parking nearby was easy and cheap. We would choose this location again rather than directly inside the city center if you plan on having a car. Local shops and restaurants are great, especially the Chinese/Thai/Japanese restaurant in the building next door.

Wonderful time in Bologna.

When we arrived at the apartment Antonio's parents were there to great us. They spoke very little English however this was not an issue. They called Antonio and he walked us through everything. If we were unsure on how to operate something there were English instructions. The location of the apartment was great. Walking distance to the historical center of Bologna, the train station and two grocery stores. There are coffee shops, restaurants in the complex and a MacDonald within walking distance. We ate out in the historical area most nights. The food was fantastic! My only issue was on some evenings the neighbors could be loud but quiet after midnight every night. The apartment was exactly like the pictures, very clean and well supplied. We would highly recommend this rental property.

Good Location

This was a great property as we like to walk and find new things. Some things to mention: Parking is easy in front of the building. You have to pay (not much) Monday - Saturday between 8am and 6pm but if you don't want to get up early in the morning by 8am to pay the meter, after 6pm the night before, we paid and it just automatically went to the next day beginning at 8am, so just do that and it will cover you to the next morning for whatever time you have it scheduled to end. Second, the main attraction area over the bridge seems far, but it's not. We drove the first day and that was a mistake because there is no place to park. Once we walked, we did almost every day. There are a few places to eat like Chinese food, sushi, a burger restaurant, and a Gyro place. Super easy and good food. Other than those tips, I will say, this is a great location for walkers and if you don't mind a smaller cozier place to stay. The check in was great and the host was super friendly! I would recommend.

Clean apartment in perfect location

Emanuela and her family are very kind and helpful. The apartment is well equiped. Especially the kitchen provides everything you need for cooking. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The old centre of Bologna is in walking distance (~20 min) and the railway station can be reached either by foot in about 10 minutes or by using the bus which stops a few meters from the house. The only minor downside of the apartment is the fact that the walls are even for italian conditions paperthin. You can definately hear your neighbors. If you are sensitive to noise you should use the smaller bedroom which faces to the inner court. We were satisfied with the apartment and have enjoyed our stay. If we are going to visit Bologna in future we will book it again.

Very good

We had a great time in this apartment - two adults, two small children (1 and 4). There is no living room, but the space was very adequate, the children still had plenty of room to play. The sleeping area is separated from the kitchen and living space by a door, which means it is quieter for someone resting in the bedrooms. The playground is just across the building, and there's a greengrocer's, as well as Lidl. Of all the places of this sort we have stayed in - and we've stayed in lots around Europe - this was the best equipped ever. It was very nice that Antonio provided things like salt, sugar, olive oil, etc. He also provided the soaps we needed for clothes and the dishwasher - we've always had to buy these in previous places. Antonio is a very helpful host. We totally recommend this apartment and we'll certainly come back, if in Bologna or northern Italy again. It's very easy to get to places. We had lovely food everywhere we went, but the one we liked best is called Trattoria Baraldi, in Via del Pratello, 40. The food was amazing, while traditional, and they actually put some care into their vegetarian dishes, so they were as special as the meat ones. Concerning restaurants, a lot of them do not open for dinner before 19:30. Also, if you're travelling with small children, the Parco Montagnola has a very nice playground, mostly in the shade.

Could NOT be better!!

We cannot speak highly enough about this property, which we chose for a monthlong stay in Italy and used Bologna as a base for side trips around the area as well as the quick direct flights to Sicily. I am a host myself here in the USA, and we have pretty high standards, and the standards one needs for a monthlong stay (we had to work from Italy so great net speed and various other things that are normally optional were crucial.) Manu and Andrea hit on all cylinders. We ALWAYS bring our own beddings and pillows because you never know what you're going into, and theirs were excellent. I have a car accident injury and the mattresses were SUPERB, the speed of the internet FANTASTIC, the place is maintained beautifully. The view from the second balcony overlooking the street is actually stunning. All the appliances were in excellent working condition. We communicated via WhatsApp and they were always immediately responsive but mostly it was questions about where to find an odd item as Italy is just different in terms of what they sell where, etc. The small washing machine worked beautifully (we'd never used one before) and, being Americans, we opted not to hang things to dry but there was a launderette on the corner and there was ALWAYS easy quick access to dryers. We'd hang out at the cafe across the street or get a piadina, and we became very much part of the neighborhood while we were there. Bologna is thus far fairly untouched by tourism so it was a wonderful place to immerse ourselves in Italy with quick easy access to anywhere in Emilia-Romana, Venice, Milano, or Firenze. If we went back we wouldn't THINK of going anywhere else.

Al Tortellino is perfect for a family of 4!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Al Tortellino in February 2017 when we were in Bologna on a family vacation. The apartment was perfect for my husband, two children (7 and 4) and me, and we had an absolutely wonderful time in Bologna and surrounds during our 7 days. The apartment appears to be somewhat far outside the city center, but it was a very easy and pleasant 15-20 minute walk each morning. It was also very close - only a 10-15 minute walk - to the train station, which was perfect for us because we took day trips to Venice, Florence, and Ferrara. The owners of the apartment, Emanuela and her husband Andrea, were unbelievably accommodating and helpful from the second we booked the apartment. We communicated via WhatsApp and they answered plenty of questions for us in advance of our arrival, as well as gave us some great information when we arrived. They were always available to help and they even stocked our apartment with (gluten-free!) necessities like coffee, pasta, milk, juice, and cookies. Everything else we needed was just down the street at the LIDL grocery store. We originally booked the apartment because it had a free garage space for a small car, but we opted instead to just take a taxi from the airport and trains to and from our day trips, which was actually perfect. The train system in Italy is fantastic and not too expensive (if booked in advance) and we had a wonderful time exploring this area of Italy. I have been all over Italy but this was my first time in Bologna, and I would highly recommend it to anybody! It is a lovely, untouristed city with AMAZING food and kind people. We had a wonderful experience and would return in an instant - but only if we can stay at Al Tortellino! Important details that make the apartment really great: very comfortable beds, well-heated, great fast wi-fi, lovely little balcony, fully-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher!), large bathroom with a washing machine (they also supply dishwashing tabs and laundry detergent - so fantastic!), very secure building, elevator, and an amazing gluten-free pizza restaurant just minutes away (La Pantera Rosa!). The only detraction was a lot of noise coming from other apartments in the evening that can be heard from the master bedroom, but it died down in time for bedtime so it really wasn't an issue. We also use white noise apps on our ipads so that helped. Thank you Emanuela and Andrea! We had a wonderful visit and hope to return again!

The Best in Bologna

Il appartamento è meravigloso....ampio, luminoso ,bene decorato molto bene atrezzato, in un posto vicino a supermecato, fermata dell autobus, con aria condizionata per tutto parte, ....mi sentivo a casa mia....i proprietari Emanuela , suo marito e bell baby, gentilissimi, ha fornito tutto le informazioni utili....per vacanze, ferie o negozio questo è perfetto. vi consiglio a tutti....The Best

Molto accogliente!

Ho trascorso qui con la mia ragazza e un'altra coppia il capodanno,abbiamo soggiornato dal 30-12-15 al 03-01-16. (4 persone) L'appartamento si trova al Terzo piano,vi è l'ascensore,non preoccupatevi :) ha due terrazze,una che da sul parcheggio sottostante al palazzo,e l'altra da sui garage (si l'appartamento è fornito di garage,ci sta una piccola utilitaria es: opel corsa). All'arrivo siamo stati accolti da Andrea il propietario,molto cordiale e disponibile,ci ha accolto con un panettone ed una bottiglia di spumante. Un pensiero molto gradito,dato il periodo. :) L'appartamento si trova a 20 min a piedi dal centro di Bologna,ma è molto ben servito dai mezzi pubblici (noi ci siamo spostati sempre a piedi). Ben servito anche da due supermercati, neanche 1 min a piedi. Unica osservazione,che non di pende dal propietario, sono i vicini del piano di sopra un pò casinisti, per il resto consiglio l'appartamento. Grazie mille dell'ospitalità! Comodo e Versatile

appartamento veramente comodo e versatile; vi ho soggiornato per motivi di lavoro dal 3 al 21 dicembre. si trova in una zona molto comoda da raggiungere, fondamentale per me essendo in città per lavoro, e altrettanto comoda per raggiungere a piedi il centro della città; occasione sfruttata nei giorni non lavorativi. l'appartamento oltre ai servizi esterni è molto curato anche al suo interno con 2 ampie camere da letto e una bella cucina. sicuramente vi ritornerò sia per lavoro che per piacere

FANTASTICA!

Una casa fantastica! Eravamo in 2 e abbiamo soggiornato solo 2 notti, ma ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio grazie soprattutto alla calorosa accoglienza riservataci da Emanuela e sua suocera: un kit di benvenuto per la colazione e tanti "extra" nella dispensa (come acqua, bibite, pasta, sughi, spezie, etc.). In casa è presente ogni tipo di elettrodomestico (dal lettore dvd alla stampante), e la cucina ha tutte le utilities necessarie a far sentire una donna come se fosse nella sua cucina (pentole e tegami in abbondanza, 2 servizi di piatti, ogni accessorio o utensile di cui si ha bisogno). Doccia meravigliosa e letto comodissimo! L'appartamento è ben collegato con stazione (solo 3 fermate di autobus da prendere sotto casa appena voltato l'angolo) e centro città; nei dintorni vi sono supermercati, e ristoranti di ogni genere. Senz'altro consiglierei di soggiornare in questa casa e sicuramente ci ritornerò qualora se ne verificasse la possibilità: PIENAMENTE SODDISFATTA!

Confort e cortesia

La nostra breve vacanza a Bologna e' cominciata nel migliore dei modi, con una accoglienza gentile e cordiale che ci ha subito fatti sentire a nostro agio. L'appartamento e' accogliente, spazioso, tranquillo, molto pulito, ben attrezzato, dotato un gustoso "kit di sopravvivenza" anche se nei dintorni e' facilissimo raggiungere anche a piedi negozi vari e supermercati. Nonostante avessimo un'ingombrante auto familiare, abbiamo potuto utilizzare il pratico garage e utilizzare l'autobus che ferma proprio sotto casa. Una sistemazione proprio da consigliare!!!

Appartamento Bologna al Tortellino

L'appartamento è perfettamente corrispondente alla descrizione e alle foto dell'inserzione. Accoglienza calorosa dalla parte del proprietario con assaggio di prodotti tipici. Vari tipi di bevande e cibo era gia a nostra disposizione. Pulizia impeccabile, vasta scelta di elettrodomestici perfettamante funzionanti, biancheria per la casa in abbondanza. Consigliabile sia a coppie che a famiglie, pochi passi dalla fiera, il centro facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi. 3 supermercati e vari ristorani e pizzerie vicinissimi. Appartamento tranquillo e sicuro. Citta bellissima, fiera interessante (Mororshow), mercatini di Natale deliziosi.

L’hôtesse et les commodités de l’appartement étaient tout à fait géniales. Par contre, l’appartement n’est pas vraiment bien situé, mais on peut très bien y passer quelques jours à l’aise.
