Hop House is a calm home that comfortably sleeps 8. Walkable to downtown Kent!

Enjoy your stay in this well-appointed 1,400 SF historic home next door to Bell Tower Brewing Co., walkable to downtown Kent, the river hike and bike trail and a short drive to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This home has a bedroom and full bath on the first floor and three bedrooms and full bath on the second floor. It is ideal for families, friend groups and couples.

Other things to note
Due to a local requirement you must sign a lease agreement. It will be customized to your reservation days. This will be handled upon arrival.

Also due to local requirements, you must certify that no more than 5 unrelated guests will be staying at the property. The house sleeps up to 8 and that maximum is for families and relatives only. Friend groups are limited to 5 guests.

There is a strict no-smoking or vaping policy. A fee of $250 will be assessed if a guest smokes on property.

Great location walking distance to downtown Kent, restaurants, river trail, etc. Comfortable property with character and nice layout. Kitchen was really cute complete with multiple coffee making options including authentic pour over kettle. Micro location isn’t great—exterior is a bit tired and it’s basically in the parking lot of the restaurant next door. Front porch could use a power wash and yard some attention.

We stayed for 5 nights. The owner was amazingly responsive to our small questions. The house was perfect in all the ways: comfort, location, conveniences, games/puzzles/toys for kids, seating for all 8 of us, lively yard and front porch, all kinds of fun board games. Cute, comfy house in a good location

We came to town to have Thanksgiving with local family. The house was in a good location and had everything we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving meal- including an apron! Many restaurants close by and a quick walk across the parking lot to Bell Tower Brewing. Would definitely stay here again.

Girls Hockey Weekend

We had a great stay at the Hop House! The house was clean and exactly as described, providing everything we could possibly need during our stay. The house was comfortable and charming, and in a great location with Bell Tower Brewery right next door. We came for KSU hockey and this was the perfect location! Would highly recommend.

This is an absolute gem in Kent. Loved everything about it. The owner was absolutely the easiest to work with and the property is cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is also well stocked! :)

Nice residence that has beautiful kitchen.

Six in the family that stayed. Nicely decorated house that has a great selection of games and beautiful kitchen. Enough room for all of us. Excellent restaurant next to the house, called Bell Tower Brewing, so good we ate their twice. Would stay there again.

Wonderful house

This property is the best. We loved having the brewery next door and spent most of the time on the front porch. This house is so cute-we loved how it was decorated. It was so clean and provided everything we needed. We were there for a family reunion and may have to rent this house again for next year.

This might be the best VRBO rental we've ever had! The house was so cute and well-appointed for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed and the appliances and organization of the kitchen was excellent. I did wish there was a curtain or Roman shade on the kitchen window near the refrigerator for some privacy at night.The beds were comfortable and the rooms each were prepared for guests with a rack of towels, washcloths and hand towel. The shower was fabulous and the hot water was plentiful. We had to figure out the thermostat, but thankfully someone in our group was tech-savvy and could figure it out easily! Nightlights and automatic lights on the stairway made the home feel extra safe. Our only regret regarding the Hop House is that our son is graduating and we will no longer be making trips to Kent, Ohio. What a special home!

Great place to stay!

This property is amazing! Well thought out, and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room, and the host thought of everything from bathroom essentials and first aid kits to games and information on local attractions. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is right next door to Bell Tower Brewery. I would definitely recommend checking that out! We really enjoyed our stay at The Hop House!
