We are less than 1 hour from San Antonio and only 20 minutes from Fredericksburg, Texas's wine country! Enjoy the quite town of Comfort and visit antique shops, restaurants, and festivals throughout the year. You'll be in the Texas Hill Country near parks, rivers, and history.

Owners anticipated what a family might want and need

We travelled to the property for the solar eclipse, and the owners went above and beyond with a little snack pack of outer-space-themed treats. They did a good job of anticipating that a family who intended to cook would need things like salt, sugar, and dishwashing detergent. The game room was packed with games for the kids to play, enough that they didn't complain (too much) about the lack of a TV. It's remote, but not more than 25 minutes from Fredericksburg and other small towns. Our city kids enjoyed being around real farm animals. Overall, quite a good trip.
