The house was super clean, updated and so comfy! The fireplace inside was so cozy! We enjoyed fishing off the pier and while on the canoe. Very peaceful and quiet! Loved it and will for sure be back!!

Very clean, comfortable, peaceful. Kitchen well equipped. Very nice back porch for relaxing by the lake. Quiet. Would highly recommend. Convenient for cable and Hayward restaurants trails etc

Great place to stay. Super clean! Very relaxing! Just what our family needed to reset before heading into another busy school year. The kids spent hours on the lake in the canoe fishing. The host was great at communicating. Highly recommend.

Wonderful cabin! Close to many hiking trails and outdoor activities. The cabin was cozy and very clean. Would stay there again!

This was our second opportunity to stay at Big Sisu and it did not disappoint. Warm, cozy, spacious, and chock full of amenities. Great home base for all our skiing activities. I wish I could live here.

Peaceful Place

If you are looking for a convenient quiet place with beautiful views this place is for you. The newly remodeled cabin has a Scandinavian feel and is clean and comfortable.

Great house and location. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the backyard fire pit next to the lake. Would love to rent it next year but it’s difficult with a full house and 1 bathroom, the house needs a 1/2 bath.

What a fantastic long weekend at Big Sisu!

The property was beautiful! The home is clean, stylish and modern. While it was just my husband and me for this trip, a larger family would be comfortable in the space.

Beautiful Location & Home

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable home. Enjoyed evenings on the back porch watching the quiet lake. Great home base for a mountain biking weekend - easy access to the highway to head to Cable or Hayward. We'll be back!

Perfect stay. Absolutely everything we needed in the house. So cute, great design, very clean and just enough space. Lake was so peaceful. No motorized boats and not very big- make it a little oasis. Owner/Jesse super responsive to questions. Will definitely be back!

Nice as advertised

It was a nice place to stay, fairly recently remodeled. Comfortable and quiet. Having a canoe available was nice. Good utensils and a nice deck to sit on. The only thing it lacks was a dishwasher, but we washed by hand and it wasn't bad.

Perfect snowy ski weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Big Sisu! It was the perfect location for us to the Birkie Trailhead and a great place to relax after skiing. The cabin is spacious, well-appointed and just lovely. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood, beautiful snowy lake views, and amazing fireplace. The host is very kind and communicative. Thumbs up from the entire family who would love to stay for future ski trips!

Very nice

This is the second time visiting Big Sisu. I've stayed in Little Sisu twice also. Both are great places to stay. Very quiet and private. There was a slight fly problem that didn't impact my visit. The owner gave me a heads-up about the issue. I had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend it.

Early Christmas

My daughter and I stayed in Big Sisu while visiting my son and his family. We fixed our traditional Christmas dinner and invited local friends to join us. The facility was perfect for our purpose. My granddaughter especially enjoyed the ping pong table. Coming back in March.

The Perfect Hideaway

If you're into big lake power sports, large gatherings, loud, late night bone fires, this is NOT the place for you. If you enjoy clean water, undisturbed shorelines, respectful neighbors, loons on the water, canoeing, good fishing (almost bigger than we wanted to catch in a canoe), reading books, lake swimming, clean, worry free accommodations, this IS the place for you. Although you don't get a basket of goodies upon check in (that you don't eat anyways), we felt this property was priced appropriately, had all of the necessary amenities (+Wi-Fi) and the host was as attentive as we required. Plenty of food choices and things to do in Hayward (grocery, restaurants, shopping, etc.) in the event you want to come out of hiding... at some point :)
