Grande View 1

Located in a quiet rural cul-de-sac in Harford County's farming community, this gem sits above a 7-acre lake amongst beautiful, wooded scenery. Grande View 1 is a newly built and furnished apartment with queen bedroom, full bath, kitchen & laundry as well as the ability to control heat and air. Lake access is a short walk through one of our three wooded trails from the house. Full 365-degree access to the lake for fishing, kayaking and birdwatching is available.
The space
Grande View 1 entrances into a large full kitchen / living room with granite countertops and large bay window facing 7 acre Lake Mitten. a hallway off the kitchen takes you to a bedroom with a spa feel. Another short hallway takes you to a large laundry closet with small utility tub, washer, dryer and shelving. Across from the laundry is a walk in closet with hangers. At the end of this hall is our beautiful full bath, marble countertop and large double sized tiled shower with full glass front. The bathroom has heat lamp, fan and is stocked with our fluffy white towels, soaps and shampoo (2 day supply).
Guest access
Guests will enter with a keypad code directly into Grande View 1. A door in the kitchen which connects to owners private space is locked. The accessible areas include the entire suite (kitchen/living area, bedroom, closets, full bath and laundry as well as the entire yard and lake area. Lake guidelines are provided in our guest book found in the suite.
During your stay
We are happy to answer any question you have via phone, text or in person if we are available.
Other things to note
The area is known for its agricultural offerings: fruit picking, farmers markets, wine vineyards and breweries. It is also known for outdoor sporting: fishing, watersports and hiking trails due to access to state parks, creeks and lakes. We are also just one hour from historic Lancaster County PA.

Beautiful, restful, and lovely place. It had all the amenities and little details that we need for comfort and peace. The hosts were very welcoming and supportive. They were responsive and diligent when we had a glitch in communication for the check in. I didn’t get the entry code on time, but once I messaged the owner Stephanie, she met me in person an the entrance and made sure I had a smooth access and transition. I would book again with pleasure a highly recommended it.

It was a pleasure to stay here. After many long, busy days helping with a friend’s wedding, it was nice to come back to my place and it really feel like a calm space. Kitchen was stocked and that helped make it feel like home. The bed and bathroom were so comfortable! Excellent communication which made the check in and out process smooth. The neighborhood was so peaceful and pleasant. I’d absolutely come back again!

Everything was just as advertised or better. When issues arose, the host was fast and effective at resolving requests. The space was spotless, up to date, secure, and offered such easy access to beautiful natural spaces. The living area was well-designed and light-filled. It was quiet and serene, and I enjoyed sitting outside on the covered porch area to watch spring develop over my 6-7 week stay. Strongly recommend!

The apartment had everything we needed. Several small appliances that most places don’t have. It was clean and very cute. Plenty of space. Beautiful view out the front door. The lake was a nice peaceful walk too.

Loved the lake. Location was amazing and quiet. The only complaint is it lacked in kitchen equipment, especially knives.

I had a wonderful stay at Grande view! The apartment was perfect and had everything I needed. I stayed for a month and the hosts were very respectful and answered quickly if I needed something. Laundry, full kitchen, hang out space in dining/living room. Bathroom was beautiful and clean. They even supply kitchen and laundry necessities. Would stay again! Thank you!

The unit was perfect. Very clean & well stocked. The host thought of everything to make you feel welcome & comfortable. Even a blanket to cuddle with on the chairs. Loved the decor, bed & pillows were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with the high tech appliances. Loved having a washer & dryer. We spent 5 days in this cozy well appointed apartment. Loved it

It's a very comfortable apartment in a beautiful part of the world. We loved being in the countryside! A few suggestions: We like to cook, so small saucepans with covers would have been nice to have. I think you should let folks know that the steps going down to the apartment could be a bit hard to maneuver for people with mobility issues. We left at 3 am to catch our flight home.. Lighting going up the steps to the parking lot would be good.

BEAUTIFUL

We were going back to our hometown for several activities over the weekend. The home is beautiful and off course I think Harford County Maryland is the most beautiful place on earth with it's rolling hills. The property sits on one of those rolling hills and there is a small lake in the back of the property that was enjoyable to walk around. The apartment was beautiful and exceptionally clean. There is nothing negative to say about the place. Next time we go back to visit family and friends we will always try to stay here. Thanks to the owners for offering such a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to stay. God bless!

Perfect HarCo Getaway / Workaway

Just completed a two week stay here while working at APG. Accommodations were complete and very well thought out. Toiletries and laundry / cleaning supplies were all on board and instructions made getting things done a snap. Stay included access to the community's Lake Mitten (private) and on a chance meeting with some of the residents found them friendly and polite. It was therapeutic 40 minute commute to the APG gate through very scenic HarCo roads with NO traffic, even at peak hours. Against the convenience of a much shorter back and forth in the Aberdeen area, this pristine place to stay is a hands down, without a doubt better place to stay. Plus Stephanie was great to work with. I'm keeping a bookmark on this one - one of the best VRBOs I've gotten to stay at... and I've stayed at quite a few. CHEERS and hope this helps make decisions to stay here!

Overall, Good

The area was modern with great amenities. I appreciated the ability to make the area comfortable for myself and the binder with the instructions for all the appliances and amenities. However, it was a little frustrating that I wasn’t sent the keyless entry code before check-in (Check-in was at 3, and I arrived at the location at 4:15.). The host kind of forgot I was coming (Her explanation was “this was her usual non-booking time.”). She also thought I booked through AirBnB, and she started giving me instructions for the wrong room… But once this part was corrected and I got access to the correct room, everything else was fine.
