We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The setting and 180 degree views of the ocean are magnificent. We walked to Cape Hedge beach to avoid the parking restrictions but it being late summer there were always a few non-sticker spaces available. Walking and biking around the neighborhood is easy and safe. The home was extremely well equipped and clean. Most days we chose to eat in on the lovely front porch but it was a quick drive to great restaurants in downtown Gloucester. We also appreciated the use of the garage. The pictures on VRBO do not do this home justice....it is far more impressive. We felt at home as we relaxed, read, did a puzzle, all while mesmerized by the phenomenal view of the twin lighthouses, spectacular sunrises and sunsets and the sounds of summer at the beach. We really hope to return soon!

Beautiful Beach house

Perfect for a family getaway! The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed to feel like we were at home! You can’t beat the views! We would love to return!

Family vacation

We were on our yearly family vacation and were very pleased with our stay! The house is so much better than described! It is very clean and the views are breath taking! The town of Rockport and surrounding area is very beautiful!

Mesmerizing Views

We had a wonderful week stay. Beautiful views with water on three sides, great neighborhood for walking, comfortable and squeaky-clean home and a perfect master suite set-up on the second floor.

Beautiful Fall Week by the Sea

Can't say enough wonderful things about this home! Clean, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed on the inside, and the most picturesque deck and ocean/lighthouse views for days! We walked to the closer beaches, but many were a quick five minute drive as well, and same to the shops and restaurants in town. Such a great location! The owner was kind, responsive and so accommodating. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of Rockport and this beautiful area! Thank you for a perfect stay!

We loved this house! My family of 8 adults stayed here and it was very comfortable. The pullout sofa is in a secluded area even though it isn't in its own room. Getting to the local beaches was a bit of a hassle if we wanted to bring all our gear, but being close to beaches quieter than the famous ones like Good Harbor was totally worth it. Also great to be nearby downtown Rockport and other good restaurants.The kitchen and beach supplies (like towels) were very well stocked. There is a nice breeze off the ocean that kept us cool anyway that wasn't extremely hot. I highly recommend staying here! And take the hosts beach and restaurant recommendations.

Amazing week in fall

This house and the location is unique. We have experienced a very turbulent week of weather, from storm, fog to beautiful sun. The house is very spacious and the upper living and sleeping area offers unique views. Kate is a very helpful host and even accommodated very last minute requests. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

AmaIng setting! Immaculate house and a wonderful owner!

23 Eden is a wonderful property in an incredible setting. The house was super clean and I am a clean freak so this is a major endorsement! The house itself has a wonderful flow and feel with every window offering an amazing vista. The property owner responds quickly, has a very attentive and great care taker and we plan on returning next year! We had a difficult time leaving as we felt like it was our home and isn’t that what you want with a VRBO?!

Late Spring week in Rockport

Our family had a wonderful week in Rockport. We were fortunate to have clear weather most of the week. A bit chilly still in late May but we were not there for beach time. The home is very clean and comfortable. Excellent views and kitchen is well-equipped. Only one comment that the two downstairs beds are more like full size than queen but comfortable. It is very convenient to take the train into Boston for day of sightseeing.

We loved our stay. House is exactly as described, with fabulous soul soothing ocean views. The MBR is very special, with views on 3 sides of the water & the lighthouses. It was a joy to open my eyes in the morning. House is very comfy, very well equipped, spotlessly clean. It's about a 2 mile walk to town, and an easy bike ride. Lots to do in the area - we rented kayaks, went whale watching, got tix to the magical Shalin Liu Performance Center, hiked, biked & stared blissfully at the ocean. Owner was immediately responsive to questions. We hope to return!

Nice location

The house and location are lovely. Just a short drive (or walk if so motivated) to Rockport. Close to Gloucester and beyond - I took a nice drive up I95 to Maine. Also, nice little public path down to the rocks to enjoy the ocean - but just sitting on the porch can be relaxing. The issue I had during the stay wasn't related to the house itself, but the near constant work being done on a property directly across from the house. They started each morning at 6:30/7am and often went until 6pm or 7pm. Generators running, near constant noise with machinery or workers. The Town of Rockport (I assume) was also paving Eden road which added that much more to the noise. This all made it next to impossible to sit and enjoy the outside.

I am glad that you enjoyed our home and Rockport as much as we do. I am very sorry about the renovation going on across the street this October. The home renovation is mostly inside, but I guess they were working on the outside electrical lines this past week. I understand that the related noise took away from the enjoyment of our porch. I wish it had not disturbed your trip to our lovely home! It will be completed by spring. Thank you.

Rockport Coastal Vacation

This is a clean, well kept home in a fantastic location. The interior of the house is uncluttered, and it was easy for us to feel at home. Plenty of space and privacy add to the comfort of the stay. We loved everything about this home, particularly the very well stocked kitchen. Having a washer and dryer on the second floor is ultra-convenient. The views of the ocean are magnificent from both the first and second floor decks. There is also a private backyard, which is perfect for afternoon sunshine. The yard is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The location is near to both Rockport and Gloucester, without being too close to either. It is great to have the residence visitor pass for access to local beaches and parking. Trash pick-up at the house eliminates another hassel. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing two weeks at this home. We strongly recommend this property and will certain return for future visits.

The location of this house was incredible! You couldn’t ask for a better location. Wonderful views of the ocean and twin lighthouses from the front porch and dining room, and balcony upstairs. The most fabulous sunrises every morning from the front porch. There was a nice walking path to rocks at the edge of the ocean. The kitchen was beautiful however some appliances were not fully working. The oven had a number out and it was hard to know what temperature you were cooking it on. There was something definitely wrong with the dishwasher however it did seem to clean the dishes. There was a challenge for us with the laundry policies. Upon arrival the place was clean. Before leaving at 10:00am check out time, we were required to wash all the sheets and towels we used. We started this at 6:00am and just finished at 9:55am. The host was very communicative and helpful and gave us recommendations to many good restaurants in downtown Rockport and Gloucester. Overall a very nice stay.

Always a lovely stay.

I stay here every year, for years now. It is a lovely getaway. Owner is very responsive, and the property caretaker, Andy, goes out of his way to ensure that things are right for you. Rockport, Gloucester, and Cape Ann are top notch places to soak in the New England coastal life.

I love returning to this house

The home is in beautiful shape and is in one of the best locations in Rockport for a sweeping view of the sea and Thatcher's Island. I've now stayed in the house three times, and I plan to return many more times. Every room has some view of the ocean. The fact that the home is smaller than many others for rent (this one is 3 bedrooms/2 baths) makes it reasonable for me to rent myself, or with a friend, for a lovely seaside retreat.

Our favorite spot was front porch!

The home is beautiful. Well maintained. THe location is perfect. VIews everywhere! THey had just added 2 big comfy rockers to the porch. These became our favorite spots to sit and relax. THere are a few cars that go by. And a lot of walkers and runners. But all in all very satisfied with our stay. We have family in area but it was easy to get to Gloucester. The grocery store is close by. Had a family BBQ and plenty of room to cook and enjoy family time. We wouldn't hesitate to book again! THamks for a great and memorable vacation!

Wow

We rented the house for a sisters reunion. When I arrived, I was blown away at how beautiful the house and views were. All 6 of us agreed that the pictures on the website don't do it justice. From the kitchens to the furnishings to the beds and linens, everything was top notch. We were blessed with perfect weather and spent lots of time on the porches and in the backyard. The road is perfect for a walk or run. I have stayed in several VRBO homes and this one was by far the best, hands down. Kate was terrific to work with and responded quickly to all of my emails. I was hoping to book another stay in September but see that the calendar is full, and I know why! I will definitely go back!

Stunning Views, Classy Home

Just came back from a reunion weekend with my mom, sister and our 3 kids. We feel very fortunate to have lucked out with a property so perfect. The Daltons' home is beautiful, pride of ownership shows throughout. It is clean, spacious, with tasteful decor that makes it feel more personal than a hotel would be but not like you are house sitting for someone. Can't say enough about the views of the ocean from every window in the house and the house was clearly designed to take advantage of these views. I had the master bedroom upstairs and felt like it was a dream waking up to the spectacular ocean sunrises visible from the bed and from the ensuite bathroom. My two kids slept on a pull out couch in a mini living room adjoining the master bedroom so it was perfect. The house is wonderfully heated with radiant heating and there was a fire already built and ready to light in the working fireplace when we arrived. Designer kitchen which is a great space for whoever is cooking to also enjoy conversation with people at the bar or take in whatever is happening in the living room. The house has a simple elegance to it without being over the top. Highly recommended for anyone with picky taste about the interior of a place and who wants a quiet getaway. Rockport is pretty dead in the winter but we didn't mind that at all as we were looking for time together --cooking, eating, reading, playing card games etc. Gloucester, which is a 10 min drive up the road, had restaurants, kids' toy store, coffee shops etc open. Lovely home, wonderful owners.
