A sunny, spacious home base for exploring the many delights of the Viroqua area! This historic 4-bedroom home is a quiet haven in the midst of our vibrant downtown. Located just steps from Wonderstate Coffee, the farmer's market, and other main street attractions, you'll be close to everything you need while feeling like you're tucked away in a quiet cottage somewhere, with plenty of space to spread out and recharge during your stay.

A bright, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully curated place of respite, with all the creature comforts you need for your time away awaits you. Comfortable, luxurious beds with natural linens, newly remodeled bathrooms, an abundance of local art and handcrafts, bright, sunny rooms filled with plants, and pollinator gardens buzzing with bees to lounge in make the Guesthouse the perfect choice for those looking for an above and beyond stay.

Our Guesthouse is a culmination of many years of both traveling and hosting and has been carefully created to be the home away from home I personally have wished for many times as a guest. If you're looking for a cozier than average stay in a place that feels more like a loved home than a hotel, this is your spot! Also, our house is one of the original Viroqua Airbnbs, so come and experience a time-tested place enjoyed by many guests before you!

Guests have their pick of 4 different second-floor bedrooms, with the ability to sleep 8 all together via king, queen, full, and twin beds. There are also two full baths, including one on each floor, a fully stocked kitchen, living area, and indoor back porch for lounging. There is an absolutely lovely front porch and back deck for enjoying an outdoor meal, with a fully fenced in yard, kids' playhouse, and fire pit area. When we say there's room to spread out, we mean it!

Inside the house, you might feel like you're in a cottage in the woods, yet right around the corner, you can enjoy all the amenities provided by our vibrant Main Street. Take a 60 second walk around the block and you can enjoy a farm-to-table breakfast with the best coffee around, browse the Farmer's Market for local treats and Amish goodies, pop into the library, or stroll the main drag of local shops and restaurants. There are lovely paths for walking in natural places a ten minute's walk or short drive away.

Note: For those with certain sensitivities, we use all natural cleaning products in the house and provide natural-fiber linens, including cotton quilts and down duvets. Also, note that though we do have highspeed internet, there is not a television or other digital entertainment options in the house, as we seek to provide a space more conducive to respite, focus, connection, and creativity. We often attract folks looking for more of a retreat experience, or those looking to unwind with one another off-screen. All to say: be sure to bring a personal computer if you want to relax with some quality Netflix time during your stay!

The entire place is yours for the duration of your stay, enjoy! The upper floors of the house are our guest space, and though there is a basement, know that we don't prepare it for guests in any way.

Unfortunately, our home is not currently wheelchair accessible, and one must climb a flight of stairs to reach the bedrooms. Additionally, the house is not baby and toddler-proof.

We live a few miles outside of town, and are available should you need us at any point during your stay. If you prefer an in-person check-in to get you oriented, let me know and we can possibly arrange for that. Otherwise, you will be on your own during your stay, checking in with our lockbox at your leisure.

The Guesthouse has been closed for the past few years -- first due to the pandemic and then during renovations. If you've stayed with us before and are noting the changes, know that we no longer live in the residence and that guests now have access to the entire house, including all four bedrooms! We have updated many things to make your stay even more comfortable, including two recently finished full bathroom renovations.
