Great convenient stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an enjoyable stay, the condo was an excellent value for the rental price and the location was a great base for exploring the island. The bed arrangement including the bunks was excellent for our family of 6.

Just perfect! Super easy to communicate with and condo had everything we needed. Great location, we would stay here again for sure. The BBQs and outside eating area was a huge bonus. They were cleaned every day, we loved eating out there while the boys used the putting green. Can’t wait to go back!

5-night stay late Aug 2026. Active termites/ants crawled across kitchen counters and food prep areas all 5 nights. Maintenance visited twice, confirming the unit needs full pest treatment that couldn't be done during our stay. The master bedroom A/C also failed to cool, causing 5 nights of poor sleep. Management was responsive with visits but offered inadequate resolution/compensation for the unlivable kitchen and master room conditions. Verify pest treatment and A/C repairs are done before booking.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were really, really close to the Kihei pool for a swim meet. on the "quieter" side of S. Kihei Rd, so we liked the unit. nice central green space. it's an older building, but well-kept. easy to find parking. kitchen was really stocked. in-unit laundry was convenient.There is a 12(?)inch crack in the full-length glass window near the kitchen. not a big deal for us bc we don't have little ones, but i'd be concerned if I had young kids.

We had the best time at Maui Sunset! The unit was fabulous for our family of 6. Comfortable bed and beautiful kitchen and living areas. The grounds were incredible. From the green space, to the pool and hot tub, to beach front access. We could not have asked for a better family vacation!

Great communication from Maui Vacation Rentals. Condo was very well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen and complex had many gas grills available. The grounds were beautiful and sunset views were spectacular. Easy beach access, but shoreline was rocky and shallow so not great for swimming. Turtles were fun to watch. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the Maui Sunset many times before. We love the location and amenities. This was our first time staying not in a timeshare unit, so I didnt know what yo expect, but it was great. They do have a lot of breakable decore and we traveled with our 2 year old so we ended up placing a lot of the items in a closet to avoid any accidents, but that was a super minor inconvenience. We loved that they had beach towels and chairs to use. The bunkbed in the room was great when traveling with little. It was a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maui Sunset. Beautiful views in the morning and evening. The location ever convenient to restaurants, shopping, beaches, and other attractions. Our condo was very nicely decorated with plenty of space for when our son and his wife (who live on Maui) came over to visit. We would definitely choose to stay here in the future.

Disappointing Stay – Property Needs Attention and Better ManagementUnfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The condo felt more like staying in someone's outdated, cluttered home than a professionally maintained vacation rental. From an abundance of decorative vases and even a harp to closets filled with old swim toys and Christmas decorations, the space was overcrowded with personal belongings. It lacked the clean, organized, welcoming atmosphere you would expect from a vacation rental.The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. Neither AC unit worked properly, and we were left without adequate air conditioning for more than 24 hours, with bedroom temperatures reaching into the 80s. We ultimately had to sleep on the pull-out couch, which was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable, especially while on vacation.What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of urgency and meaningful assistance from Rentals Maui. Given the uncomfortable conditions and disruption to our stay, we expected a much more proactive response and a reasonable resolution.Maui is a beautiful destination, but this particular unit fell well short of expectations. Between the cluttered accommodations, poorly functioning air conditioning and disappointing property management response, we would not recommend this unit without significant improvements to the property and guest experience.

Looking to find Paradise?

Absolutely loved the location and the amenities along with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets everyday from the balcony or sitting on the beach. Lawn was the best manicured lawn I have ever seen. So so perfect and I like to return every year here

Great view. Appliances could definitely use an upgrade. The fan in the living room is broken and sheets in the primary are pilling. The plants on the lanai are all dead. It would be better to throw them away. The beach towels are very old and thin. Overall not bad - it’s conveniently located, beautiful grounds, and a nice ocean from from the lanai - but it could use some TLC.

We stayed at Maui Sunset for 6 nights and loved it! The grounds were wonderful with plenty of things to do and enjoy. The area is quiet and we didn’t hear any noise from adjacent neighbors. The view from the condo is great, we enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching the ocean. The place is overall well equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. There were towels for the beach and beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, and umbrella. The umbrella was broken and a couple of the chairs weren’t great quality but this was a minor concern. We had issues with internet access the first two days but Rentals Maui was very responsive and helpful with our issues. Overall highly recommend!

The Maui Sunset, where this suite is located, is absolutely perfect. It's an older property but so incredibly well maintained. The lawn is pristine, the pool is in great shape, there is a small stretch of beach that is easily accessible; there's a putting green (with putters!), shuffle board, tennis / pickleboard court with equipment you can borrow.The suite itself is fantastic too. Fully equipped kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs (x3), beach toys (enough for a toddler), puzzles and board games. The TV was set up with Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and Disney.The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a tub, the second bedroom has a bunk bed and a full-size bed. The AC is loud but works quickly to cool down the suite, the balcony has a great view of the property and the beach / horizon.We stayed here with my senior parents and our toddler son and it was just enough space for four adults and a child. My only feedback would be that the shower in the second bathroom is quite small - I am 5'1" and it felt very cramped so something to keep in mind if you are taller and plan to use the second bathroom.I'd happily return to the Maui Sunset and this specific suite for our next visit to Kihei, Maui!
