This house is really nice. Built in 1905, it had so much character! It does have a modern kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed staying there. It's well equipped with everything you need from a coffee pot to a crockpot, you'll have a home away from home experience. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are a good size. With the pool and other activities, we were never bored! It sleeps 8 comfortably. I highly recommend this property!!

My family of five had an amazing stay here! The property was very clean and had everything you could need on a trip away from home. There were so many games to keep us entertained during our time home from White Sands. My kids never said they were bored, which was a huge win! The pool was very well maintained and a great spot for us to spend our evenings. I loved that there was a designated children’s room and enough beds for everyone. The location of the house was also close to all the local destinations we wanted to visit during our stay. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to the dunes!

This place is wonderful! It is an old 1900's home with such unique features! Our 4 kids had a blast! The pool was not quite ready when we got there but the owner fixed that problem as quickly as he could and made us feel right at home! The game room is a fun addition and helped keep the kids busy while we waited to swim. The little balcony at the very top made for a nice little escape from all the noise. Would absolutely recommend!

Stayed here for a work trip and it was way better than any hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet neighborhood, and close to everything I needed. The game room and outdoor space were a great way to decompress after long days. Would definitely book again next time work or vacation brings us back to the area.

Lovely Place

My family loved this stay, the house, outdoor area and game area were fabulous! Anytime we had a question it was answered almost immediately, we were very impressed with the communication!

Family vacation

The house was beautiful, clean, well stocked with a variety of fun things to do inside and out pf the home. Spent great nights out in the pool and finished up with ping-pong games. Rooms were super spacious and beds very comfortable. Would love to stay there again.

Summer getaway

Our family had a great stay at this location. The house was perfect for all of us and the kids were swimming every spare minute. The owner was always very responsive whenever we had a question. Would definitely use this VRBO again.

BEST VRBO WE’VE EVER STAYED IN!!

Pictures don’t do this property justice! So much space to spread out both inside and outside with every amenity you could possibly want and so much more. Walking distance to an excellent grocery store and just a short drive to local bars, restaurants, and attractions. Host was super responsive!

Desert Oasis

The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The kids barely left the pool, and when they did it was just to play foosball. Everybody loved hanging out on the top floor balcony, gazing at the stunning mountains and observing the neighborhood below.

This is one of the best properties that we have rented. Emmanuel the host was super responsive. The house is centally located with tons of ammenities near buy. The pool was the perfect escape from the heat. The house was perfect! 5 stars!

What a beautiful home my family and I had the pleasure of staying in. Very clean, great amenities (game room, bonfire, and swimming pool - weather was cold but definitely would book in the summer) Emmanuel was very attentive and wanted to ensure our stay was comfortable and overall it was. What an impressive property! The couches were comfortable, lots of room for dining inside and outside. Loved the grill , the outdoor fireplace, the game room The loft bedroom upstairs is huge ! The little patio off of this room was perfect for drinking coffee and looking at the mountains. The host was super responsive to any questions or issues . Very smart and considerate to have noise machines in all the bedrooms to help with neighborhood noise beyond his control. The pool was a hit with my family especially the grandkids.there was pool noodles etc there and sleds for White Sands park. The kitchen was well equipped and man I wish I had that oven, very nice. I’m sure I’m missing a lot of other details that make this house unique and special. Warning all the bedrooms are upstairs which to me adds to the charm of this Victorian home but in case you have folks that can’t do stairs. Would definitely stay there again !!!!

Very comfortable stay

We really enjoyed staying at Monarco. We used the pool everyday. There was plenty of space. It was nice to have a washer and dryer and small kitchen appliances, like a toaster and blender. We found some saucer sleds and wax for White Sands right before we headed out. The host was responsive to our one need during our stay. My 8 year old daughter wanted to stay forever. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

Great house for family fun

The kitchen was well stocked, and the board games, air hockey, ping pong, pool, and other fun items from the listing were all as advertised. We especially enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and large TV where we watched movies together after a day out exploring. The house is < 30 minutes from White Sands national park, Lincoln National Forest, and the Cloudcroft ski resort, so while Alamagordo itself isn't a great tourist spot and the neighborhood the house is in isn't very nice, it is very well located for day trips, you get a lot of space for the money, and we never felt unsafe.

The pictures do not do this home justice! It is a gorgeous, charming Victorian home that has been updated with modern amenities. Nine of us stayed there (4 adults and 5 children). We had more than enough beds and bedrooms to accommodate everyone. The kids were thrilled with the variety of entertainment. We had planned to do more in the local area and actually ended up spending more time at the house due to all of the fun things that were offered: air hockey, foosball, pool, etc. We really appreciated how well stocked the house was with towels, napkins, plates, a dining table that fit all of us, and even sleds that we borrowed for White Sands! The host was super responsive. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. Thank you for the hospitality!

This is a beautiful home and our family had a wonderful stay. Everything is as it seems in the listing. It is an old house, so it has it's quirks. But the home was very comfortable for all 12 of us. The only feedback I would give is that guests do like to have the option of TV at night before sleep. TVs are so affordable these days, having a TV in a few of the rooms would be a nice ammentiy. And perhaps lounge chairs outside to sun bathe. Otherwise the house is perfect to host large families for their stay. Thank you!

This property was absolutely wonderful and the perfect spot for our family’s Christmas gathering! The home was spotless upon arrival, with a beautifully equipped kitchen that made preparing our full Christmas dinner—complete with turkey, stuffing, and all the trimmings—an absolute joy. The spacious dining room comfortably seated all 10 of us, creating the ideal setting for memorable holiday meals together.The outdoor amenities took our stay to the next level: evenings gathered around the fire pit, grilling on the full-sized gas BBQ, and endless fun on the on-site mini golf course. Our amazing host went above and beyond by providing saucers and wax for sledding at White Sands—no need to rent anything!The game room was a huge hit, especially the classic PAC-Man arcade machine that kept my husband entertained for hours. This rental was the ideal home base for exploring the region’s highlights: Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, the stunning White Sands National Park, and the quirky fun of Pistachioland.Extra Thank you to the host for providing Christmas decorations to make our holiday perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas getaway—highly recommend!

Thanksgiving

Loved the charm and character of this house! Two staircases added extra fun. Everyone arrived at different times and we had no problems getting settled in. The sun room was a favorite room to go to for some quiet time. The kids loved going to the game room in the back. We never got around to using the fire pit but I’m sure it would have been so fun and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with spices. Not sure if the hosts went out of their way for that since I mentioned that we were meeting up for Thanksgiving dinner. Any problems we had, the owner was quick to respond. The location was so convenient to the quaint downtown area and Lowe’s grocery store. All within a two to three block walk. There were plenty of games to keep the kids engaged inside the house, too. Maybe some plastic bowls for kids to use but not a big problem. Cleaning supplies, laundry tablets, trash bags and toilet paper were well stocked. I would definitely recommend this house. I’m thinking it would be an awesome place to stay in the summer to get more use of the outdoor space, including the pool.
