This was such an amazing stay! We celebrated all weekend and never got bored. There was so much to do around the house and we loved every minute.

Wonderful place for family gatherings. Beautiful house as described however, you cannot tell by photos or description but the driveway going down to the house is very steep and could be an issue for some guests. Kitchen was well equipped and very spacious for large groups. House was very clean. We had a small issue with the Hot Tub and someone was there within a half hour to fix. Pool and other amenities were great. Michael was very responsive and easy to work with. Would highly recommend!

What a beautiful place to gather as a family! Spotless inside when we arrived! Mike as the owner, and Mark as the property manager were so kind and quickly responsive with a couple of things that we needed. The only difficulty was the low level of the water which made the docks unusable. It was disappointing but even with that Mark helped with a solution to keep the boat at our house to use. Highly recommend this home and the people who care for it with it!

Beautiful home that easily accommodated 15 people. Pool, hot tub, pool table were amazing. Beds and couch were comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. The ice maker and wet bar on the lower level was convenient. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend.

Parking is a bit of an issue. The driveway is small and very steep. Room for perhaps 5 vehicles, which seems insufficient for a 9 bedroom house. The steep driveway can be a significant challenge for people with mobility issues.The house was very clean! Plenty of towels and bedding for each room. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with plates, utensils, etc. A dish strainer would be a great addition. The pool and hot tub are great, although the hot tub could use a cleaning.Both grills worked great, and we were surprised and pleased that there is a flat top grill. Hadn't noticed that in the house details or pictures.

We're happy you had a great getaway! As with most driveways at Smith Mountain Lake, the driveway does have a slope, but we also provide ample overflow parking for guests to use. We did not hear from you regarding complaints with the hot tub, but we would have been there same-day to remedy any concerns. Thank you for the feedback! *Beville Getaways*

Location, view, amenities and support from host were great! Wonderful choice for family and friends to enjoy each other in common outdoor and indoor spaces. Heated pool was a plus in the spring weather. The only thing I ran into was no TVs in the bedrooms and some rooms and bathrooms had to be cleaned. Overall it was a good choice.

We are so happy you had a great getaway! We take cleanliness extremely seriously and would have wiped down the bathrooms immediately if we heard from you. So sorry for that. The lake was also extremely low due to the unprecedented drought; that was very unusual!

Wonderful place to stay!

We had multiple families in for a graduation and there was plenty of room for us all. Spacious rooms, plenty of bathrooms, beautiful grounds we used everything on the inside and outside of this lovely home. Will be back!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our VT grad for the weekend. The house was stocked with everything we needed with plenty of room for the family and friends to enjoy each other's company. The pool was a hit as well as the hot tub. The lake is low but that is due to the draught we are in and is not a reflection of the host and house. The only downside is the driveway is VERY steep and with a few family members who are struggle with mobility, it was difficult. We loved the wildlife we could watch from inside house and outside in the pool!Thanks for a wonderful weekend and helping us celebrate our grad!

We had a wonderful time staying at Whispering Pines! The water level was very low so we couldn't make use of the dock but it looked like it would have been great to dock a boat at and swim. The floors weren't as clean as they could have been, but the host was nice enough to bring us a vacuum which was very appreciated. Also, the photos were a little deceiving of the yard. We though there would be space for our kids to play but the yard is VERY steep in the front and back of the house (including the driveway). Overall, not a big deal, but something to keep in mind.

We had a wonderful week at Whispering Pines Estate with our family of 23! The pool was welcomed with the heat and humidity! We loved the covered porch to read and relax out of the sun! We enjoyed the large table to eat dinner together and viewing the wildlife in the evening. We had an awesome week and are looking forward to returning next year!

Luxurious Memorial Day family retreat

Whispering Pines Estate exceeded all of our expectations! The property is gorgeous inside and out. It made for a luxurious and cozy family weekend on the lake. The pool, hot tub and dock were perfect for kids to play and the patios, firepit and views made for relaxing evenings with family. Excellent communication from the property manager and the house could not have been cleaner. Best rental house on SML!

The house was perfect for our group of 22. We rented a boat and were able to tie that to the dock. Everything we needed was at the a house and the amenities were first class. The pool area was a big hit with the kids and adults. Thanks Mike

Our family of 10 adults and 9 kids had a great time at Whispering Pines Estate. The amenities were exceptional and facility immaculate. Our young adults and grandkids thoroughly enjoyed a clean pool, hot tub and the lake. The ample outdoor seating accommodated kids activities during the day and adults relaxation in the evening. Mike and his crew's effort to make our family stay memorable is especially noteworthy. Thank you, Mike Beville.

Perfect for Family Getaway!!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation!!!! Your home is stunning! It was absolutely perfect for our family. Lots of room for little ones to run around and our grandbabies loved the pool. The adults also enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table. My favorite room was the porch off of the kitchen. So peaceful. We even had six young bucks come to eat the grass a few times. And the dock allowed us to rent a pontoon boat to enjoy for the week.

Great house. Difficult driveway.Would be nice to add tvs in the bedrooms and label the light switches. In shared bathrooms a row of hooks for towels would work better than a small towel bar.

Perfect Celebration home!

We celebrated our VT grad! Very spacious home for our family of 10, plus many VT students coming/going. We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool, going boating (rented a pontoon boat and pulled it right up to the dock), playing games in the lower level, eating meals around the large dining table, having s’mores around the fire pit, grilling dinner on the fabulous grill, and hanging out in the hot tub! We also ordered out from Vinny’s which is close by. Everyone mentioned how comfortable the beds were too! Definitely will be back!

The house was fantastic, lots of space and a great layout. The owner was responsive about questions with the grill and parking, great interaction. The driveway is very steep and so scary, none of our guest would parking in it. The ice maker in the basement is extremely loud, we thought there might be something wrong with it, so we turned it off and emptied the bin, just to be safe. The rooms were very nice, with plenty of room for everyone. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. The water pressure is not great but everything worked as expected. The ping pong table, pool table, and hot tub were a big hit. We could not get the outside TVs working, probably just a battery issue. However, the deck and views were really relaxing.Overall, a great experience.
