Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely regret that our regular housekeeper experienced a sudden medical emergency and had to be transported to the hospital just before your arrival. While this was completely unexpected, we immediately activated our backup cleaning team, who were already on their way within minutes to complete the turnover. We communicated this with you right away and offered to have the home fully serviced before your stay continued. Instead, you chose not to remain at the property and later requested compensation for your entire reservation, despite the issue being actively addressed almost immediately. We understand that every guest has different expectations, and we respect your decision not to stay. However, we do feel it’s important for future guests to know that this was an isolated emergency—not our normal standard of operation. Our home has successfully hosted many guests, and we take great pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming property. When unexpected circumstances arise, we respond as quickly and professionally as possible. We remain committed to providing excellent hospitality and appreciate the many guests who have recognized that through their experiences with us. We also believe it is important to clarify that the request ultimately expanded beyond compensation for the brief delay and became a request related to the entire reservation, which we could not fairly accommodate given the circumstances and our immediate efforts to resolve.

We take guest feedback seriously, but we also believe it is important that the full context is represented accurately. Upon being notified of a reported odor, we promptly arranged for someone to investigate the concern, including the guest’s suggestion of a possible gas leak. The concern was addressed in less than an hour, and the issue was investigated rather than ignored. The guest contacted VRBO before first notifying us directly, and VRBO subsequently gave us the opportunity to resolve the matter, which we did. Despite our prompt response, the guest requested a refund while also expressing a desire to remain at the property. Our refund decision was made through the applicable process, and the subsequent payment dispute was denied. We respectfully disagree with the characterization of the property and the claims made in this review. We also dispute the accuracy of certain photographs presented with the complaint. At least one image does not match the interior of our unit, including the wall shown. We stand by the condition of our property and the steps taken to address the reported concern. We welcome constructive feedback and are committed to providing guests with a clean, comfortable stay and responsive service. However, we believe reviews should accurately reflect the property, the events that occurred, and the efforts made to resolve concerns. Future guests can feel confident that we take reported issues seriously and make reasonable efforts to address them promptly.

Thank you for the honest review of the cleanliness of the home, but I am sadden to see you left a review of the exact damages you caused in the home that are documented with before and after pictures of your arrival and none of what you mentioned on this misleading review is the case. Unfortunately you having left this review and not responding to the claim made from all of the damages you caused is really sad to know VRBO allows for profiles like this to exist. I really hope you don’t have a pattern of destroying homes, not responding to claims, breaking and entering into supply closet and stealing supplies. Hosts have families, lives, and a business to run for others to enjoy.

Thank you so much for your stay yes the AC thermostat was being a little wonky but has been fixed now thanks to your clear instructions & detail with what it was doing! The lighting in the bedrooms has also been addressed and updated! We look forward to hosting you again!

Thank you so much Denise for your review. Yes we had a few hiccups during the stay but they were quickly addressed. The fan in the living room does work but by the time instructions were given to you it was time to check out! I’m not sure why VRBO has a hot tub listed but to be clear there are TWO BATH TUBS in the home not HOT TUBS! I’m glad that you would still recommend and return again with us! Looking forward to hosting you and your party again!

There was one issue we acknowledged at check-in: a shower curtain rod had been damaged by the previous guest shortly before this reservation and had not yet been replaced. We communicated this and immediately offered to refund the cleaning fee as a goodwill gesture while arranging the replacement. The guest chose to leave the following morning. The remainder of this review does not accurately represent the property. • The couches do not have the stains described. • There is ample functioning lighting throughout the home. • Extra sets of linens were available in the designated closet, as communicated. • The property has newer flooring in the kitchen and bathroom and has undergone other improvements. • Several claims made in this review are inconsistent with the documented condition of the home and reviews from other guests. The guest subsequently requested a refund through Vrbo, which was denied, and also attempted a chargeback through their payment provider. We welcome honest feedback and always address legitimate issues in good faith. However, we cannot allow disputed or inaccurate claims to be presented as fact, particularly after we offered a resolution for the one issue we acknowledged. We encourage future guests to consider the full history of reviews and the documented condition of the property rather than relying solely on this!

Hello Raymond your review comes as a complete shock to me, being that none of this was ever reported during your stay. It really is disappointing that you retaliate with an untrue review just because we requested an $8 mini bar balance to be paid & you refused. That is a shame, but I hope you travel with more integrity than to intentionally try to hurt one’s livelihood and business by spreading false information. My home is 95% booked for every month with reoccurring happy guest, so I understand when we get the 5% who can’t be pleased! Have a great year!

At no point during your stay did you make any of these concerns known to me—despite my check-ins to ensure you were comfortable. Had you raised them, I would have promptly addressed and remedied them. To be clear: The statement that the second bedroom had no lighting is false. The high-tech lamps in that room are operated by remote, which was available during your stay. The kitchen being “incomplete” is also incorrect. I have dated photos confirming it is fully equipped, including cutlery and all necessary utensils. The property is maintained to a high standard, and linens are freshly prepared for each guest. While feedback is always welcome when it is constructive and timely, it is important to note the context here: these comments appeared only after your request for a full refund was denied. Unfortunately, that makes this review appear less like genuine feedback and more like a retaliatory narrative, which is unfair to both myself as the host and to future guests relying on accurate reviews. I remain committed to providing a positive and comfortable experience for all guests and to addressing any issues promptly when they are brought to my attention.

We are truly disheartened to read this review, especially knowing it was submitted only after we declined a refund that was demanded via text—accompanied by a direct threat to leave a negative review. To be clear, the story shared here is not only exaggerated but contains claims that were never once brought to our attention during or after the stay. The only issue mentioned was that the guest left their car unattended with the doors open in a busy downtown area—an unfortunate but preventable circumstance. No mention of windows being smashed or any report of a robbery involving three men was ever communicated to us. Nor were we made aware of a shooting or police chase. Had any of these events truly occurred, we would have immediately supported a police report and involved local authorities, as guest safety is always our top priority. Our condo is located in a prime area of downtown Atlanta, steps from CNN, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and major attractions, and has hosted hundreds of guests without incident. Our security team, maintenance staff, and past reviews speak volumes to that fact. It is deeply disappointing when individuals attempt to weaponize reviews to secure refunds. We take pride in maintaining a clean, luxurious, and welcoming space for every guest—and we’re incredibly disappointed to have hosted a group that chose to retaliate with a misleading review rather than take accountability for their own actions. This guest’s claims are entirely false and are currently being investigated due to over $5,000 in intentional property damage caused during their stay. A police report and formal insurance claim are now in process. Had there truly been an issue with cleanliness upon arrival, the professional course of action would have been to provide photographic evidence or immediately check out, as our 24/7 support policy allows. Instead, the guest and her party remained at the property, hosted a party that violated house rules, and left the home in a state of vandalism. Broke into the supply closet, stole products out of the supply closet, left the water running in the bathroom, broke cabinets and most foul violating thing was urinated in the bed like animals. We have time-stamped photos and documentation proving the extent of the destruction. It is unfortunate when platforms are used to mislead and harm hardworking hosts who build safe, quality spaces. We welcome respectful travelers, families, and professionals—but we will not allow false narratives to go unaddressed.
