Host was very responsive and helpful throughout the process, the apartment has an ocean view and you get to see the ocean from the patio.

You can’t get closer to the beach! A few steps down and you’re on the boardwalk. Easy walk to restaurants and Pool Bar Jim’s.

We had a great stay. The host was very quick to respond when I had a question. The only issue we had- the host told me there was an umbrella and chairs and a beach cart all in the room.. but when we arrived, there was only chairs in our room. So that shortened our time on the beach a little bit. We would have brought our own umbrella. But overall not a deal breaker, we really enjoyed our stay.

Property was clean and well maintained. Although it is small, there was plenty of room for just the two of us. Im not sure if it would work for a family with kids. Ac works great in living room but hard to feel it in the bedroom area. Great location for beach access and shopping.

My one word…sufficient. Thoroughly enjoyed my solo trip! The place was clean, but a few sour smells when I opened closet/pantry doors. Glad I brought my oil diffuser. definitely used it! The view was nice, but not spectacular. Since it is first floor, there’s a lot of gorgeous vegetation between the balcony and the ocean. The essentials were there, and I was surprised to look in one closet to find board games and beach chairs. The fridge does not have an icemaker, but there were plenty of ice trays available in the freezer if you wanted. As a solo traveler, I had security concerns. There is no chain or bar to secure the door from anyone else who may know the entry code, which is just the room number. So I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the only one who could gain access. In fact, maintenance did have to come during my stay, and I had about five seconds to get to the door to say hold on before he was already opening it (assuming I was gone). Additionally, the peephole does not actually go through the door. It’s just a hole on the inside with no exit on the outside. And the window to the hallway is completely covered by a shutter on the exterior. I was glad there was a stick to secure the balcony door. Beach access was great! Walking to parks, shops, and restaurants fantastic! Food was good everywhere. I parked my vehicle upon arrival and never used it throughout my stay. Overall, I accomplished what I set out to do, and that was to have peaceful,solo vacation. Thanks!

Thank you for staying! Not sure about the musty smells in closets? No one has ever said anything. Unit is ocean front and you get a lot of salt air and humidity. We are working on replacing the door frame and adding another deadbolt for extra security. Thank you!

Wonderful small getaway.

Treated my mother to a short girls trip to Hilton head. Was pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful property that’s so close to the beach and matched my budget. The view from the balcony is wonderful, we ate outside every single night. While the bunk can take time to get used to, I found it very charming and snug! The shower pressure is very nice and all of the appliances were lovely for our needs. We really loved our stay here and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small place right by the ocean!

I am so sorry you felt the need to leave a 1 star rating. You never said anything about the mildew smell! We are having the air conditioner cleaned today. The fouble booking was the faukt of the calendar not updating, has only happened one other time in 8 years! When I told you about it and you could stay , you were more than happy. Goes to show, you just can't please everyone.

The value of this rental is the ocean view and the proximity to the beach. That really is lovely. Otherwise, it's an older condo and the feel of it is like a 2 maybe 3 star motel. There is a musty odor when entering but if you turn on the fans it helps with that. The air conditioning unit appears old and set up in the living room only so getting air to the bedroom is a challenge. The bathroom has no apparent vent. The silverware, plates, cups, linens, and bath towels are all on the cheaper side. Overall, it feels as if there is not a lot of investment in the place. If you are looking for just a place to sleep with a great view, then its a choice. Again, the closeness to the beach as well as restaurants is great.

Thank you for staying with us! Sorry you seem disappointed! Keep in mind, these condos ARE 49 years old. Because it is ocean front/facing it gets all of the wind and moisture from the salt water, this can create a "musty" smell. The PTAC unit operates the way it should and is cleaned regularly. As far as the dishes ect. just a personal preference I guess as no one has ever said anything. The owner has purchased new bikes, beach chairs, painted, new rug, new couch, new TV, new drapes, new bedding so they are really trying to make it nice. Thank you! Lori

Pleasant Stay

My husband and I attended the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament, and we had a great experience. The condo was conveniently located, allowing us to ride bikes to the tournament, which was fantastic. The hosts provided excellent bikes for our use, making it even better. The space was ideal for us, as we primarily needed it for sleeping. Although the space could use an update, it wasn't a major issue since we didn't spend much time there. Although we didn't need the items due to our short stay, it was nice to have all the kitchen items available. I have been to many rentals where kitchen items are virtually non-existent. It was also nice to be able to walk to the beach when we weren't at the tournament. I would recommend that the hosts consider adding an air conditioning unit in the bedroom, as it got quite warm during our stay in April, even before the peak heat of the summer.
