A must stay! The home is beautiful and so very spacious. The view is perfect and the area is quiet and peaceful. Would for sure stay again!

What a beautiful home and location!! This home is tucked away, deep in a canyon, about 14 miles from Chama, NM. Well worth the drive. The view from the front porch is stunning. We had to contact Vrbo to get the entry code. You see, we had no internet connection on our phones to retrieve the code. Other than that, a wonderful stay.

This cabin is spacious and beautifully situated in an unbelievably quiet forest neighborhood. It deserves the name Getaway. It is fully equipped with all one needs. The view from the porch of the Brazos Cliffs is breathtaking. The hosts are easy to reach and very accommodating.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to relax and unwind! We absolutely loved staying at The Getaway and look forward to staying here in the future. The hosts have outstanding communication with you during your stay. When we arrived everything was clean and all set up for our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every night watching the sunset!

This was the most lovely, well-appointed home that we could have dreamed of. The cabin is spotless and comfortable; you immediately feel at home. The porch/patio is where we ended up spending most of our time shaded by the big pines, dining, reading and watching the wildlife wander by. Did I mention the views?! Really, this place is picture perfect and we can't wait to return for another retreat from the real world. We visited in the summer, but the winter will be glorious with the big fireplace. Looking forward to that as well!

Excellent stay

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Getaway as we ventured north during the holiday season. Cabin had everything we required including a big stack of firewood for the great fireplace setup. Our first time to this section of NM and we are already talking about returning in the summer months.

This place is so cute and set up with everything you need to be comfortable. We spent time at the river (7 min walk from property), Herron Lake and El Vado Reservoir. We didn’t catch any fish, unfortunately, but everywhere we went was really beautiful. Abby is an amazing host, super helpful, kind and accommodating.

My friend and I were delighted with the cabin for a weekend getaway! Everything was spotless, with so many touches that made us feel welcomed and at home. The hosts were very responsive and proactive, and stock the cabin with everything you need for a great stay (and then some). The proximity to the Brazos Cliffs and the river is amazing, and we were able to view the waterfall after a short walk down the road (seasonal, can usually only be seen in April and May). The fireplace, porch, and nearby aspen grove were wonderful for relaxing.Those with mobility challenges or very young children would likely have difficulty with the stairs to the loft, though the main floor would be easily accessible. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Fly fishing getaway

The place was very nice, super clean and cozy. It had everything we needed for our stay. The communication was excellent and check in and out was super easy. The fishing was amazing! The river is a super close walk and was very scenic! I highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Exceptional Experience!

We had an exceptional experience from beginning to end at the GETAWAY. The cabin is beautiful, well-furnished, and super clean. The hosts were very friendly, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place for the whole family. We hope to be back soon!

This cabin is a spiritual sanctuary in its design. The beautiful porch, sunroom, and fireplace added to the charm. Very clean and well equipped.

Out stay was very warm, cozy, and exceptionally clean. Updated and friendly. Easy walk to fishing in the Brazos. Great communications with owner even amidst a snowstorm. Beautiful and easily accessible property with safe and secure area.

Cute comfortable cabin in beautiful setting

Booked the cabin for work purposes which ended early. Enjoyed the cabin so much that I decided to stay for a few extra days to enjoy it. The cabin is very well appointed with pretty much everything you will need and then some. The front porch is perfect for relaxing and the fireplace was great at night. Highly recommend this cabin for a stay in Brazos.
