This place was perfect for us! It is small, as described, but just what we needed. The couch was opened up and perfect for our 4 year old to sleep on. They provided sheets for the futon bed as well. The bed was comfortable. Perfect location! We walked to Congdon's for doughnuts and to their food truck night. Also walked to Mike's Clam shack. Ogunquit and York are a short drive. We loved the pool. Place was very clean. Would definitely stay again.

We could only tolerate about 30 minutes inside this rental before deciding it was uninhabitable for us. When we arrived, the interior was over 90F, extremely humid, and had a strong musty odor.We searched for the thermostat, but it was nonfunctional. Instead, the property relied on two wall-mounted evaporative ("swamp") coolers. When we turned them on, both units were covered in dust and blew dusty air into the room, making the indoor air quality feel even worse.My wife recently recovered from mold-related health issues after our newly built home required professional mold remediation due to a construction defect. Almost immediately after entering this rental, she began experiencing sneezing and itchy eyes. Combined with the excessive humidity and musty smell, we did not feel it was safe for her to remain in the property. While we cannot confirm the presence of mold without testing, the conditions made us uncomfortable enough that we chose to leave.I contacted the owner to explain why we could not stay. His response was that he does not turn on the window A/C units because of the expense and that we were welcome to pay to have the property tested for mold ourselves. I found this response disappointing and dismissive of legitimate health concerns.Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this rental. If you value a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment with reasonable climate control, I would look elsewhere.

We responded as soon as we received your message. When you first reached out, you asked for a full refund because you had already found another place to stay, without providing further details. We asked for more information, and that's when you mentioned the humidity — on one of the hottest days we had all summer. We advised turning on the AC in the bedroom, since the living room unit was already running..it is a small unit and takes roughly 1h ( at most) for the entire place to feel chilly. We understand you preferred to stay elsewhere, but we're not able to offer a full refund unless the property is rebooked — particularly given the unsubstantiated claims made in an effort to secure one. We appreciate you reaching out.
