This was our first time to North Captiva and we fell in love with it and Beach Dayz, the property manager and the owner were such a big reason. The location of the unit is exceptional. We were there during a slower time of year that actually was perfect for us. You walk out of the unit right onto the beach. It was very private. The unit itself was fantastic. It was clean, well stocked and firnished really well. Everyone on the island was super friendly and helpful. We are already planning our return.

We had a great stay! Great little house, perfect for our family of 3. I will say the WiFi didn’t give great Internet service & we couldn’t text when at the house, although I’ve had this same problem on that entire side of the island. The house was clean, great beach location, beds were very comfortable, and the booking process was easy with great communication. Thanks again!

Beach dayz

Loved the location and the unit. Very clean and well stocked. Would definitely rent again. Tortuga was very responsive and helpful from initial rental till we left.

This was our first trip to North Captiva although, as Floridians, we have visited similar islands, including Little Gasparilla, multiple times so knew what to expect. The location and experience were both excellent -from the concierge meeting us at the ferry to the amazing beach and sunsets. The house was perfect for our family of 4 - comfie beds, amazing coffee machines, family friendly set up. In terms of planning, we rented both a boat and lifted golf cart from Boats and Fun. I would highly recommend both, especially if you are comfortable at the helm. Making sure to toss in a couple extras (e.g., paper towels, TP, any special laundry detergent, etc) of the essentials is important as is thinking through your groceries / meal planning so you have what you need (there are restaurants but the menus are limited and it gets expensive). Recommend making sure to bring cash to tip the ferry guys, concierge, and others - they all are great. We would definitely rent Beach Dayz again - it was the perfect place to unwind and get some much needed bonding time before moving our son into his freshman year of college.
