Well, this is awkward… we ordered the ocean, and it clearly didn’t show up for your stay. Rude. 🌊 All jokes aside, we’re really sorry the view didn’t cooperate and that your upstairs neighbors apparently trained for a midnight furniture-moving marathon. That’s not exactly the peaceful getaway we aim for. We do try to be upfront that ocean views aren’t guaranteed, it's in the listing—but we completely get how disappointing that can feel when you’re already picturing your best “staring dramatically into the horizon” moment. As for the noise, that’s something we take seriously, and your feedback helps us keep improving the experience for future guests (and possibly invest in anti-stomp technology… still in beta). We do wish we’d heard from you during your stay—had we known, we would’ve jumped in to help right away or explored options to make things more comfortable. We never like missing the chance to fix something in real time. We appreciate you staying with us and giving it to us straight. If you ever decide to give us another shot, we’ll do everything we can to make sure the only thing you hear is the sound of relaxation… and maybe a seagull or two living their best life. -NexResorts

We’re truly sorry your experience was affected by the smell of smoke. We were shocked to hear this, as the resort is strictly non-smoking, and this is absolutely not the experience we want our guests to have. When you let us know, we did everything we could to make it right — including offering a full refund if you chose to leave, since relocation wasn’t possible at the time. We’re so glad you had such a great experience—from smooth check-in and quick communication to celebrating a birthday (we never miss a chance to be festive 🎉). It’s also great to hear the condo delivered on comfort and the little things that matter—like a proper kitchen setup and a bathtub worthy of a post-beach wind-down. And you’re absolutely right about the location. Being close to the quieter Edisto River side and within easy reach of everything else is kind of our secret sauce… well, that and clean spaces and good vibes. We really appreciate you calling out the resort upselling—and thank you for making it clear that it’s separate from your experience with us. That’s something outside our control, but we know it can be a lot, especially right after traveling. Your tip about being direct is spot on, and we’re sure future guests will silently thank you for that advice. Also, the EV charger note? Super helpful.
