Gorgeous property. A wonder for plant lovers. We enjoyed bird watching and hiking.The house was comfortable. We watched the sunset over the ocean and saw the mists roll in the next morning.We truly enjoyed our stay.

This property has a touch of old magic to it. Surrounded by trees and wild meadows, the house has a commanding view of the Pacific. It is so quiet and secluded that we were treated to a cow elk grazing below us and a black-tailed deer grazing above us.

The host checked in on us and invited us for coffee and view some art. The place was so wonderful and we had a day of good weather so just enjoyed the views and total privacy. Fantastic stay.

A happy return for us. This was the perfect port in the storm! The unique and thoughtful furnishings are enclosed by a solidly constructed home so deliciously cozy, and a wonderful perch from which to watch a wild storm.

The place was perfect for the two of us. The views from every where on the property pretty spectacular. We were given detailed directions to find the house.Being from the Midwest, we are not used to such steep driveways but made it. The house it self was as pictured. Anyone who books through VRBO will appreciate this: there were more than enough bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths of higher quality: more than enough sealed bars of soap and hand soap of higher quality:more than enough toilet paper of higher quality! Easy check in and check out. We requested an earlier check in and the host accommodated with no hesitation. If we ever get to the Oregon coast again, will definitely book here.

A comfy cottage in an idyllic spot with the most gracious host you could imagine. The property is just moments from a beach. And without leaving the property, you could hike and see a range of views, from deep woods to a sunset on the open ocean. Our time here is always restoring and we will return as often as we can.

Exceptional

Robert is one of a kind host. His place was the perfect getaway we were looking for and needed. It is perched atop a hill with some great views and privacy for a quiet getaway for two people. It is in a great location too.

The place and view were amazing! Even better than the pictures. Perfect getaway for enjoying the Oregon coast. Sunsets are incredible from on top the hill. It has everything you need to be comfortable. The host, Robert, was very accommodating. Looking forward to going back.

Place was lovely with great views and privacy. My only caveat is the wood-burning stove, which literally burned the heck out of my fingers because the handle has no heat protection. I’d say it’s pretty dangerous for young children who could get burned simply by walking by or touching it if the fireplace is on. Plus, you have to touch the handle to put in wood in and there’s no way to touch it when the stove is hot without burning yourself. so it’s not a great situation. Also, the shower is a little tight. but overall a good stay.

Lovely property, well appointed, incredible views of the Pacific… The driveway may be a little challenging for some smaller vehicles. Loved our time here, and hope to return soon!

Absolutely Magical!

Our stay was truly the highlight of our Oregon Coast trip. This property was absolutely magical...ample size for my husband and me with ocean and forest views. Quiet, comfortable, homey, with adorable decor. The highlight was the claw-foot bathtub with the ocean view and the incredible wrap-around deck where we sat and just listened to the birds for hours. Absolutely will be back!

Oasis above the sea

We loved everything about this house—it’s super private, quiet, clean and comfy. So relaxing to look out at the ocean when it’s clear, and equally cozy to watch the clouds roll over the hillside as a storm moves in. Thanks for sharing this place, and for making it dog-friendly!

The property has expansive ocean views as well as mountain and meadow vistas from the windows or from the wrap-around deck. The home is very clean and comfortable, but the seminal feature of the property is it's silent and serene setting. There is wild rosemary growing just outside the living room slider and the landscaping blends into the natural flora seemlessly.

Coastal Sanctuary

A very special piece of the PNW. The view of the ocean beyond the trees was breathtaking. The space was very cozy and unique. Well stocked with kitchen goods. And a beautiful deck from which to watch the sunset every night while having dinner.
