The property was very clean and comfortable and not far from my dad in Howell. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the lake however the boats and jet skiers made us a little nervous. We loved sitting around the fire pit making smores and watching the fireflies. The main bedroom was a little difficult to sleep in due to traffic noise but the other two bedrooms were much quieter.

My daughter and I loved staying there. The yard was perfect for a small family gathering and fishing for the kids. Communication was great and I was even able to extend for a few extra days when my travel plans changed. The traffic is a little loud in the morning, but nothing I couldn’t live with. I would stay again, and would definitely reserve a boat rental ahead of time from the marine nearby. I wasn’t able to secure one this time with short notice. Overall it was an excellent stay!

I grew up in the area and this place worked out well for us! I have family nearby and it gave us a great place to gather for the weekend. The public boat launch is close by so we able to get a boat in the water to use the dock. The house was clean and roomy for us. It had a nice study deck with railing as we had a few elderly people visiting too. The kitchen had a lot of utensils, pans, and dishes to use - sometimes rentals just don’t have enough of this stuff. Everything has been recently updated. I have to admit the road noise gets a bit loud at times. And the driveway is awkward though it has enough parking for a few vehicles which helped when we had visitors for the day. I would stay here again.

We had a great time at this property. The inside of the property was excellent. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there was enough space for our family. The view from the deck was really nice and we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. The large lawn was really good too. We also appreciated the two kayaks provided. Lake Chemung is really pretty. Adam, the host, was very responsive and the check in and check out process was easy. A couple of things that could have been better: the bbq needed a good cleaning and the chairs and fire pit area could have been set up better - chairs needed to be cleaned and large picky weeds removed. We did that when we got there so it was fine. It felt like maybe the outside wasn't checked before we got there. The inside was super clean and ready though. Overall, really good stay.

Perfect place to stay

Property was exactly as listed. House had everything we needed and then some. The neighbor had puppies and we watched fireworks on the dock, that was an added bonus! Very quick to respond hosts. I definitely recommend staying here.

My family and I had a recent stay at this home and it was an absolutely perfect. My daughters loved kayaking every day with easy access to the lake and every amenity we needed was at our fingertips; from the provided supplies inside the home to the convenience to grocery stores, shopping and excellent restaurants. We housed my 90 year old grandparents, my 20ish year old daughter’s and my 50 something year old self. Wish they had more than 5 stars to rate this place!

What a great place to stay at for a week! All the appliances were new and place was tip top clean. Was able to have friends over for a beautiful breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake. My granddaughter loved seeing the fire flies at night on the lawn below. Thank you for having AC!!!! It worked great! Would stay here again.

Great Stay in Howell, MI

My wife and I came to town for a family event. We rented this lake house for the location and because of the beautiful view of the lake. It was very clean and met our needs well. Any time we communicated with the hosts, they responded very quickly. The price was good and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this to friends and family headed to the Howell area!

Family weekend getaway fun!

We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful and well-appointed lake house with our family of 5! It offered everything we needed and more to enjoy a family weekend getaway. The location was right between Brighton and Howell, keeping us close to amenities (the putt-putt the owners suggested was only a few minutes down the street and so fun!) Our favorite was the backyard; a ton of space to play , cook-out on the deck, fish on the dock (the kids were thrilled to catch what seemed like hundreds fish this weekend!) and kayak around the shoreline. We can’t thank Adam and Angie enough for making their lake house available for us to enjoy !

Loved this place

It was an amazing short vacation for our family in a lake house. The property was extremely clean—I would have given it 6 stars if allowed. The furniture was great, and the owners made sure that the place was well-equipped to offer anything the guests would need to have a relaxing time. We had TV, internet, air conditioning, games, plenty of seating, and a great fire pit. We spent great time around the lake, fishing and enjoying the nice weather. We really appreciated the owners reaching out to us to make sure that we didn't need anything else to make our stay more than wonderful. Thanks a lot, Adam and Angie.

Nice place to hang out

Nice lakehouse to hang out while waiting for our grandbaby to come. Kitchen is well equiped w nice appliances. Beds were comfy. Enjoyed a nice evening down at the gas fire pit down by the lake & al fresco dinner on a very nice deck. Too late in the season for the lake, but great, calming views day and night. Yes, its on a busy road, but traffic calms quickly in the evening and remains pretty quiet until morning. Owners were helpful and responsive, checked in with us at the beginning of our stay and again mid stay (we were there for a while). Convenient place to stay anytime, great place for a laid back long weekend. seadonto

Great spot for the price

The house is very clean and the kitchen was very well-appointed for all of our cooking needs (aside from kitchen towels, which were scarce). The deck is lovely and has twinkle lights and tiki candles to add to the outdoor experience. The TV is great for a movie night - you can easily sign in as a Roku renter and feel that your data is secure. The furniture is nice and is clean and comfortable. The basement bedroom and bathroom are the most updated, but all bedrooms are nice. One thing to note about the basement bedroom is that there are no window treatments, and I was assured by the host that there are . The house is on a busy road and it sits right at a traffic light, so not having window treatments is a problem that should be addressed. I ended up putting the painting that hangs on the wall in front of the window for privacy, which worked fine but is not ideal. The only other criticism would be that the carpet and the rugs all really need to be replaced. They are old and dingy, and they are showing their age and wear and tear. In all, I would rent again, and the hosts were very responsive and kind!

Checking in and out was easy. The house is very well-stocked with pretty much anything you’ll need. They were easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The house was clean and nice and cool (it was 99 out when we stayed). The lake was beautiful and we loved using the kayaks. We enjoyed our stay very much!

A great place! I stayed here with my parents and my sister for a short family reunion and it was perfect. My parents used to have a place on a lake in Michigan so they enjoyed sitting on the back deck enjoying the lake views. Such a beautiful property. Great communication with the host! Due to a storm hitting the Midwest we left a day early and Adam was prompt in his response giving check out information. He even sent a note thanking me for taking the garbage out to the road on trash day. It's easy to treat a house like your own home when the moment you walk in, it feels like home. Thank you for a great stay.

We chose Lake Chemung because it’s the largest lake in Livingston county and we love the communities of both Brighton and Howell that we are situated between.

We have a cozy lake house with 100 ft. of frontage in a quieter portion of Lake Chemung. Being between downtown Howell and Brighton allows for a large variety of things to do during the day and night.
