Nice and Relaxing

My wife and I with our furry children had a great stay at this older but very nice home beachfront, roomy and comfortable, well appointed. Easy access to the beach and the screen porch is awesome. Definitively looking forward to staying again!

We loved this house. Although next time we will rent directly from the rental to avoid the fees

Nice older home on the beach which reminded us of the experiences we enjoyed when vacationing on the island as children.

This is a very nostalgic property and is reminiscent of "Old Edisto". I selected this rental for this very reason. Having spent numerous vacations on the island since the early 60"s, I wanted to resurrect this vibe for my siblings and their significant others who joined me for our stay in October. The Ravissant surely "fit the bill".

Delightful December Dayz at Ravissant!

As always the Ravissant did not disappoint! We watched old Christmas movies, walked on the beach and played Yahtzee. Enjoyed brunch at Sea Cow Eatery and saw dolphins at the marina at Pressley’s. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Beach week

You couldn’t ask for a better location. Being able to sit on the porch swing and watch the waves roll in every morning with my coffee was amazing. This is an older house but as someone who has been coming to Edisto since 1971, this house is the essence of what Edisto really is. We had a great vacation with only one small problem, the a/c was leaking but it was fixed before the end of the day. Couldn’t ask for a better host!

Great House

Loved Ravissant!! Would be great for two families. Two private spaces and accesses. Only warning. Lots of sand burrs on beach access! Wear shoes. Dogs may need them too!

Stave at Ravissant

The property was not acceptable. The kitchen was very ill equipped, no can opener, no oven mitts (had to use towels from the bathroom to get things out of the oven), very poor lighting in the kitchen area. There was no medium to large pan in the kitchen to cook in (my husband had to go to the hardware store to buy a pan to cook in). The light in the laundry hallway did not work so we have to use our phone light to get clothing in and out of the washer/dryer.I would not book this property again.

Well…. Don’t know what to say as we explain in detail that there are 2 kitchens and that house has more pots and pans, oven mitts etc than it needs. They must have not looked in the other kitchen. A simple call to the phone number we provide would have rectified this as well as a new light bulb. Uploading pics of pots and mitts now.
