The house was absolutely spectacular. It had every convenience including an outdoor kitchen with a huge grill. The fire pit was great and we loved making our smores on over the pit. We especially enjoyed the four kayaks available for out use and went out everyday. The upkeep and cleanliness were amazing. Everything was just perfect. And the host was in regular communication and responded to questions immediately. And the views! The house is right on the water and is just picture perfect. We simply loved everything about our stay. The perfect place for our family get-together.

When our large family arrived everyone's expression was jaw dropping. The setting was more than perfect. The Lake and the lake view was stunning, second to none. The amenities were overwhelmingly perfect. We could have left most everything we packed at home. The lake house detail was fantastic. The hosts were wonderful people being more than accommodating in every way. They go way out of their way to be sure your stay is the best and one you will not forget. Their communication efforts are top of the line..... leaving no call, text or written message unanswered, There is no doubt we will come back to enjoy this wonderful PLACE !JEH

Really can’t say enough great things about our experience at this property. The location overlooks the lake in one of the most scenic locations in the United States. All of the outdoor spaces were clean and well kept, including the lake equipment like kayaks. There are lovely seating areas around a large fire pit and all over the outdoors in general. All of these were fantastic for our group, and that’s before we even got inside the house. It was clean, beautifully decorated, with a large, well equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room with plenty of seating around the fireplace and TV. All weekend long we just could not stop saying how nice the whole place was. Communication with the host was easy, and any questions we had were answered quickly and completely. I don’t like writing positive reviews for places we stay because I don’t want to give it away to others but I have to say in all the places we have stayed on getaways and vacations, this property from top to bottom was the best experience we have ever had. I’ll end it how I started: we can not say enough good things about it.

Our host and hostess were outstanding. They were kind and made us feel so welcome in their home. The house was wonderful. It was so clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space for our group.

This was one of our favorite stays so far! The hosts were fantastic and very communicative, even letting us know we could check in early. They had extra special little welcome touches for when we arrived. It made the whole house feel so welcoming. The house and grounds were very clean and SPACIOUS! We had plenty of room to spread out and so many lovely spaces to hang out together. The views absolutely cannot be beat and the fire pit was so fun at night! I also really appreciated how the dock was not down a very steep incline, which is usually the case with lake houses. The house was fully stocked with everything that we needed. Their friendly neighbor even popped over to say hello. He was very kind. This was just a fantastic property that we would absolutely rent again. Thank you, Scott and Jennifer!

A VRBO rental!! My friends and I stayed here for annual weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Super clean, excellent accommodations and like the listing states, “Stunning” is right-on with this lakefront property. The hosts made the trip special with going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot on Great Lake Sacandaga!

Had a wonderful stay at this charming lake cottage! The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and right by the water. The cottage itself was cozy, well-equipped, and had a beautiful view from the porch. We spent our days kayaking, fishing, and just relaxing by the lake. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a great spot to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful time in this well equipped and spotless home away from home for a week. The weather couldn't have been better and the outdoor area allowed us all to play games and have cookouts enjoying each others company. The kayaks gave the kids many hours of fun and the dock at sunset was the place to fish. Scott and Jen are very proud of "His Place" and it shows. It's a great place for multiple families to come together and celebrate family.

Host was very prompt with responses to any questions. House was well equipped from the kitchen to the kayaks. Loved all the outdoor sitting areas. Fire pit area was great. Enjoyed cooking outside on the Blackstone and traditional grill. You could walk to mini golf and a public beach. Great vacation spot. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!!! Superb hosts!!

Excellent Rental

After our last minute cancellation by VRBO, we stumbled upon this lake front home which met all our family’s requirements( not an easy task). We could not have picked a better location, house, and host. The house was big enough for our family of 12 with room to spare. The generous hosts met all of needs and then some. We even got a welcome gift package. I highly recommend this stunning (and it was stunning) lake house. We will book again.

Wonderful Family Getaway!We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful lake house on Great Sacandaga Lake! The 180-degree lake views were incredible, and we never got tired of sitting outside and taking in the scenery.The outdoor space was one of our favorite parts of the property. The fire pit with Adirondack chairs was perfect for relaxing in the evenings, and all of the solar lights made the area feel so cozy after dark. There were plenty of kayaks and life jackets, plus outdoor games that kept the kids entertained. The deep-water dock was great for swimming and kayaking, although it was quite rocky with the waves, so water shoes are a good idea.The only things to be aware of are that water access is only from the dock and there are some steep, rocky hills around the property. Since we had teenagers with us, this wasn’t a problem at all, but families with younger children may want to keep it in mind.Our host was wonderful and always quick to respond whenever we had a question. We truly made some wonderful family memories here and were sad to leave. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend this lake house for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway!
